... There is a Satanic cult so evil, that God declares He will not even listen to prayers for them; ...

The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying . . .

“As for you, do not pray for this people, and do not lift up cry or prayer for them, and do not intercede with Me; for I do not hear you. Do you not see what they are doing . . . ? The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead dough to make cakes for the Queen of Heaven; and they pour out drink offerings to other gods in order to spite Me. Jeremiah 7:16-18

Here is another reference to, very likely, this same secret society of evil from Ezekiel's point of view, around the same time as Jeremiah's testimony. It is fair to assume that this cult has always been around, from the very beginning - possibly starting from Cain's lineage in the area he moved to after murdering his brother Abel.

"Then said He (God) unto me (Ezekiel), Son of man, lift up thine eyes now … behold … at the gate of the altar this image of jealousy in the entry. … seest thou what they do? … the great abominations … but turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations. … He brought me to the door of the court; and when I looked, behold a hole in the wall. Then said He unto me, Son of man, dig now in the wall: and when I had digged in the wall, behold a door. ...He said … go in, and behold the wicked abominations that they do here. ...I went in and saw; and behold every form of creeping things, abominable beasts (demonic man-animal hybrid abominations, etc.) and all the idols (demon-gods) of the house of Israel, portrayed upon the wall round about.

And there stood … seventy men of the ancients of the house of Israel, … with every man his censer in his hand (burning incense to demons); and a thick cloud of incense went up. … Son of man, hast thou seen what the ancients … do in the dark, …? ...they say the Lord seeth us not; the Lord hath forsaken the earth. Then He brought me to the door of the gate of the Lord's house, … there sat women weeping for Tammuz (a demon god). … He brought me into the inner court of the Lord's house and, behold, at the door of the temple of the Lord, … were about (25) men with their backs toward the temple of the Lord, their faces toward the east; and they worshipped the sun …" (Sunday worship?)

Ezekiel 8:5-16

While we must love our neighbours, it seems that it does not extend to those who hate God. ??

After quite a few years of studying the Bible, I have often wondered if the word neighbor was mistranslated a bit.
It would make more sense if the word used is actually referring to 'believers', not just any old person anywhere due to the many references in scripture against the children of belial (the devil), reprobates, etc. And, if you take into account the parable of the Wheat and the Tares - which Jesus presented as FACT, not some fictitious story to teach a lesson, it appears there are people who God did not generate and will not save.

The reason that God doesn't have me, as a Levite, hacking people to death is because of the atonement of Christ.
How do you know you are a Levite?

I have often wondered this about myself. Can't remember how I figured it, but I had come to the conclusion that I was likely a Levite at one time. No idea how you could know for sure though.

It’s a rather simple pursuit to determine Levitical heritage through DNA testing.

Steve Benner at University of Florida conducted extensive testing of Israeli lineage. I am going back 10 to 15 years. Due to the strict rules Levites had to follow regarding marriage, etal, Levites provided the purest DNA results, varying only 1.5% all the way back to Levi. I haven’t heard from Steve for a number of years now, so I assume he has retired.

Israel has vast DNA data for Israeli lineage and a couple contemplating marriage must provide DNA certification of their lineage before they can get married, under the ultra orthodox controlled system that controls such matters.

I really don't have the time to respond right now, but it all started with the Tower of Babel. Do an internet search for Nimrod, Semiramis, Tamuz. You will find more than you ever wanted to know about this cult of Queen of Heaven sun worshippers.

And as an aside, check out Jeremiah 10 about the first "Christmas" tree, which was decorated with silver balls to represent the sun. <grin>

I went to a 5-day retreat once. It was a place put together by God. Shock and awe describes it, in a nutshell. Make no mistake, God is holy! They used this passage to describe the unsanctified heart of the believer.

Whoa.

They used Ezekiel 8:5-16 to inform people that their faith is bunk?

God told me that I was a Levite. He later had me watch a documentary that connected the exile of 2 Kings 17 to my family tree.

Reckon that's the earliest origins of Sunday worship?

It was the custom of the early church from the beginning to meet on Sunday:

On the first day of the week, when we were gathered together to break bread, Paul began talking to them, intending to leave the next day, and he prolonged his message until midnight. Acts 20:7

That's kinda how it happened for me.

Guess I'll never get the opportunity to confirm it with DNA.
They are developing tests as we speak. I'm not sure that they don't already have one. Did you know that when the house of Israel (the ten tribes) were taken, it was only Jerusalem that the Assyrians didn't take?

Fascinating how that worked out.

The secret cult of satan had been worshipping the sun and named the 1st day of the week the venerable day of the sun, which became Sunday, all the way back to 600 BC, and likely even earlier than that. So the apostles scrupulously decided to stop worshipping on the day that God commanded and begin worshipping on the age-old day of the demon sun god Ra (Helios) to OVERTAKE the efforts of the enemy. To this very day, almost all churches still worship on the day of the sun to aggravate the enemy and take away his ground.

The Bible is the most amazing story.

I think that the reason they collected offerings on the first day of the week was to avoid unnecessary work on the sabbath. The Jews have different names for the days of the week.

I suspect that Jews went to synagogue any day of the week other than on the sabbath because of the limitations placed upon their activities on the sabbath. The sabbath day's journey [Acts 1:12] would limit return trip to synagogue to a place no further than 500 yards from their home.

So, on the topic of Darkly-Wicked acquaintances and relatives, we have touched on the topic of people in this world who are forsaken by God, or more accurately, created for destruction. Those who never had the slightest connection to, or chance with, God.

What do you think the chances are that the Wheat and Tares doctrine of Jesus is a legitimate, literal, concept in our world?

They are referred to as Children of belial, Children of the devil, reprobates, and then some.

There are plenty of verses to support such a concept.

Any thoughts?
