Jesus 2nd coming is:
Rev. 19:16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, King Of Kings, And Lord Of Lords.
Jesus does not destroy jerusalem nor the sanctuary so you are in error again!
26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

Yes in verse 26 the people who destroy the sanctuary is the focus.
but in verse 27 the "he" who confirms a covenant for 7 years is th efocus. Grammatically the "he" must go back to its nearest antecedant that matches in gender and number- and that is the prince of the people that shall come. That is not jesus.
And you have it backwards, it is the people who define who the prince is! A Roman prince!
So you believe that Jesus' people are Jewish rebels and not the church? Interesting false concept. Ypour logic is more fallacious than your false use of grammar.
Let us review-- "of the prince that shall come" is the preposition that identifies who are the people. Israel was not destroyed by Jewish rebels, but by the Roman Legion X corps under Titus!
It is this prince that shall enter into a strong covenant with Israel for 7 years and in the midst of that 7 He shall cause the saxcrificew and oblation to cease.
Jesus never entered into a covenant for 7 any time span with Israel. In th emidst of that 7 that did not take place the sacrifice and oblation did not cease any time Jesus was alive until 70AD!

That's a totally defunct interpretation of Daniel's symbolic 70 weeks.
There 3 Periods in the 70 weeks prophecy of Daniel 9:
1st Period: 7 weeks (49 years):
From the command to restore and build Jerusalem.
2nd Period: 62 weeks (434 years):
From the end of Jerusalem restored to Christ's 1st coming.
3rd Period: final "one week" (7 years):
At the very end of this world just prior to Christ's future 2nd coming.
In Daniel 9:25 the phrase "Messiah the Prince" marks that it is Christ Jesus being spoken of, as ALSO in the first phrase of Daniel 9:26.
In Daniel 9:26, after mention about Messiah being "cut off", the latter "prince" is about the Roman General Titus who's army destroyed Jerusalem and the temple in 70 A.D.
Then the latter part of Daniel 9:26 regarding the "end" coming as a flood, and until the end wars and desolations are determined, that is from the time of 70 A.D. to our days, and all the way up to the last "one week" just prior... to Christ's 2nd coming. That very end is when the coming pseudo-Christ will arrive in today's Jerusalem, build the next Jewish temple, and proclaim himself as Messiah and as GOD.
What events were revealed through the prophecy-Dan.9:24-27?

In Daniel 9:24, Israel is given 490 years of opportunity through the yearly sin sacrifice to truly confess of their sin of idolatrous worship before the coming of their Messiah whose purpose was to change the process by which redemption would then come by. This verse can be broken into two parts.
The first section is the requirement for Israel to repent of their continual idolatrous worship and to then put away that sin of idolatrous behaviour before the end of the second age of their existence such that the iniquities of the fathers of the first two ages of Israel would not be visited upon the fathers' children and the children's children during the third and the fourth age of the existence of the nation of Israel. (Ex. 20:4-6) The nation was given 490 yearly opportunities to repent of their sin through their offering of their individual and corporate sin offerings. Because the nation of Israel would not repent of their sin, the visitation of their iniquities began at the very beginning of their third age of existence and would continue until the completion of the fourth age of their existence which is due to end in our immediate future from now, i.e. within about 25 years years time. The time count for the 490 years began from when the temple was repaired and sacrifices could once more be performed on the Temple's altar, with the last year of the time span being the year before Christ was born. Christ was born at the very beginning of third age of the existence of Israel, which corresponds to beginning of the fifth age for the existence of mankind.
The second portion of this single verse prophecy, speaks about the change to the process of how their sin will be forgiven after the cross through the single sacrifice of their Messiah on the Cross. The same forgiveness process is also available for the Gentiles who repent of their sins, since the time of the cross.

Because the Christian peoples ARE the true Israel of God, this requirement has been met.
The fake Israel, the Jewish State of Israel, now faces their final Judgment/ punishment and only a remnant will survive.

Not the opening of the 7th Seal. It is Daniel 9:27. It is the week of the 7th Trumpet. That is when the week is split with Satan's 42 months of utter desolation. Daniel is pointing to Jesus Christ confirming the Atonement Covenant at the 7th Trumpet. John claims Satan gets 42 months when God stops the celebration and allows Satan full access to the vineyard. Revelation 13 splits the week of the 7th Trumpet in half. Revelation 13 is after the 7th Trumpet begins to sound. 3.5 days after the 7th Trumpet started to sound. Satan sets up his FP and his AC for 42 months while the 7th Trumpet continues. Then for 3.5 days, while the 2 witnesses lay dead in Jerusalem, God pours out the 7 vials on Satan's desolate kingdom, and the 7th Trumpet finishes at the end of the battle of Armageddon. The one hour battle on Sunday between 5pm and 6pm. At 6pm, the Trumpet stops. Daniel's 70 weeks end. Satan is bound in the pit. Monday starts the Millennium with a resurrection. Those resurrected rule with Christ 1000 years. They have offspring and rule as patriarchs over their own Nations.
Physical death is the only escape after the Second Coming in the 6th Seal. Those killed who are elected by God to be resurrected in Revelation 20:4 are the ones who reign with Christ on earth. The church remains in Paradise, the temple of God. That is where God's alter and throne are. Revelation 7:9-17

Armageddon is Christ returning to reclaim the throne in Jerusalem. It was vacated in Revelation 13:
7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
Satan gets to control the vineyard for 42 months. Christ leaves and comes back 42 months later for Armageddon in Revelation 19.

