Ezk. 21[3] And say to the land of Israel, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I am against thee, and will draw forth my sword out of his sheath, and will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked. In Ezekiel 21:1-7, it describes that the forthcoming Day the Lord will destroy Judah and all the ungodly peoples in the Middle East. It is clearly stated that He will do away with the righteous and wicked alike......
However, in Isaiah 29:1-4, it is prophesied that a few Jews will survive by sheltering underground. As Romans 9:27 also says.
But just as with the ten Northern tribes, there are millions of people around the world who are descended from one or another of the 12 tribes. Only God knows, Amos 9:9, although most; we can identify from their Christian faith.
The 144,000 will be selected from those peoples. Revelation 14:1-5 and it will be them who proclaim the Gospel of the coming Kingdom. Revelation 14:6-7 and Isaiah 66:19
[4] Seeing then that I will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked, therefore shall my sword go forth out of his sheath against all flesh from the south to the north:
[5] That all flesh may know that I the LORD have drawn forth my sword out of his sheath: it shall not return any more.
> God is speaking to Israel, who think that they are righteous by keeping Moses 10C Law, thus calling all who don't keep the Law as being wicked.
The "sword" taken out of his "sheath" [sword being revealed]", is the word of God made to be flesh, who is Jesus, of whom has Himself obtained the Righteousness of God, whereby He has eclipsed all forms of righteousness by the Law, as well as all forms of wickedness without the Law.
Isa. 29
[1] Woe to Ariel, to Ariel, the city where David dwelt! add ye year to year; let them kill sacrifices.[2] Yet I will distress Ariel, and there shall be heaviness and sorrow: and it shall be unto me as Ariel.[3] And I will camp against thee round about, and will lay siege against thee with a mount, and I will raise forts against thee.[4] And thou shalt be brought down, and shalt speak out of the ground, and thy speech shall be low out of the dust, and thy voice shall be, as of one that hath a familiar spirit, out of the ground, and thy speech shall whisper out of the dust.
> Ever since the day of Pentecost, the message by Israel: "to keep the Law is righteousness", has been eclipsed by Jesus fulfilling all the Law. Thus fulfilling:
He will do away with the righteous and wicked alike......
Therefore, Israel is now 100% subject to Jesus and His NC.
Since 70 AD, Israel no longer has a place or a voice in the matter, and by necessity has figuratively gone "underground", still speaking erroneously, claiming to be "the chosen of God".
