Hey Rlt63,

At my moms house she got this row boat exerciser,

And she also gave me a workout hand book dealing with just working out with body weight and also with some weights journal book,

My mucles are sore from yesterday and also this morning i cant do a lot because just starting out but it does help make one feel better and release dopamine in your brain.View attachment 35447
That looks like a high quality rowing machine .Rowing is a great workout. I did a lot of rowing when I was doing CrossFit.

It wasnt hard to start its just hard to make sure you dont over do it.

It seems you gitta be careful yiu can hurt yourself my muscles hurt and its just from body weight.

Found a good neck exercise diagram for those who may have some weak necks.

You should expect some soreness. That means you have thoroughly worked your muscles. But you shouldn’t be in pain.

The books The War of Art, Turning Pro and Do The Work are great for motivation. The War of Art gets into some areas a Christian might object to but the part about Resistance is great
Do The Work is the most practical one if you’re trying to get in shape, start a business or reach any goal.

Great job, bet you feel a whole lot better now with all that weight dropped off, it does take some discipline and you most certainly gotta do the work, RLT, thank you also for your encouragement. Muscles can be sore but shouldn't be in pain.

My right shoulder has a sharp pain in the front and I’m having to work around it

Ibuprofen works best for muscle soreness. You can also use creams, roll ons or sprays like Icy Hot and Tydl spray. I will try to find a link

Well I started my diet today. I did really well; I had a crouton and a tomato. Oh and some cheese too. Well actually it was a big crouton. Ok, it was pizza, my bad.

I’m doing Weight Watchers this time. I’ve got the app on my phone. Only problem is sometimes all my points are gone by lunch.
I can usually find a Healthy Choice meal that is only 1 point though and have that for dinner.
I always did low carbs in the past. It worked but then I always gained the weight back.
WW is more sustainable. I’m down 50 pounds now.

WW is the best. I've done the Atkins, which is the original low carb, but you lose a max then stop. Usually 20 lbs. WW is best because you can memorize points and apply them almost anywhere. Of course the common sense is the default salad with balsamic dressing.
