devotion is not worship

Lk 1:48 For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.

Scripture demands that call Mary blessed!

To do so would be to honor Mary!

To do so is to praise Mary!

To do so is to venerate Mary!

All Christians must say with the angels; “Hail Mary” ever blessed!

Brothers of Jesus Not the children of Mary!

Jose’s, Simon Salome are children of another Mary!

Mk 15:40 There were also women looking on afar off: among whom was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the less and of Joses, and Salome;

Acts 4:36 And Joses, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, being interpreted, The son of consolation,) a Levite, and of the country of Cyprus,

(Cannot be Mary’s child, Mary was of the tribe of Judah and the royal house of David the king!)
You can ignore definitions but devotion is worship.

so, a beautiful, Scripture-free missive on Mary worship and even praying to Mary (yikes), that you are more than welcome to, if thats the way you want to go

well for that we would have to have a convo on who mary even is/represents, as we are a long ways from any agreement there, i guess
The amazing name Mary: meaning and etymology
i mean, were you aware that the name mary occurs ezackly 40 times in the NT?
know what “40” reps?
anyway, although i dont agree with that guy in the link completely, it may serve as a good beginning overview; although we will be limited by your present belief that Mary actually existed as a person…and deserves the kind of veneration you seem to be so intent upon

but you might contemplate how the virgin will be with child would have been heard by a contemporary audience, if you will, and maybe allow the Scriptural “Mary” to take her rightful place; short answer, Athena worshippers were not “bad,” surely, that was just the best understanding that they had then, and was chosen (so to speak) to be the tree that would bear Christianity, loosely speaking

new only pray to God thru the intercession of the saints

Mary is the mother of God! Lk 1:43

the mother of our salvation Lk 2:30

A good tree!

Matthew 7:18
A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

The fruit of the tree of Mary is our salvation! Matt 1:21 Lk 2:30 Jesus is our salvation! This reflects the immaculate conception of Mary and the miraculous conception of Jesus!
Lk 1:30 Mary found our salvation!
Lk 1:38 consented to our salvation!

A good tree (immaculate conception) Lk 1:49 God has done this and it is marvelous in our eyes!

Isa 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Matt 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

A sinner would be an evil tree with evil fruit, but the fruit of Mary is salvation!

Mary brings in the good fruits of our redemption and salvation!

So Mary CANNOT be a sinner or a bad tree!

Tree of life!

The tree of life on the garden is a type of Mary!

Genesis 3:22
And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: (Jn 6:51)

Genesis 3:24
So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

Proverbs 3:18
She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her.

Proverbs 11:30
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.

Revelation 2:7
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

Revelation 22:14
Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city

A Good tree cannot bear bad fruit!
A biblical principle approved by Jesus even though He knew it would be used to defend His sinless mother!

Mary is the tree of life!

Sacred womb of Mary!

Isa 7:14 Theotokos the “God bearer”!

Sacred womb!
Blessed fruit of her womb!

Matt 1:16 And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.

Matt 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Lk 1:42 And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.

A sinner cannot have a sacred womb and be blessed and have a blessed fruit of her womb!

Only a good tree, a holy & immaculate tree can bear the good fruit who is God and our redemption and salvation!

Blessing from God thru Mary!

All graces come to us they Mary, from God by the merits (blood) of Christ!
Jn 1:16
Of His fullness we have all received, grace for grace!

Salvation Lk 1:30
Consented to our salvation Lk 1:38
Mother of Christ Matt 1:16
Mother of the word Jn 1:1
Mother of our savior Matt 1:21
Mother of our salvation Lk 2:30
Our mother Jn 19:26-27

Elizabeth filled with the Holy Spirit!

Lk 1:41 And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost:

John sanctified in the womb!

Lk 1:15 For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb.

Lk 1:44 For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy.

Zacharias is filled with the Holy Spirit and prophecy!

Lk 1:67 And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost, and prophesied, saying,

The wedding couple have wine and not shame!

Jn 2: 10 And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.

The disciples are supplied with faith, hope, and charity!

