Could it be that it was not offered in faith or because the fruits of the ground had no blood?

It is something I've always wondered about. Cain had crops and Able had flocks. Why was God displeased with Cain's offering from his labours? Be interesting to see the replies.

“By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.” (Hebrews 11:4)Could it be that it was not offered in faith or because the fruits of the ground had no blood?

I wonder if Cain’s offering were not the first fruits of his crops. Purely conjecture here. Also, no blood, no remission.Could it be that it was not offered in faith or because the fruits of the ground had no blood?

Hebrews says he didn't have faith, Abel did.I wonder if Cain’s offering were not the first fruits of his crops. Purely conjecture here. Also, no blood, no remission.
Good point. But I still wonder about his first fruits. Maybe his wicked heart kept him from giving God them?Hebrews say he didn't have faith, Abel did.
Only the born again like Abel can walk in faith and be seen as justified by their fruit (works).Good point. But I still wonder about his first fruits. Maybe his wicked heart kept him from giving God them?

When did Abel become born again, scripture please?
Bless you!
But please don't derail this thread down that rabbit hole.
I am SURE @Dave L means 'heart of faith after God', = One that hears His voice. As Enoch , Abraham, Moses, David and the like...it was just a 'turn of phrase'...I am sure you know that!
The answer is quite simple. It is something I've always wondered about. Cain had crops and Able had flocks. Why was God displeased with Cain's offering from his labours? Be interesting to see the replies.
