I have no objection to referring to Mary as the blessed virgin Mary, because every saint in Christ Jesus presented to the Lord, shall be a blessed and chaste virgin (2 Cor 11:2).

All that abide in Christ therefore can be fairly addressed as the blessed virgin 'so and so'.

Well this is contextual in periil. It sounds like you are saying its okay to be called special because everyone is special (which means no one is special)
The question is WHY they are saying. Are the elevating Mary above her human station blessed AMONG women?

The catholic Church does not teach that Mary is coredemptrix.
There are some in the Catholic Church that would like to give her that title but the Catholic Church has not adopted it.
"Christ is assisted by the Virgin Mary in her triune role as co-Redemptrix, Mediatrix, Advocatrix. The following 13 points are an important part of a correct understanding of this doctrine. 1. Mary's triune role as co-Redemptrix, Mediatrix, Advocatrix is a reflection of the Three Persons of the Holy Trinity."

"I simply trying to understand how people get so bound up in attacking others doctrine."

Yeah. I know. Been around for a long while. When the prophets began to rebuke and attack 'others doctrine', just because 'others doctrine' attacked the truth of Scripture, they deserve to be killed for it.

Same with Jesus, when He attacked 'others doctrine' and 'others traditions', He likewise deserved death. And so with Stephen, and Paul who certainly was on a daily rampage of attacking 'others doctrine' and 'others commandments of men'. (Acts 17)

The point being of course: it is the false doctrines of men that are first attacking God's Word. And defending the truth against Scripture is a commanded obligation of the church.

But those who would please men rather than serve Christ, not only do not care to defend the Gospel of the cross, but rebuke them that do as 'attackers of others doctrine'.

It is very simple. Rebuking and rejecting false doctrine, heresy, mystical delusion, etc... is not harassing anyone, but rather defending the faith of Jesus found only in Scripture.

If someone that claims the name of Jesus does not like that sort of dispute, then that someone simply needs to stay out of it. Why would such a someone even try to engage in it in the first place? Since to oppose false doctrine is attacking 'others doctrine'?

So today the apostles would be rebuking all denominations doctrines because they have been mixed with mans.

"I simply trying to understand how people get so bound up in attacking others doctrine."

'Others doctrine': false doctrine of man in opposition to doctrine of Christ.

There is no 'others doctrine' in Christ Jesus. There is only one doctrine of Christ, and if that one doctrine is being forcibly replaced by 'others doctrine', then we are commanded to rebuke them sharply and not even bid them God speed. (Titus 1) (2 John)

This thread is not about attacking any people of faith, including good Christians that call themselves 'Catholic'.

This thread is about exposing the mystical Blessed Virgin Mary as a myth, and offering instead a sound observation from Scripture, that we all are one day to be called Blessed Virgin Bill, or Juan, or Thu Nguyen, or...

Because we are ALL to be presented to the Lord Jesus a chaste and holy virgin (2 Cor 11). A Blessed Virgin Church, with no big 'I's and little 'u's.

And the mysticism of just One and only One Blessed Virgin called 'Mary' attacks the truth God has for us all. It is not just a sweetly innocent and charming dream. It is a diabolically sweet and charming fraud, that has had millions of good Christians diverted from the power and the grace and the faith that is in Jesus only, to be chasing after a Blessed woman in heaven, who herself wants absolutely no part in it.

If someone really wants to give honor and respect to the faithful Israelite woman Mary that gave birth to Jesus on earth, and then continued in His faith after His resurrection, then stop idolizing her as the One Blessed Virgin 'Mary' in heaven. And in turn, she will likewise honor and respect you.

"Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen." (1 John 5)

Please find me an official statement that Mary is co-redemptrix.

Luke 1:34 - "Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?" Where does that say anything about Mary always remaining a virgin?
Luke 1:34
Then Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I do not know a man?

Mary was a betrothed girl who knew about marital relations and how babies are conceived.
She didn’t say, “How can this be, since I have not known a man?
She said, “How can this be, since I do not know a man?

She was stating her intention to remain a virgin and was puzzled by Gabriel’s announcement that she was to have a child. She KNEW that God was aware of her intentions. Her bewilderment and the words “I do not know”, as opposed to I have not known”, is clear evidence that she had NO intention of having marital relations.

This actually supports the 2nd century document, The Protoevangelium of James, which said Mary was consecrated a Temple virgin by her parents – much like the prophetess, Anna (Luke 2:36-38). She was to marry the older Joseph, a widower, who was to be her protector.

You are conflating a Spiritual "Virginity" with the LITERAL virginity of Mary.
She remained a literal virgin her entire life - and this has absolutely NOTHING to do with the fact that Christ's Church will be presented to Him as a "Virgin" Bride. By the way - that is NOT an individual symbolism for each person, but refers to the ENTIRE Church as a whole.

As for your last statement in RED - we do NOT practice idolatry, so your continual insistence that we DO id just another filthy anti-Catholic LIE.
"Idolatry" is the WORSHIP of something or someone other than God - AS a god.

"She was stating her intention to remain a virgin and was puzzled by Gabriel’s announcement that she was to have a child."

Well, we learn something new everyday.