11 This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.

All these blessings from God because of Mary most holy!

Mary is not the tree of life. You have some false doctrine that seems to come up. The closest being to the tree of life is the Holy Spirit of God. The Holy Spirit heals and makes alive for the resurrection of Christ and the Father.

Jn 14:6 Jesus is the life!

the fruit of Mary!

mary is a sinner in need of a Savior like all mankind. End of discussion. She even confess He is her Savior. Luke 1:47: Luke 2:11

does not say sinner or Jesus would be sin!

mary is saved by her son but she is preserved from all sin we are both forgiven of past sin and preserved from future sin!

A good tree!

Biblical principle:

Matthew 7:18
A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

Proving Mary most holy, ever virgin mother of God & mother of our salvation is not a sinner!

Lk 1:28 Hail, Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou among women.

How can God fill a sinner with grace, and remain a sinner?
Hail Mary full of grace!

How can the Lord be with sinner?
The lord is with thee!

How can sinner be blessed!
Blessed art thou, and all generations shall call me blessed!

Lk 1: 43 And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?

How can a sinner be the mother of God?

Lk 1: 45 And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.

How could sinner be faithful?

Lk 1: 46 And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord,

How could a sinner magnify the Lord?

Lk 1:48 For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.

How could sinner be humble?

Lk 1:49 For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name.

How could sinner be the immaculate conception and the have the Holy Spirit accomplish the Miraculous conception of Jesus in Her?

Matt 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.

22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,

23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

How could sinner be a perpetual Virgin bringing forth the savior of the world?

Jn 19:27 Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.

How could sinner be our spiritual mother?

Lk 2:30 I have seen my salvation!

How could a sinner be the mother of our salvation?

Sorry, theefaith, but I believe what the Bible -- God's infallible Word -- says. That excludes unScriptural RCC propaganda. Why you believe that unScriptural nonsense is beyond me.

Mary was a young woman chosen to give birth to Jesus and, along with Joseph, raised Him and His siblings. Nothing more than that. When she and Jesus' brothers came to see him, what does the Bible say about His response? "While Jesus was still speaking to the crowds, his mother and brothers came and stood outside, asking to speak to him. Someone told him, “Look, your mother and your brothers are standing outside wanting to speak to you.” To the one who had said this, Jesus replied, “Who is my mother and who are my brothers?” And pointing toward his disciples he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers! For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.” Matthew 12:46-50

That is what the Bible, the pure Word of God, says in Jesus' own words!

: “The Church’s devotion to the Blessed Virgin is intrinsic to Christian worship.”

This the worship, the holy sacrifice of Christ is in honor of Mary but it is only God who is worshipped and adored!

Saying that “The Church’s devotion to the Blessed Virgin is intrinsic to Christian worship.” is unScriptural nonsense.

Saying that "the holy sacrifice of Christ is in honor of Mary" is blasphemy of the highest order! If not, show me where it says that in the Bible.

Read the above post to understand Jesus' relationship to Mary.

an example would be the feast or celebration of the annunciation of Mary! Lk 1:27-38 a day we celebrate every year!

“Hail Mary” words of an angel!

it is in Mary’s honor but only God is worshipped and adored!

Mary is honored! As scripture says
Give honor where honor is due!

Lk 1:43 mother of God!

In every single translation of Luke 1:43 listed in biblegateway.com, not one single rendition of Luke 1:43 has the words mother of God. Not a single one! They all say "mother of my Lord". Mary was not God's mother!! She was selected to give birth to Jesus and, along with Joseph, raise Him until He went on His own. Period.

Jn 14:6 Jesus is the life!
The fruit of Mary!
You still have some confusion going on there by the looks.
The fruit of Mary was death not wisdom (life) - you get that right?
Jesus is the Son of Man (through Mary) (John 3:14)

The Lord is God!

What else would you like to change in the Bible to fit your Catholic doctrine? Again, in every single translation of Luke 1:43 listed in biblegateway.com, not one single rendition of Luke 1:43 has the words mother of God. Not a single one!

Your claim that Mary was the mother of God directly contradicts the Bible.
