@Marymog ..I can see our difference now.

YOU are talking about " all agreeing"....I was speaking about being One in The Spirit. Two very different things. One is through the mind , the other is through the Spirit.
What does "One in the Spirit" mean?

Scripture doesn't talk about speaking as one in the spirit. It talks about all agreeing on the same doctrines, beliefs practices etc.

That is why the Apostles laid hands on men and ordained them. They were then to teach other men and ordain them. They were to teach other men and ordain them (2 Timothy 2:2). Do you think they were all allowed to teach whatever they want as long as they were speaking one in spirit (whatever that means)?

Scripture doesn't talk about speaking as one in the spirit. (AGREE ... I did not say that it did!! )
It talks about all agreeing on the same doctrines, beliefs practices etc.

That's not how I read it.

John 17 "That they all may be one, ( nothing about 'speaking' ) as thou, Father, art in Me, and I in Thee, that they also may be one in Us...

..I in them, and Thou in Me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that Thou hast sent Me, and hast loved them, as Thou hast loved Me."

9 Do you think for a minute that this blessing is only pronounced over those of us who keep our religious ways and are circumcised? Or do you think it possible that the blessing could be given to those who never even heard of our ways, who were never brought up in the disciplines of God? We all agree, don't we, that it was by embracing what God did for him that Abraham was declared fit before God?

The plain and simple fact of the matter is that the Canon was declared by the Catholic Church - and NO OTHER earthly Authority.

You mean the "Universal Church" as it was known in those days, right?

In "those days", the Catholic Church was a title - not a mere description.
Allow me to educate you in the Greek . . .

In the 2nd century document, The Martyrdom of Polycarp, the term, "Catholic Church" is used.
The Catholic Church gets its name from the GREEK for “according to the whole” and “universal” - εκκλησια καθ ολης, which is pronounced “ekklesia katah-holos”.
Εκκλησια (ekklesia) - A gathering of citizens called out from their homes into some public place, an assembly; CHURCH
Καθ (katah) - Through out, according to
Ολης (holos) - All, whole, completely

Here is an excerpt from The Martyrdom of Polycarp:
When finally he concluded his prayer, after remembering all who had at any time come his way – small folk and great folk, distinguished and undistinguished, and the whole Catholic Church throughout the world – the time for departure came. So they placed him on an ass, and brought him into the city on a great Sabbath (The Martyrdom of Polycarp 8 [A.D. 160]).

If "Catholic Church" was only being used as a description here - it would make absolutly ZERO sense in the Greek.
It would go something like this: ". . . the whole throughout whole Church throughout the world."

This is proof positive that at least TWO centuries PRIOR to "those days" that you refer to in the 4th century - the official title of the worldwide Christian Church was "The Catholic Church".

Actually - it's a great source for keeping my finger on the pule of the moronic wackos who pervert the Scriptures.
As I read your posts - it's really no wonder why YOU glean your answers from them . . .
What does teh bible say,

Mat 15:10 And he called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand:
Mat 15:11 Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.

keep it up we know who your father is, you are in his image.

And King James was around in the 4th century when the Canon was declared by the Catholic Church???
You can't be this dense.

The New Testament YOU and ALL Protestants adhere to was declared by what YOU consider to be the "evil" and "apostate" Catholic Church. So, I ask you yet AGAIN:
WHY
do you adhere to a canon of Scripture that was officially declared by an "evil" force??
Why on earth would I care for the "catholic canon", its catholic doctrine not God given, You dont own God, neither did your religion invent Him, a very corrupt version maybe but not teh real one. Jesus came to set teh prisoners free, all you do is put them into bondage, your whole religion has rejected Jesus for its own corrupt doctrines and pagan rituals. But as I have said before, it is difficult for a blind man to comprehend the light. You need a guide dog.

And the fact remains that YOU adhere to the Catholic canon of the New Testament.
WHY is that??

We wrote it.
We compiled it.
We declared the Canon - ALL under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

And your angry response has absolutely nothing to do with the linguistic evidence I presented.
You never even addressed it.

Gee - I wonder why . . .

Those wackos pervert the Scriptures like nobody else - and YOU swallow every morsel of it.

Al lHe ever did was call men to Himself, but as is teh norm He is denied of men.
What is The Church Jesus speaks of?

I feel you are calling me a liar because of the words you are using. Why else would I feel that way? Are you calling me a liar?

Maybe what you are practicing is putting YOURSELF in prison? Is that possible?

So if your not hearing from the Holy Spirit you are just making all this stuff up in your own head? Guessing what is right or wrong or how to interpret scripture?

You are clearly told NOT to go on Feeling. Any thing that is not of God is sin. So feeling are not of God and come from the liar. If you are not telling the truth then you would indeed be telling lies. So you dont need anyone to tell you what you are even if you lied. Thats all fairly straight forward and simple. And even if you got it wrong and where not telling the truth. That just means you dont know what the truth is and have yet to learn what it is. Still wouldnt make you a liar. What we do and get wrong is not who we are is it? So you need to stop telling people to box you. and you also need to stop forcing them to sin by making them call you a liar.

Hi Sword,

What is love? What is hate? Are they not feelings?o_O

Where does scripture "clearly" say that we are not to go on feelings? 1 Peter 3:8 and Romans 12:15 list a whole bunch of feelings we should have.

Forcing a person to sin by MAKING them call me a liar? I control his keyboard? I must have magical powers

Both LOVE and HATE are decisions not feelings.
Feelings follow the decision we make.
That is like man saying- " You made me so angry so I had to hit you. It wasn't my fault, you made me do it."
Love and hate are choices. We'll do anything to not be responsible for our own choices.

Dear ByGrace,

Compassion? Loving? These are not feelings?

You have no feelings when you are rejoicing? No feelings when you weep (Romans 12:15)? You just decide to weep when your spouse dies?

When you love someone you don't FEEL different then you do with someone you just like? Or even hate?

You didn't answer my questions: Where does scripture "clearly" say that we are not to go on feelings?

Forcing a person to sin by MAKING them call me a liar? I control his keyboard?