"How can this be, since I do not know a man? And I don't ever plan to know a man..."

The Protoevangelium of James, She was to marry the older Joseph, a widower, who was to be her protector.

I.e. the non-scriptural product of a 2nd century effort to glorify Joseph and begin his cult worship. Just as pagans had been doing for thousands of years, especially in the Hellenistic realm of ancient Rome.

There is absolutely no Scripture whatsoever to suggest anything other than is plainly written and normal to understand. Mary and Joseph were to be wed and live as Husband and Wife.

And so, this whole One Blessed Virgin Mary stuff is not Bible, but 'protevangelium'. Right. Got it. Good reading, I'm sure.

It is truly a marvel to watch how people are compelled to mangle a whole string of Scriptures, in order to try and push a false teaching. It is an intellectual exercise of manipulation that dives deeper and deeper into itself. So that the normal person of average sense looks at it as a whole and can only marvel. (Rev 17)

"Christ's Church will be presented to Him as a "Virgin" Bride: that is NOT an individual symbolism for each person, but refers to the ENTIRE Church as a whole."

Tell that to the 144,000 numbered individually. (Rev 14)

Every believer presented to Christ is a virgin. Whether having had sex on earth or not. God no more knows nor honors anything after the flesh.
Wed no more know anything of Jesus after the flesh (2 Cor 5), and we no more know Mary having anything to do with her time in the flesh.

In heaven the promise is that all that stuff will go away forever. We don't bring along our baggage nor our lifestyles. The only One reminding us thru eternity of His time on earth will be Jesus. He still has the marks of His crucifixion in His body.

Once again, Pope Francis says Mary is not the 'co-redemptrix' (cruxnow.com)

Pope Francis explains why he does not consider Our Lady co-redemptrix | ROME REPORTS

"Co" in co-redeemer, co-Mediatrix, etc. is Collaborator. Mary "assisted" in our redemption and she assists in our mediation with Christ.

This context does not give Mary equal status with Christ, or usurp Christ in anyway. She, rather, merely cooperated and collaborated with Christ.

In a sense we, too, are co-mediators every time we pray for someone. We are offering intercession/mediation for our friend when we pray for them. This does not make us God or equal with God, it only means that we are cooperating with the economy of God when he asked us to be a family and pray for each other.

In terms of Mary as co-redeemer, she did in fact, cooperate in the redemption. When she made her fiat to accept God's will for her to bear the Christ Child she was cooperating in the redemption of mankind for it was through her that the Redeemer came into the world.

The solution to problems like this is not suppression but education.
"co" just simply does NOT mean "equal to".

I was talking of the natural born mother, not the begotten Son.

Either Jesus was God at birth or He wasn't. Either He is always God, always was God, always will be God or Scripture lied. A women does not give birth to half a person but a whole one. That is the meaning of Theotokos, Christ was never not God and Mary gave birth to God. She didn't make God and Christ didn't become God at birth, His Godhood can never be separated ever.

Your heresy is that sometime later Christ became God, even if you don't say it outright it is implied.

Daughter of Zion
The Prophet Zephaniah 3:14-20 speaks of the Daughter of Zion, the personification of the city of Jerusalem. Let us reflect on the significance of this title of the holy city of Jerusalem and see how and why the Church appropriated the title for Mary, Mother of the Lord.

Daughter of Zion is the personification of the city of Jerusalem. Zion was the name of the Jebusite citadel that later became the City of David. In the many texts of the Old Testament that speak of the Daughter of Zion, there is no real distinction to be made between a daughter of Zion and the city of Jerusalem itself.

In the Old Testament, the title Virgin of Israel is the same as the Daughter of Zion. The image of the bride of the Lord is found in Hosea, Chapters 1-3: It reflects the infidelity of the people to their God.

Jeremiah 3:3-4 speaks of prostitution and the infidelity of the bride. Virginity in the Old Testament is fidelity to the Covenant. In 2 Corinthians 11:2, Paul speaks of the Church as a pure virgin. Here, virginity is the purity of faith.

Throughout the Old Testament, it is in Zion-Jerusalem that God shall gather together all of his people. In Isaiah 35:10, the tribes of Israel shall gather in Zion. In Ezekiel 22:17-22, the prophet describes God’s purification of his people that shall take place “within” the walls of the city, in the midst of Jerusalem.

The Hebrew word used to describe this inner section of the city is “beqervah,” a word formed from the root “qerev” meaning something deep, intimate, situated deep within a person. It also means the maternal womb, the intestines, the breast, the insides of a person, the most secret area of one’s soul where wisdom, spirit, malice and the Law of the Lord dwell. Therefore, the city of Jerusalem has a definite maternal function in the history of salvation.

In the Christian Tradition

The Second Vatican Council formally called Mary “Daughter of Zion” in the dogmatic constitution on the Church “Lumen Gentium” (No. 52). The Church’s appropriation of this title for the Mother of the Lord has a rich Scriptural foundation. Mary illustrates the prophecies of the Old Testament that ascribed value to the eschatological role of woman as mother both of the Messiah and of the new people of God.

