In john 6, he said do it now PRESENT TENSE, and you will recieve EVERYTHING I said you will recieve.

But you have to listen to what your church tells you. So you will not see the huge difference in the two events, and what each one represents. So you will always think it speaks of the same thing..

I hope people remember, I opened this thread to show that John 6 is not so hard to understand that we do not need to have teachers explain it to us. That we can understand ourselves. If we just listen

that like we can see the difference between those who say 2 + 2 = 4 and those that say 2 + 2 = 5 and determine by what they say who is telling the truth and who is not.

God did not leave us with a word that returned void.. He did give us teachers. But he also gave us the word to test each teacher. To make sure, they, who are fleshy sinners like we are, do not teach us something that is wrong.. and lead us astry

The Passover was for Israel and their remembrance of them being freed from Egypt.
The Last Supper is for ISRAEL and their remembrance of being set free from spiritual sin.

Now guess what happened?
Gentiles got invited to the supper so that ALL who were called could remember that WE ALL been set free from sin and not Israel only.

That is the meaning of the Last Supper.
It was the Last Passover to kept with animal sacrifices... ever.
And we are now the living sacrifices who have lain down our old lives picked up our new lives and follow Him, the Great Shepherd.
