Yes, for people who have been hurt badly it can be very difficult or even impossible to forgive the instruments of those hurts...

Corrie Ten Boom was a woman of God with great testimonies of what she went through in the way of pain, personal physical suffering, and the deaths of her father and beloved sister to the Nazis... How much would or could God expect from her? With God's help she made it through that and then also the meeting with this converted Nazi and yes even shaking his hand in forgiveness... And us?

All of us Protestants know salvation is not earned by repenting of sin. But some don't know that you have to repent to be saved. You can't accept Christ and still have it in mind to continue in your old life. People who truly want to be saved hate their sin. They don't want to live in it anymore. The person who says they want to be saved and stay in their sin is a fake and a phony. You can't be saved without a change of mind about the sin that condemned you.

He wasn't using below the belt middle school humor to be mean and uncompassionate to the Judaizers/Legalists. Paul knows that they know the law, and that the law says that any man who's genitals have been crushed or cut off is not allowed into the Assembly.....

No man with crushed or severed genitals may enter the assembly of the LORD. Deuteronomy 23:1​

He knows by their own law that if the circumcisers would go the whole way and cut off their penises (Galatians 5:12) they would be required by the law that they say must be followed to be cut off from the Assembly. And so their Judaistic, leavening influence in the church would end. So stop using Paul's words as an excuse to be mean and uncompasstionate toward legalists. Their influence in the church must end. But we are still to love them. Legalists are people too, you know. People Christ died for.

One thing the Jury is NOT “ out” on is this: If you “PREACH” a False, Perverted Gospel That says one must ADD to the Gospel Of Grace in violation of 1Cor15:1-4 to be Saved—you are “ Accursed” .........that’s just a polite way to say you are going to Hell....

Legalist, at the very LEAST “shipwreck” the Faith Of many....especially Newbies who are vulnerable to lousy , Confused Teaching.They Rob people Of their Assurance and Joy......and if “ Falling from Grace” means Damnation....You really got a Problem , don’t you? Go ahead and “love” those that could very well be going to Hell and taking countless others with them because in their Hearts , they really don’t Believe the Gospel That could have saved them.....that first half Of the Gospel..... That part that says “ Jesus died for your Sins?” .....they don’t believe it and they don’t allow others to believe.....

God does not love Tares.....He’s gonna have His Angels gather them up some day and “ lovingly” send them to Hell......I can’t “MAKE” myself Love Tares and/or Legalists ...

It occurred to me through these discussions lately how you boast of the grace and love and understanding and long suffering of the Lord in your own sin, but turn right around and rob that same love and compassion and understanding from the equally sinful legalist who has hurt you.
