Your denial of Baptism and its importance is your teaching.

You forget, Jesus was Baptized.
Luke 3

John 3:22 After these things came Jesus and his disciples into the land of Judaea; and there he tarried with them, and baptized.

John 3:23 And John also was baptizing in Aenon near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized.

John 3:24 For John was not yet cast into prison.

John 3:25 Then there arose a question between some of John’s disciples and the Jews about purifying.

John 3:26 And they came unto John, and said unto him, Rabbi, he that was with thee beyond Jordan, to whom thou barest witness, behold, the same baptizeth, and all men come to him.

“teaching them whatsoever I have commanded” (Matthew 28:20).
Baptism is a public profession of ones faith in Christ. It does not save, nor does it justify. We identify with Jesus in water baptism. Going down into the water represents his death. Coming up out of the water represents his resurrection.

Christians are not under the law or the commandments. To be under the law is to be under a curse, Galatians 3:10. Worse yet, it works God's wrath, Romans 4:15. Baptism is a work, we are not saved or justified by works, Romans 3:20.

Believing in Jesus is the only thing that is going to save you, John 3:16. Under the New Covenant the law and the commandments have been abolished, Ephesians 2:15. Jesus nailed the law to his cross, Colossians 2:14. This is why the just shall live by faith, Romans 1:17.
And those that are living by faith are all just people?

I have family that lives by faith. By their lifestyles you would wonder.

YOU and Paul say "Under the New Covenant the law and the commandments have been abolished,

But before hand Jesus said otherwise....

NASB 1995
“Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill.

Furthered by

  • “For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled” (Matthew 5:18). (FYI... NOT ALL HAS BEEN FULFILLED unless you are a preterist.)
  • “Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven” (verse 19). ( Nothing, NOTHING, about born-again faith and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit that will somehow stop you fro breaking any commandment)

The law still stands... The commandments are in the NT.

So bring on your next talking point.

THEN YOU explain why Jesus was Baptised? Not only baptised but circumsized......

WHY?

All that Jesus was, and all that Jesus did was for our justification and our salvation.

Jesus was the end and the fulfillment of the law, Romans 10:4. This is why we are no longer under the law or subject to it, Romans 7:6. If the Son has made you free, you shall be free indeed.

All that Jesus was and all that Jesus did was for our justification and our salvation. Jesus was our substitute and our representative. We are accepted only in him and because of him. We are saved by the doing and the dying of Jesus. Jesus saves and he saves to the uttermost, Hebrews 7:25.

You are following your own Eisegesis. Which is not the Gospel, nor Salvation.

No one has said Baptism saves. Denying Baptism is part of our faith is not of our faith.

As far as our salvation goes all has been fulfilled. The law has been fulfilled and abolished, Ephesians 2:15. All sin has been atoned for, 1 John 2:2. We are complete in him, Colossians 2:10. There is nothing left to do to save us. Jesus saves and he saves to the uttermost, Hebrews 7:25.

Under the New Covenant God's people no longer live by laws, rules or religion. Paul said, "The just shall live by faith" Romans 1:17 They live by faith in Christ and his Gospel. Living by laws, rules and religion is a denial of the Gospel and is under the judgment of God. Religion and law keeping is an indication of the absence of faith.

Order of Salvation...

The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. - Romans 10:8-10

1. Confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus Christ
2. Believe in your heart that he is risen from the dead

How easy is that!

Who of unregenerate mankind will confess with the mouth from the heart unless they first believe?

The word that is near, even in thy mouth and heart is the Word of faith; the Gospel preached. Faith (ability to believe) comes through hearing the Word! When we hear and believe according to grace through faith, then we will confess and in repentance turn to Christ.

Romans 10:8-10 (KJV) But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

If the Word (Gospel) is not in your heart and mind, how would unregenerate mankind know they need a Saviour? You see how Paul says man must believe from the heart before confession with the mouth unto salvation.
