It's more of rebellion. People want to have an a la carte Scripture. Take what you like and leave the rest.

Yes I can see that reading that from several posters.
the problem might be that you both currently know a lot more than i do, although that might change in the future.

now, in reading that sentence, i may have given you both the impression that it is i who might change, when in fact i meant it was you who might change, which y’all are likely having trouble even making any sense of right now, yes?

Which this is just an example, dont get me wrong here ok, im trying to point out how things might be misread, and not trying to provide a comparo of our spiritual respective walks.

If there are no male and female in the kingdom, it follows that woman is referring to something other than the literal, at least possibly/probably, dont you think?

I don't think Paul spoke the Word of God when he said women can't speak in church buildings.

He did:

Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience… If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.” (1 Corinthians 14:34-37)

Not Paul, you.

You are not Paul nor a teacher of what Paul wrote, not with the Spirit that gave it to Paul anyway.

So, if a woman asks where the ladies room is, what do you do? Tell her to shut up while pointing the way? Or do you just put your finger to your lips at her like to a little child?

I'm wondering if you obey all Scripture according to the letter as you love to do here? Or are you just a Pharisee hypocrite that reads the letter only in some places for women, but gives a wide spiritual berth in others for yourself?

The letter only, without the Spirit, kills. We ought be ministering the letter with the Spirit.

So they read in the book in the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading.

You have no spiritual sense of the letters written, and so you have no common sense when trying to teach it.

I would not ever teach that the Lord tells women to shut up while assembling in His name, nor can they ever prophesy and minister to others.

Or is it just the holiness of a building that is not to be defiled by the speech of women? Or do you only acknowledge an assembling together, when it is in a building planned for that purpose? Are you so carnal, that you only assemble in His name in a building made for that purpose? You must be, sense you have no spiritual sense whatsoever of the letters you quote.

What if the assembling together is of women only? They just sit or stand and look at one another? Do they use hand signals? Should women only use hand signals in the assembling of the saints?

Testifying and witnessing of Christ to one another is the ministry of Christ: no woman therefore should ever testify of Christ in any assembling of the churches, whether in a building or not?

I know you don't recognize what an assembly of two or three in His name is, when not planned, but that is indeed the church and body of Christ speaking in His name. So, once a Christian woman realizing that an assembling of witnesses is occurring, they should immediately shut up?

A woman can never ever testify of Christ to any other person, lest she speaks in an assembly of believers?

I don't really care about your twisted attitude about women, like some carnal Jew of old and today. I just don't like reading stupid taught for doctrine of Christ by people with a twisted reading of the letters only without the Spirit.

No, I am not refuting Paul, but I certainly am disgusted at your pretense of teaching the law of Christ.

And no, I am not seeking to correct you, because no one can possibly believe what you are saying about Scripture, and be correctible.
Some people say that everything in the Bible is inspired by God. Paul said women can't speak when they are in a church. I don't think that was inspired by God. Women do a tremendous amount of work in churches. How can they not speak while doing this work?

Yes, he said that. I just don't think God told him to say that.

I don't think Paul spoke the Word of God when he said women can't speak in church buildings. I think the Word of God is those instances God and Jesus are quoted in the Bible.
So let me get this straight Bob. You think the headings in your English Bible are part of the Bible, but you don't think Paul's letters are because you disagree with them. Got it. Noted. You pick and choose what parts of the Bible you accept because you apparently know more than God. Got it.

This makes a lot of sense as bob often has talked about he dont sin everyday. Now he’s saying that paul, the second greatest theologian who ever lived, shouldnt be in the Bible.

John macarthur gave a sermon once about women in the church and paul’s writings.
He said “I do not like to give short answers. I don't like to get put in a position to do that, because I feel like that just escalates confusion, so I want to take the opportunity to address the issue of women preachers this morning and to give you a more thorough answer from the Word of God on this very, very important subject."

He went on to say that there is "no lack of clarity" in the Bible when it comes to the role of women in the church, citing 1 Corinthians 14:35, in which Paul says that "it is improper for women to speak in church meetings.

Explaining his own views on the issue, MacArthur said: "Women are to maintain submission to men in all churches in all times.

"Women pastors and women preachers are the most obvious evidence of churches rebelling against the Bible ...

"Women who pastor and women who preach in the church are a disgrace and openly reflect opposition to the clear command of the Word of God. This is flagrant disobedience."

He then quoted 1 Corinthians 14:34, which reads, "Women should remain silent in the churches," and said that this should not be "hard to understand."

"You don't say anything," he said.”

His full response can be read here

Women pastors 'are a disgrace', says John MacArthur

Do you consider everyone who disagrees with you to be a heretic?

You call me a heretic because I think it's wrong that Paul told women they can't speak while they are working in churches?

wrong…. Paul was wrong. You think that pauls words, in the Bible, are wrong? As in, we shouldnt listen to what paul said?
I've learned a lot from Paul, but I think he was wrong to tell women they can't speak while they are working in churches.

absolutely!!! Every single word in the Bible is complete truth. RC Sproul once said that if you disagree with something in the Bible, the problem isnt with the Bible, its with you.
You have repeatedly said heretical things, this isnt the first. The mere thought that something in the Bible could be wrong, is unfathomable to me. Yet not only do you believe paul was wrong, you double down on it. Who else said something wrong? Who else do you disagree with in the Bible??
