Lol. I don’t think there’s a single thread you could post anywhere in here about what you believe that you wouldn’t wouldn’t get into a debate.

You are right lol, just trying to remain humble, to be lowly because as of lately have been quite quick and dismissive, and having listening to this video by my teacher, he is talking a lot about pride. So whether or not someone believes Jesus has come or is still coming. That is fine, just gotta try to be kind and tell them perhaps they are right and I am wrong, because at the end of the day it always boils down to having love for God and love for others (and knowledge puffs up and fights tend to break out).

If the rule was you could only post if you agreed with the op, it sure would cut down on the number of posts though! :D
But then again, it wouldn’t help you to examine what you believe very critically with scripture. It would just help to cement you in place and to not see more and more in the word.

It is all fine, are you feeling better now?

Jack, with what Jesus is saying here what are some of the thoughts that come to your mind as you read it. I am not sure what damnation, or condemnation means in the greek or anything could look it up. Please feel free to share if you would like to , you got the nail on the head though, this what Jesus said makes resurrection available for all people, it sounds like to me at least, sir.

Oh…I remember being there! :( I got stuck there for a long, long time. I was in a never ending cycle of trying really hard to overcome it, then depression when I failed, then try again, fail again, on and on. It wasn’t a very happy place for me. It was full of bitter frustration at why I couldn’t control myself.

It just occurred to me someone you might like, Mathew. Yeah, I think you’d like listening to him. He is noted for his teaching on hell, eternal torment, annihilation. Check him out on YouTube if you get a chance. He helped me a lot re:”eternal torment.” You would probably agree with some of it too.

Do you mind if I ask you what denomination you are from @Earburner
Since I was born again in 1975, I have attended several different Protestant denominational churches in the length of my life. Primarily Baptist and Methodist churches.
I hold to the Amillennial view concerning endtimes.
I follow the Binitarian concept, that God the Father and God the Son together, are the Holy Spirit together, and that there is no other separate being that is the Holy Spirit. God the Father and God the Son together are One.

@Philologos, can I ask a question? Are you midtrib in your end times view?

LOL, I never seem to fit into any categories. My primary view is that there will be many brothers and sisters believing they will be removed from the earth before anything bad happens. I am here to encourage them not to lose faith when the time comes when they realize that idea was not conceived in Scripture. Not here to change any mindset or prove a point, just to plant a seed that will grow when it's needed.

okay, thanks for answering. So your belief is that only those who are martyred are in the first resurrection? Would that include only martyrs from the tribulation or would it include those martyred prior to tribulation too?

You are the first person I've encountered who shares my Binitarian understanding of our Creator. Interestingly, I grew up JW, became agnostic\atheist, then born again and was taught the Trinity. While studying the trinity doctrine, I found the image of God is One Spirit comprised of father and son. I tell you from experience, never even start a conversation with a Southern Baptist that might sound like you think something "other" than the trinity, LOL. ...especially if you're married to that person...........

There’s a few of us here. I couldn’t accept a trinity because I can’t see the Holy Spirit as a different Spirit than God, who is Spirit. I can’t see it.

There are many people who are always going to be against you no matter where you go, so the best thing to do is love people who may differ with you and just keep walking, and not try to seek revenge or to get them back. Pride can get you in a lot of trouble and the LORD (the Living God), hates when people are prideful in a sense that they are better than other people. I use to be that person, and sometimes my flesh still rises up but not as much as it did when God was not there in my life at all.

That is all I can share personally is that God is there with those who believe on Him, and that the Holy Spirit is given to those who believe on the Son of God, and as believers we can ask God to help us by the Holy Spirit to bear with the problems that we have, and to be helped by the Holy Spirit.

Luke 11:13 So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him.

Jesus said if you sinful people, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him.

So it is our responsibility to ask God to help us, with the holy spirit and Jesus says right there he will give the Holy Spirit, and what does the Holy Spirit cause? Love, peace, gentleness, forbearance, long-suffering, kind, merciful, self-control, all things we can ask the Father in heaven to help us with.

Ok we have a God with multiple personalities. Devine Schizophrenia lol? I have been taught trinity but have an open mind. Do you have any scriptures that point to the Father and Son combined as the Holy Spirit?

I believe that anyone who will or ever has stood up in the face of death and still proclaimed the Word of God and died as a result of their testimony is a candidate for this honor.

Im start to distrust you highly for the way they you are using scriptures to benefit you yourself, as though you may speak for God himself? It’s really weird sir.
Maybe this will help you to better understand how some do access the Mind of Christ within them, better than others. The literal mind of Christ within us, is an absolute fact, that is available to all "born again Christians". It goes hand in hand with Proverbs 3:5, Proverbs 18:24, John 14:17, John 16:13, Luke 17:21.
Unfortunately, very few recognize Him, and spend most of their Christian life in their own natural mind.

Put your understanding and prayer around the following, and you will see what I mean:
1 Corinthians 2[9] But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
[10] BUT God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

[11] For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
[12] Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
[13] Which things also we speak
, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but [that] which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
[14] But the natural man [our natural mind] receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
[15] But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
[16] For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

I guess we’re not miles apart on it. I believe the first resurrection will include all who have died in the Lord and entered His rest and need no further testing/sifting of their trust. That includes martyrs and saints/holy.

I can take a stab at that. Scripture tells us God is Spirit. I think God is Spirit, the Holy Spirit. I don’t see God as one Spirit and the Holy Spirit as a different Spirit. And since the Father and Son are One, and share the same Spirit, I can only peer and see two. Not that I think like others that it’s world war 4 over the matter. I worry if someone doesn’t see Jesus is God in human form, but I don’t worry other than that.

It's more like it that we are the true schizophrenic. We have our natural mind and we also have the Mind of Christ.

Hi Philologos, I just realized that you are a new member here. Welcome to the group!:)
You will find that the Christians here are very caring, biblically knowledgeable, and are willing to discuss many biblical topics with an open mind. I trust that you will find God's blessings here in many ways.

I think John 14:23 defines it perfectly. (1+1=2 as one together)
John.14[23] Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
