Here is another one. Note: hebtomads is an old fashioned word for 'weeks.'

TERTULLIAN (160-225 AD)

"In the Psalms it is prophesied, "They exterminated my hands and feet." And the suffering of this "extermination" was perfected within the times of the lxx hebdomads, under Tiberius Caesar." (An Answer to the Jews: Chapter 8 - Of the times of Christ's birth and Passion, and of Jerusalem's destruction.)

Provide all the quotes you want, Daniel 9:24 states (Seventy Weekks) not (Four Hundred Ninety Years) its that simple

And another one for you 7t7 and a heads up for all futurists. Early Christian historian Africanus.

JULIUS AFRICANUS (160-240AD)

"That the passage (Daniel 9) speaks then of the advent of Christ, who was to manifest Himself after seventy weeks, is evident. For in the Saviour’s time, or from Him, are transgressions abrogated, and sins brought to an end. And through remission, moreover, are iniquities, along with offences, blotted out by expiation; and an everlasting righteousness is preached, different from that which is by the law, and visions and prophecies (are) until John, and the Most Holy is anointed. For before the advent of the Saviour these things were not yet, and were therefore only looked for. And the beginning of the numbers, that is, of the seventy weeks which make up 490 years."
(Extant Fragments of the Five Books - On the Seventy Weeks of Daniel.)

Yes Africanus was a student of Origen the heretic previously mentioned, in the Alexandrian philosophical schools

Wikipedia: Sextus Julius Africanus

Whether Africanus was a layman or a cleric remains controversial. Louis-Sébastien Le Nain de Tillemont argued from Africanus's addressing the priest Origen as "dear brother" that Julius must have been a priest himself[5] but Gelzer points out that such an argument is inconclusive.[6]

Justin Martyr, Iranaeus, were Orthodox in the faith for the most part, but I don't consider any church father as above reproach in their theology /eschatology IMHO

Tertullian was also a product of the Alexandrian philosophical schools in Egypt, contemporary to Clement of Alexandria who ran the school and personally taught Origen the heretic

Tertullian never received saint status by the east-west churches because of his deviant teachings and beliefs

I know the answer, but I don't play guessing games, I'm the teacher and your the student, hide and seek
If you know the answer to something, you don't have to guess at it.

Would you like to know the answer?

All the ECF's were no better than any of the so called Prophecy experts of today, in their eschatology.
We are told why this is by Jesus: Father; I thank You for hiding these things, [Bible Prophecy] from the wise and learned and revealing it to the uneducated. Matthew 11:25-26 The wisdom of the wise shall vanish ..... 1 Corinthians 3:18-20, +

The 'wise and educated people then and today have much to help us with issues like Salvation and how we should live, but it is a mistake to even consider their views on what God has planned for our future.
Plainly demonstrated by the proliferation of ideas, doctrines and straight out lies, that are taught today.

Where is "saint status" in Scripture?
the LORD Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church

Christ's Church is His Bride/Body

Names given to denote the Body/Bride of Christ:

a.) His disciple(s) - Matt 24:3-4 , Matt 28:18-20
b.) Elect - Matt 24:31 , 1 Peter 1:2 , Titus 1:1 , and many more
c.) Chosen - John 15:16 , Ephesians 1:11-12 , 1 Peter 2:4
d.) Living Stones - 1 Peter 2:5
e.) Saints - Ephesians 1:1 , 1 Cor 1:2 , Daniel 7:27 , Revelation 11:18 and 14:12

That's not this saint status.

Which is what was being referred to in post 186.

I doubt that a persons 'heretic' or 'saint' status had anything to do with what we are talking about. My point here is that that the early church believed the seventy weeks to be hebtomads of years - not seven day weeks as you teach.

I'll get another example for you.

ATHENASIUS OF ALEXANDRIA (296-373 AD)

Daniel foretells the exact time ... saying: "Seventy weeks are cut short upon thy people, and upon the holy city, for a full end to be made of sin, and for sins to be sealed up, and to blot out iniquities, and to make atonement for iniquities, and to bring everlasting righteousness, and to seal vision and prophet, and to anoint a Holy of Holies; and thou shalt know and understand from the going forth of the word to restore and to build Jerusalem unto Christ the Prince". Perhaps with regard to the other (prophecies) they may be able even to find excuses and to put off what is written to a future time. But what can they say to this, or can they face it at all?
(On the Incarnation of the Word, Sec. 39.)

Can they face it at all? Athenasius seems to be speaking directly to you truth7t7.

You have quoted like five references All from the heresy producing philosophical schools of Alexandria Egypt, there's a reason why their library was burnt to the ground, smiles!
