Hebrews 11:3 KJV
[3] Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
We’ve been in a new age for almost two millennia. Jesus spoke to the worl of that age, and it’s very clear the way he defined the world.
John 18:20 KJV
[20] Jesus answered him, I spake openly to the world; I ever taught in the synagogue, and in the temple, whither the Jews always resort; and in secret have I said nothing.

The Pharisees of His time also understood.

John 7:4 KJV
[4] For there is no man that doeth any thing in secret, and he himself seeketh to be known openly. If thou do these things, shew thyself to the world.

Understand?

Yes, I'm still married to my same partner....48 years now.

Dang. Congrats.

I have a Book I finally set to digital paper, 508 pages and counting, as a layman's version of the commentary of the Bible, with loads of side topical studies and what I call scripture mapping or harmonizing parts of scripture, as its contents. It's keeping me busy.

Cool.

Speaking of scripture and the future of things, I would like your opinion on one of Jesus' sayings from the Gospel of Thomas. I believe it relates to the future times.

I have the 'Scholars' version.

Saying 10: Jesus said, "I have cast fire upon the world, and look, I'm guarding it until it blazes."

I read your interpretation on Matthew 10, and I find it quite accurate and fascinating. Thank you for posting it. I will comment on GT v. 10

He means exactly what he said. He's burning the world. The end times started with Jesus. The end times finishes with a merging of the astral and physical realms. That's God's plan. It always has been, or at least since that whole flood debacle. It's the fruition of creation--the astral and physical synthesized into one. And so, your interpretation of Matt 10, in my opinion, is spot on. Jesus set the world alight and now he's burning it down.

People think it's been so long, and Jesus never returned. It's been nothing in the scheme of things. Civilizations, some very advanced (think Stonehenge, the Great Pyramids, Gobekli Tempe) have come and gone. Races of human-like peoples. Beings who knew things we don't know, like how to control gravity, or perhaps how to work faith. There may have been civilizations stretching back two million years. Who knows how long? But we are coming to the end. When the physical universe will merge with the astral realm.

If you and I are alive when this happens, and I don't know that we will be, it won't even be appropriate to talk about dying. When the merge comes, we won't die, but we won't really be physical anymore either. I think there are two places in the Gospels one must look to understand this, and they are in the Gospels for that reason: Jesus after his resurrection, and during the Transfiguration. And I believe he told this to Thomas in the Gospel of Thomas, verse 13. But now, I'm becoming tangential.

@Edward Gordon - why doncha start a thread here in non-christian section for yer END TIME VIEWS? Us regular krishchuns aint supposed to start threads here...

You're right. You can't. You have the whole forum that I can't go into. But, I think you have a good idea there. I'll talk to the Father about it. See what He says.

What is an astral plane?

The spiritual realm. The realm of mind that exists "above" Earth but below Heaven. When you dream, you are visiting the astral realm. Granted, it's not a pure presence there, because you still have physical input coming into your senses, so it's often jumbled. But it's the realm of mind as opposed to the physical realm. It came into being along with the physical universe, at the same moment, or if you go by Genesis, during the 6 days of creation.

Let me mediate on your words a little more and I will add to it later. I already see your view and it's a refreshing updated and modern take on the combined metaphysical and truly real event to occur when Christ our Lord returns. This is more of my thinking all along. This is the type of technical/more accurate language leaders of flocks should be acquainted with, regarding future events laced in scripture.

Already I read places to examine further, which I love to do if you knew me better. It is truly edifying to me Edward. Thank you for your input.:)

I always have wondered about how the woman thought Jesus was the gardener. It’s like, he looked human enough for her to think he was a man, but different enough that she didn’t recognize Him…?

No.

Commanding them to leave is hardly speaking with them.

I only command them to leave in the name of Lord Jesus as he did.

mmm…I spoke at him once. I had the thought in my head, Really now? And why would He listen to you when you can’t even stop murdering in your heart?

I didn’t stop to think about whether it was satan, I just seemed to know it was him, don’t ask me how. And I gave him what-for. Out loud too. Glad no one was around to hear me. And he never has done that again to me thank goodness because it made me a little queasy that he could hiss in my mind. Guess scripture hurts his ears, lol.

I read quite a bit of the thread. I wasn't quite sure how to respond. I'll just give it a go.

Welcome to CB, Edward! I believe the Word of God from beginning to end and believe things like astral projection is witchcraft also. I am glad to hear you gave up tarot cards, but astral projection and doctrines leaving out much of the Bible can lead a lot of people astray. The pentagram is definitely used as a satanic symbol also.

What do you believe it takes for a person to get into Heaven?

Hey, Amadeus - I forget what board(s) I usually see you at... or what my usernames would be there - howdy anyway.
Hello... whoever you are.

Only here on this forum for a long while now. Last regular forum was Talk Jesus. In the past 20 years, probably, I have been involved in at least a dozen forums.

Edward, sorry if my welcome sounded a bit cold... I really do come in peace if you don't want to "face the board."

Sometimes I'll read some different beliefs on CB and just go whaaaaaat!!!! There are many voices on CB and it can become a yelling match sometimes, but Holy Spirit does speak when people listen.
