@Rita

Yes; as testimony tools and conversation-starters tattoos do work, as you have well proved.

I think a while ago you had decided not to get any more inking done; so maybe you more recently changed your mind, in order to have it done with your friend also; so for her will it maybe her first time having a tattoo done?
No, she has loads xx
She has been going through a really difficult time over the past three years, and we are not able to spend as much time with each other as we use to. Sometimes she cannot face talking over the phone, neither do I at times, so it’s more a reminder that we are there for one another even if we cannot speak to each other.
She is eleven years Younger than me, we became friends when I had my fourth child and she had her first. Her dad use to be the minister at the church I attended. That was 29 years ago , we lived just round the corner from one another until I returned back to Brighton to support my parents. We are more like sisters x

I love it.

My son passed 8 yrs ago this Nov. and I just got my two children's names done with the cross and fish emblem by their names.

This is what the Lord lent to me after I became saved. We do not always appreciate what we have until it is no more.

Ppl whom pass judgment only make themselves look ignorant. Personally I live for HIM, not them !
Oh so very sorry about your son xxxxxx

@Rita Sounds like you and your friend have a really good, longstanding friendship and constructive relationship; and seems like you both together are understanding and opting for a tattoo parlor appointment as a way of expressing things that you really deeply experience and feel (thus far, she even more so than you, perhaps).

I'm putting mine low on my arm to be visible when I reach. Even if NO comment is made from one who sees it, I'll let the world know Jesus's suffering was real and purchased ALL who will for his glory. The golden crown to represent the God of all creation, and the dove for the sweet Holy Spirit who us our teacher and comforter.

@L3astAm0ngManyB13ss3d Seems like @Abigail had similar strategic thinking to yours as regards the placement of witness tattoos:

The wrist tattoo is a matter of strategic planning. I'm right handed. When I encounter people and I have to reach out, like pay for something, hand something to them, they see that tattoo. It's also in the black and gray scale but the ink drops are red. The phrase is black and gray too . So the red stands out most of all.
I've had cashiers reach to take the money in that hand and pause as they hold the bills. I know they're reading and studying the art so I stand there patiently for as long as they need.

Thank you for all your research on my behalf.
@L3astAm0ngManyB13ss3d Glad you are benefiting from the various suggestions. Part of the satisfaction of inking - you've discovered inking later rather than sooner; slowly but surely - is all the careful planning and reflection, so that when your artist finally starts putting the ink through the dermis it will be exactly what you have been wanting. While faith based tattoo designs are not actually essential as such, yet so many Christians do find them highly compelling, for all the thought and determined preparation that goes into them before the dermis injecting finally begins.

Why not. @65, I figure I'll do what I want as long as God doesn't disapprove.
Others thoughts mean zero to me.

God has a huge tattoo.
Is.49:16
Behold,I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; .....................
I figure I will do what I want just about sums you up. I never do what I want. I only do what God wants. As for God has a huge tattoo gime a break!

You are an antagonist.
I follow God's will for my life closely by studying prayerfully under the teacher the Holy Ghost.

Apparently you just open your mouth and let the judgments roll. YOU know nothing about me nor the trials that have shaped me. My trust is all in Him.

Deny God's word ALL you like,YOU will be the one that has to answer for it. I'm not some lilylipped milk maiden but I'll stand nose to nose with the likes of ppl like you.

I know my Lord and he knows me,nothing have I hidden from him. I listen, follow and trust that if I'm NOT to do a thing he will give me instruction.

You too are now on ignore get the first part of the word ignore _ _ _, stands for lack of. Self righteous Pharisee.
Bye

@L3astAm0ngManyB13ss3d I think it's clear that as regards the theme of your thread here, in your case by the time the inking was flowing in the tattoos you obtained so far, there would have been a whole amount of life experience, planning and strong appreciation behind the ink.

I just find the word "need" to be quite funny for a tattoo. No one needs one. They just want one.
@Mantis Strictly speaking, being a tattoo artist is about facilitating a service preferred rather than strictly required, right?

Ppl's preferences develop. (As you will have found......)

I am going to get another one on the underside of my left wrist in the next year.
Hi @Rita Back a bit I recall you said when you had it done previously:

..shortly after getting my tattoo done .. the dentist ask me about it - it opened up a conversation that would not have come about at all..The conversation surprised me, and it did serve as an encouragment at the time. I have had quite a few conversations at work when people notice it.

So perhaps you'll be able to look forward to some more likely encouraging testimony conversations after you've had it done again.

Here's a similar one from thePilgrim church...

@Angelina I like the caption also as well as the picture.....

Kind of, shows that the Resurrection is definitely pivotal in a doctrinal understanding of the faith.

One can see also how a design of this nature - as well as in an avatar, etc. - would make for a thought-provoking basis for inking that will prove to be the reason for questioners to speak to the wearer, right?

That's something the Lord did. But where are we told to mark our bodies? I think that's the question many have.
@TLHKAJ At least subjectively relevant, all the young ppl with whom I have spoken with Bible verses tattooed have seemingly done them for witness tool reasons.

(This, at least, as an explanation from custom.....)