Jesus Christ is the Messiah Prince that shall come. Satan is not the Second Coming Messiah. That is a false teaching and private interpretation giving Satan the role of Coming again.

Private interpretation turns the Revelation of Jesus Christ into some Roman diefied man. That is a tragedy of interpretation. At the trial of Jesus Christ, His own people demanded that His blood be upon their hands and their children's hands. They brought about the destruction of their own city that day. That it happened 40 years later, it included their grandchildren as well.
The 70th week of Daniel is the Revelation of God on earth as Messiah 3.5 years, and as Prince until the conclusion of the 7th Trumpet.

Since there is slightly under 2 years left of those 490. This generation can still be the one that repents.
Jesus Christ is defined as the 70th week. Gabriel only gave them 483 years, until Messiah. After 483 years, Messiah would be cut off. 7 weeks, and 62 weeks. That is 69 weeks or 483 years.
The Atonement on the Cross was the physical means and physical point in time for the eradication of sin, and the end of transgression, and the other 4 points. Yet there was a gap for the fulness of the Gentiles to be included into the complete 490 years. It is not complete until this event:

Gabriel is the Archangel from Daniel 9. He brings the Trump of God at the 6th Seal and sounds it. Then after the 7th Seal is opened. The 6 angels sound. Gabriel is the final and most important sounding. There are also 7 Thunders between the 6 Trumpets and the final sounding.
Christ (Messiah as the Lamb) has now come in the 6th Seal as Prince with a throne. The throne is set up by Christ (Matthew 25:31). During the sounding of the 7th sounding, is when the week of desolation is allowed. God stops the celebration:
"he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate."
Revelation 13 is a tragedy, but Satan cannot do anything outside of the will of God concerning the earth, the vinyard. Satan is given 42 months until the 7 vials are poured out, and Armageddon ends all wickedness of Adam's flesh and blood.
Only then will the 7th Trumpet stop. The 70 weeks complete.
Daniel prophecied by word from Gabriel, both the fulness of the Gentiles: Messiah cut off, but not for Himself. And then again Satan's 42 months of desolation that God allows on the desolate. Those in the vineyard after the final harvest. They are controlled by the desolator, Satan.
I know the NT does not name Gabriel as the particular archangel. It did happen at the birth:
26 And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,
27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary.
Also to Zacharias:
19 And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God; and am sent to speak unto thee, and to shew thee these glad tidings.
Why would Gabriel not be the one at the Second Coming?

HI Ross. Don't know where you come up with all this ages of Israel and all and that the 490 years ended with Jesus birth in 4-6 B.C. It always is a mystery to me why people feel compelled to add to the simple teachings of Scripture!

Vse. 24 490 years have been decreed for Israel to end her transgression (it is singular not transgressions) finish sins and end iniquity. this follows the prophecies in Ez. 20:33-38 and Zech. 12:8-9 that Israel will finish her sin.
Verse 25&26: Even with all the funky changes due to different calendars. the first 483 years were accomplished on palm Sunday when Jesus presented HImself to Jerusalem as Messiah! After the 483 years (5 days) Jesus was cut off! Crucified!
Verse 26: the first prophecy of the Romans coming to destroy Jerusalem and the temple in 70 A.D.--They are the people of the prince to come (the antichrist)
It is the antichrist who confirms a covenant with Israel for 7 years. and as Jesus, Paul and John all prophecied, in the middle of that 7 years, He shall enter the holy of holies, declare himself God, end the sacrifices and declare genocide against Jews and Christians.
Remember in Biblical prophecy, close enough is not good enough.

The problem is people trying to force 490 years into over 500 years. They pick and choose history over the Word of God. It was 483 years way before Jesus was even born.

So you have a second and then a thrid coming for Jesus. WOW!
This is still future. We have not hasd the seals opened yet, nor have the first six trumpets sounded either.
Never said that Satan is the 2nd coming Messiah. Where you get that is reinterpreting my words like you reinterpret Scripture.
But Daniel 9 does not say Jesus is the Messiah prince that shall come in Verse 26. The prince is of the people that shall come and destroy the sanctuary! That is 2nd grade grammar for pity's sake!!!!!!! That makes him some sort of Roman ruler. Then in verse 27- the he by rule must refer back to its nearest antecedant personal noun that matches it in gender and number. That he cannot skip a noun to go to another noun unless clearly and explicitly delineated. So the "he" in verse 27 refers back to the Prince of the people that shall come and destroy the sanctuary.
If you fail to understand basic rules of grammar, no wonder why you accept such glaring allegorical reinterpretations of Scripture.

Well besides having a problem with grammar, you also show a lack of even researching history in this computer age where it is at our fingertips.
Nehemiah chapter 2 tells us which king issued the decree (artexerxes reigned 465-425 B.C.) The decree was issued c. 537 B.C. which puts 483 years right to the time of Messiah the prince and Him being cut off!
If you have the 483 years finish way before Jesus was born then you have a real problem with the bible!
