| Pr 21:2 | Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts. |
That is the man of flesh who in his own eyes is always right. How does one become more like the LORD and ponder the hearts? How do we ever, if we do, come to the place where we would always be right?
Humility is a starting point. In my prayers, daily, I seek the lowest room and strive to allow God alone to lift me up from there...
| Lu 14:10 | But when thou art bidden, go and sit down in the lowest room; that when he that bade thee cometh, he may say unto thee, Friend, go up higher: then shalt thou have worship in the presence of them that sit at meat with thee. |
| Lu 14:11 | For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted. |
When was it that Jesus chose to remain silent? How was it that the high priest provoked Jesus to open his mouth?
| Mt 26:62 | And the high priest arose, and said unto him, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee? |
| Mt 26:63 | But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God. |
| Mt 26:64 | Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven. |
We should be, I believe, continue to seek God's kingdom and His righteousness. Talking to God daily, hopefully moving toward that " pray without ceasing" place as well as reading/studying the written scriptures are good things.
Hopefully every believer will have an answer wherever one is needed, but for different reasons sometimes a person may not have an answer. Possibly they are babes in the Lord and simply do not yet understand; or perhaps they have been led astray in their walk and now realizing it are without a clear answer.
Only God has all of the answers all of the time. If we are following Him carefully as we are led by the Holy Spirit, He will have the answers we need when we really need them. But.. let us be certain that He is leading and that our tongue is under His control.
