Well an admission the Brits may want to hear @Rita @Pearl @Mungo @Helen

When a tea bag has a black tea label on it, I use milk, I hope this is legal. :D

oh us too. :) All my life we drank our tea with milk …milk must go into the tea after the tea is poured , never before. ( so some Brits do… I’m old enough to remember the shock of tea bags arriving on the screen! @Pearl .
My parents never used them . When I moved to Canada in my 30’s we did then start using tea bags.

Parents may be horrified these days to know that when my kids were 9 months old we put a dash of tea into their milk bottle just to colour it and give it taste .
Most kids I knew , grew up on the good old British “cup of tea “ which we Brits know , always all the problems . :D

But, never never never add sugar to it! Yuck . LOL

I did that with my kids Helen xx
Yes, and the milk always goes in after the tea is poured. I do like proper tea, but must admit that the teabags meant you didn’t have to deal with the tea leaves. My brother buys loads of British tea bags when he comes over as he dislikes the German tea…..not sure how he has coped since covid as he hasn’t been over for two years now. Oh yes, my doctor once told me, many years ago when I was suffering with post natal depression,…….’ Sit down and have a cup of tea when you feel stressed ‘ !!!! ( I had a baby and an 18month old, severe depression, when did I have time to sit down, let alone make a cup of tea and enjoy it !! ) lol

I have to say, now that I am older and free of small children and babies, sitting down with a cuppa does help xx

I remember my father helping me with homework when I was 8 or 9 but given that he was 48 years older than me, in laters years it was best not to involve him.

I'm not quick with stuff but by observing things at my own pace I have found treasures, such as the pleasing pattern produced by multiples of 9.

Growing up, my dad lived in a city that had four high schools. At 15 yrs old, enrolled in each one, and within weeks was kicked out of each one. Math, History, Science, whatever the subject. Question asked, Correct Answer given. No figuring, No explaining. School psychologist said to his parents, there is something wrong with him, take him to a shrink. They did. Thereafter, they enrolled him in a different city high school for a few classes with a split of other classes were at University. He did well in that scenario. Before graduation, War broke out. He quit both and joined the Army/Airforce, and later got a GED.
As far as logic problems, (without math!), we had fun with that...And music.

Numbers, were/are my friends in the very basic sense...adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing...beyond that we don't get along. lol

Do you drink it out of a mug or cup and saucer Pearl ?
Earl Grey always sounds so posh to me ( I like the taste though ) just reminds me of posh afternoon tea with cucumber sandwiches with the crusts cut off !!!!!( oh and don’t forget to lift the little finger as you raise the cup and drink……Hyacinth bucket comes to mind !!!! Lol )

Coffee drinker, black, mild, no additive, too much fuss. Like it steaming hot, so drink from a cup, not a mug (cools too quickly).
Never developed the like for tea...fresh brewed, (special serving cups and additives too fussy), tea bags, bottled, or even the US "southern" sweet tea with a ton of sugar...
Blah.

Have grown and made chamomile tea... for medicinal purposes.... but didn't LIKE it.

Different peoples' Tea drinking habits, preferences has been interesting.

God Bless,

I mentioned this on my Dear Addy thread... I bought the most beautiful puzzle yesterday at Value Village...for 4.00 and got 30% off so CHEAPER.
It's a high quality puzzle... must have cost a pretty penny new... the puzzle had not been opened... the bag was sealed.
It's a Christmas puzzle and I will start it on December 1st... It will be the biggest puzzle I have done... 1500 pieces.

Good morning coffee (and tea) lovers!

7:10 am on the east coast here and the sky is looking all kinds of lovely!

Just enjoyed the first espresso of the day, listening to some soft jazz and waking up nice and slow today...

Puns always welcome, Addy, and of course historically the difficulty that a lot of tree stumps present when their removal is desired has led to the meaning you describe.

I can't even imagine the job you have to do.... where to cut... how to cut safely... what to cut and/or simply trim... I have watched this being done... and the neatest part is that there is no mess afterwards if one chooses to pay for the removal of the parts.... they have a wood-chipper that totally EATS all the evidence... LOL

Yes, we pay a higher levy of compulsory Accident Compensation Insurance because of the danger. No room for complacency. I am 90% retired now, as is my special name of "Walks-On-Trees".
