Jesus was speaking to His own when He said broad is the way that leads to destruction and few there be that find the narrow path that leads to life. Where the OT says though the number of the Israelites be as the sands of the sea only a remnant will be saved......I believe goes for the church as well, since Israel is our example, and Jesus Himself said many will say to me on the day of judgment, "Lord, Lord, didn't we do thus and such for you." And He will say to them away from me you who work iniquity. Judgment begins with His house. It began with Israel, then it began for the church according to Israel's example/pattern...it begins even now with the chastisements we undergo as God's children....if we judge ourselves now and endure His chastisements now until the end, we will not be judged with the world. If we suffer with Him we will also reign with Him....the way of the Cross is the narrow way that leads to resurrection life through death.Jesus said the way is narrow, and the path strait? Only be few there that find it, there are probably more people out there in need of the Lord than we can think, though America has 'in God we trust' on money, many people have an idea of God, maybe like a grandpa or something, but not really trust in God, or seek him.
But what does these things you say mean to you? Cause I dont know what you may believe anyway.
Love to you Lizbeth,

Mystery Babylon refers to apostate Israel and her apostate priesthood - in bed with the world. And God's wrath was meted out by the beast that she was riding turning on her. This is an example that I believe we are to understand will happen to the apostate church as well. The world will eventually turn on the church that is in bed with the world and its false doctrines and that makes no difference between the holy and the profane/common (for example, by thinking politics is a holy war).
