Since there are millions of Jews, you can find Jews who believe about everything.

Even Jews who, unlike yourself, have believed - from the 1st century up to the present day - that Jesus of Nazareth, himself a Jew, is the man messiah.

The vast body of religious Jews believe all the same.

Why then are they famous for their quarreling?

There are some fringe groups, but that you'll find everywhere.

A remnant.

It sounds like a few days to me, not thousands of years.

So the man you are looking for will be born some day in the future and, in just a few days, accomplish everything the messiah is prophesied to do? A three or four day old child fully functioning as the messiah?

Jesus is a Jew. He taught in the Temple and in Jewish synagogues. He was teaching Judaism to a Jewish audience.

Bringing a new god that nobody had ever heard of before, is not a Jewish thing.

The Torah is very clear about that: "If there arise among you a prophet or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or wonder, and the sign or wonder comes to pass whereof he spake onto thee, saying: Let us go after other gods which thou has not known, and let us serve them; Thou shall not hearken to the words of that prophet or dreamer of dreams, for the LORD (Y-H-W-H) your God proveth you, whether you love the LORD thy God with all your heart and all your soul. You shall walk after the LORD your God and fear Him, and keep His commandments and obey His voice, and you shall serve Him and cleave to Him. And that prophet or dreamer of dreams shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn you away from the LORD your God which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which the LORD thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shall thou put the evil away from the midst of thee."
Deuteronomy 13:1-5.
We’ve previously discussed the spirit of the law vs. the letter of the law. Paul didn’t throw the law overboard.
Saying that you don't have to do the law anymore is throwing the law overboard.

Jesus is a Jew. He didn’t bring a new god that nobody ever heard of. His God is the God of Israel -> the God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel.

Jesus requires doing the spirit of the law.

He brought himself as the new god.

He brought himself as the new god.

Jesus ascended to his God (and my God). There is no God besides the God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel. That is who he ascended to.

See his conversation with the scribe in Mark 12:29ff.

… the whole messiah subject is not important, it is no big deal in Judaism.

You’re spending an inordinate amount of time discussing it. That has my attention.

“The common 21st century view of Messiah amongst religiously oriented Jews is someone who will usher in the coveted peace on earth that mankind has longed for since ancient times. Many religious Jews agree that when the Messiah comes, ‘the lion will lie down with the lamb’ and peace will rule. Yet, since that day seems no nearer today than it did 4,000 years ago at the time of Abraham, many Jews have abandoned all hope of a coming Messiah, or of the rule of peace.”

(Rachmiel Frydland, What The Rabbis Know About The Messiah, p. 1)

Rabbi Frydland appears to support your comment about the subject not being important in Judaism.

You have retained your belief in a coming messiah but have joined a religion where many have abandoned the hope, while others haven’t but consider it to be “no big deal”.

I can’t think of a bigger deal.

There is another thing which is very important, for Jews and for non-Jews, and that is idol worship. That is a transgression which carries upon it the death penalty.

Being wrong about the messiah is not a big deal, I don't think you get whip lashes for it. But worshiping a carpenter who died 2000 years ago, is idolatry.

And that is BAD.

An anti-messiah figure, a false messiah, will be coming onto the world stage. Do you believe it?

The people worshipped both God and the king (1 Chronicles 29:20).

The carpenter you’re alluding to was born a king.

Well, kings usually are not born in a stable. And he never was a king. And I don't think he ever is going to be a king.
