I did. She didn’t. (Maybe I need a breath mint?)

You might have, but Lambano is speaking to me about desiring to speak to this woman (the woman which started this thread) rather than me (who is also a woman) who he has posted a reply to first, I am only answering after the fact. Thus my reply. Try quoting her (rather then me, who he does not care to hear from) but posted to me (I am only replying to his posts to me).

I think the question is, "Is there a need for equality?"

Or did the pigs in "Animal Farm," achieved equality by making themselves more privileged than the other animals.

Me thinks that the pigs were the first shipped out for profit, but I read that book so long ago that it is only clogging up my memory allocations of what I need to remember.

My memory is prompting me that I wrote a few posts on this very topic a while back now and is too far back to remember accurately.

I don't want anyone to feel excluded.
Thank you, Ms. Kayla. That’s very thoughtful of you, and I appreciate your concern for our feelings. Really.

To be honest, I don’t think it’s necessary. There are very few subjects I would not feel comfortable discussing in mixed company. I mentioned two to Ms. Truly. I have been happily married for over 40 years, and i am not about to complain about my wife on a public forum, even if I had something to complain about. And the Sweet Lady has specifically asked that I not discuss sexual matters with women after I was a little too open and transparent on another Christian forum with a woman who wanted a man’s perspective in order to understand some of her issues with her own husband. I will honor my wife’s request, and I do not need a men-only forum to discuss that subject at all.

I can't help the first thing that come into my mind when it comes to designated safe spaces these days, especially on online forums, just so men cannot respond (but they can often just click on it to read).

If its that important to be private, just shoot another woman a private message if you have a question you do not want a man to know about (or repond to).

I mean, how many subjects can possibly fill up a forum that any woman would desire to exclude a man from?
There was a lot of men on the forum who were rude, controlling, condescending, hateful, and verbally abusive in their posts to and about women. It was needed that women have a space to just discuss things calmly without being attacked. It is what it is.

Ask and ye shall receive. Don't stand around and accuse ....ask the admin for a men's forum like several of us women did.

TLHKAJ, that is not "a man thing" since women can be the same way, so its not really a man or woman thing per se' its just behaving in an ungodly manner, whoever they may be (whether its a man or woman) they should just be banned rather than create new spaces to escape them.

At the risk of being told that it’s none of a man’s business, why did “the women” ask for a forum to themselves? Has it been a popular forum? Might it be more popular / active if it was located in a forum that isn’t marked “Christians Only”?
I believe it was ‘ Christian ‘ women that requested the forum, so why would admin put it in a non Christian area.

Thanks. I reckon locating the women’s forum in an area where “Christian” women would have an opportunity to impact and influence women of other faith in their conversation might not be a good idea.

Along the same line of thinking, a forum for men, if one were to be added, wouldn’t likely be located in an area where “Christian” men would have an opportunity to impact and influence men of other faith in their conversation.

I provide pastoral counseling to men and women (and children) of all faiths in my capacity as a chaplain. My mind drifted to the experience.

The conversation (about a potential men’s forum and the existing women’s forum) taking place in the forum for “Christian Newbies” - which is a forum not identified as “Christians Only”- is an interesting location choice.

As an aside, I wouldn't mind separate rapture forums (pre, mid, post, etc.). Sometimes, it nice to discuss things with like-minded people without always getting attacked.

I understand your train of thought Matthias, and it’s a solid point. My response was in context of the original request for the forum. However , something to consider, Christian’s are not allowed to start threads in the non Christian forums. So that Would complicate matters further. All of us, I hope would feel able to come alongside non believers if they raised an issue within a thread on the non Christian forums.