The title Daughter of Zion evokes the great biblical symbolism of the Messianic Zion. Mary illustrates the prophecies of the Hebrew Scriptures which ascribed value to the eschatological role of woman as mother both of the Messiah and of the new people of God: the individual person and the whole people being very closely united, in line with the cultural structures of Israel.

For the prophets, the Daughter of Zion was the spouse of the Lord when she observed the covenant. Mary’s role as Daughter of Zion, or for that matter any of her roles in the life of God’s people, can never be understood independently of Christ and of the Spirit, which he bestows upon all humanity in dying on the cross.

Lumen Gentium” says that all theology and Marian piety belong to the mystery of Christ and to the mystery of the Church.

Mary, Daughter of Zion, is the archetype of the Church as Bride, Virgin and Mother. It is not only biological virginity, but also spiritual virginity, which means fidelity to the Scriptures, openness toward others, and purity in faith.

Mary’s words to the servants at the wedding banquet in Cana (John 2:1-12) are an invitation to all peoples to become part of the new people of God. Mary is the new “Daughter of Zion” because she has invited the servants to perfectly obey Jesus the Lord. At Cana this new Daughter of Zion has given voice to all people.

Both at Cana and at Calvary (in John’s Gospel), Mary represents not only her maternity and physical relationship with her son, but also her highly symbolic role of Woman and Mother of God’s people. At Calvary, more than any other place in the fourth Gospel, Mary is “Mother Zion”: her spiritual maternity begins at the foot of the cross.

As “Mother Zion,” she not only welcomes and represents Israel, but the Church, the People of God of the New Covenant. At the foot of the cross, Mary is the mother of the new messianic people, of all of those who are one in Christ.

She who bore Jesus in her womb now takes her place in the assembly of God’s holy people. She is the new Jerusalem: In her own womb was the Temple, and all peoples shall be gathered back to the Temple, which is her Son. The Mother of Jesus is indeed the Mother of all of God’s scattered children. She is Mother of the Church. Mary is the first Daughter of Zion, leading all of God’s people on the journey toward the Kingdom.

Must you be so mean and insulting? The Protoevangelium of James is a historical document, and not official Church teaching. But we know what you guys think about authentic Church history, you don't like it so you are forced to invent your own. If I appeal to Protestant historians, it still falls on deaf ears. Your prejudice is glaring.

The Bride of Christ is His CHURCH and is not limited to the 144,000 written of in Rev. 14. YOU are not the Bride of Christ and neither am I or ANY other individual.
The Bride is the CHURCH, collectively.

As for the Protoevangelium - I never claimed that it was Scripture.
It IS the document, however, where EVERY Protestant theologian gets the name of Mary's parents and gives historical insight. Not only does it support the idea that Mary intended to remain a virgin - YOU have failed to refute the textual evidence of Luke 1:34, as she responded to the angel.

Good job . . .

Wow. I must have been seriously been unclear. let me go back and check.

Ok. I think I know the misunderstanding. First off, my bona fides of Jesus as God. There was the true God everlasting, called the Word of the Lord. When that true God was begotten of God the Father on earth, at that time did the true God and Word of God begin to be called expressly by Scripture as the Son of God.

A begotten Son of God was only in prophecy (Is 7) (Rom 1), before He actually came into the world as the seed of David. Neither His name, Jesus Christ, nor His title: Son of God was heralded in Scripture, until He came to fulfill the prophecy.

I am not saying that the true God the Word was not from everlasting with God, I am saying that to refer to Him as Jesus the Son of God before His coming was not known nor spoken of in Scripture.

The Word, the true God would become the Son of God called Jesus in Scripture, when He came down out of heaven upon the earth to be begotten of God.

One more time, this way: The true God and God the Word was with God from everlasting and was God from everlasting, and when he was made flesh, He became known for the first time by Scripture to all creation as the Son of God, named Jesus Christ. I.e. The eternal Word and God was not called Jesus in Scripture, until He was actually begotten on the earth.

I think I'm being clear now, if not a little overboard in it.

Sure, heresy 101. You are now denying the Trinity with your explanation. Whether or not Scripture call's Jesus by name or Christ by name or not He has always existed from time immemorial. There was never a time, ever that Jesus Christ was not God and He didn't just poof and become a flesh god as you want to say when Mary gave birth. Mary gave birth to God, not by creation but by the fact of the hypostatic union. Christ always was, always is, and always will be.

What ever you are it is not an orthodox Christian

Correct. Heavenly Jerusalem is the ministry of Christ: the mother of us all. (Gal 4)

"this title for the Mother of the Lord has a rich Scriptural foundation."

Incorrect. Don't see any 'mother of the Lord' Scripture. Maybe Lumen G. know where that is, since he obviously made it up.

"spiritual virginity, which means fidelity to the Scriptures, openness toward others, and purity in faith."

Fidelity to Scripture: Correct. (2 Cor 4) (2 Peter 3). Pure in faith: Correct. (1 Tim 1) Openness towards others: ? Need to explain that one. Don't se it in Scripture. (I for one am definitely not open to others doctrine that is without Scripture, and especially when contrary to Scripture. In that regard we are warned to guard our hearts)
