Yes, you. Each person is responsible to God for themselves to discern what they hear and read is truth. Nobody tells you that what you hear or read is true. The Holy Spirit does. Just because more people will reject the Holy Spirit than listen to him doesn't mean what I'm saying is not true. There is no one place you can go, like in the days of the Apostles, where the whole truth exists in an organization of leaders. That ministry faded away and became corrupt and useless, probably by the 4th century.Who decides which men are honest in their teachings and which men are 'not listening'? YOU?
So now it's you, the original teachings of the Apostles (and the law and the prophets), and the voice of the Holy Spirit within the believer telling them whether or not what they hear is truth. For there are many voices telling you what is truth and what is not. Only YOU as responsible to God, with the tools God has provided, can see what really is true and what is not. No one can do that for you. If your heart is right and you really do love righteousness you'll see it. Just because lots and lots of people will not, for various reasons they are responsible for, doesn't make that not true.
