That is what we in the US call toast ...at least it looks like toast. :)
I does look like toast but toast is grilled - or in a toaster which I don't have - and fried bread is just that, shallow fried in a frying pan.

Well, we need to understand what is involved with food that can do damage..
'Consuming as few as two servings of red meat weekly could elevate the risk of type 2 diabetes in comparison to those who consume less, a recent study from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health reveals. The study further indicates that this risk escalates with increased meat intake. However, substituting red meat with wholesome plant-based proteins like nuts and legumes or moderate portions of dairy can help lower the chances of developing the condition.

The study was recently published in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition

“Our findings strongly support dietary guidelines that recommend limiting the consumption of red meat, and this applies to both processed and unprocessed red meat,” said first author Xiao Gu, a postdoctoral research fellow in the Department of Nutrition.

While previous studies have found a link between red meat consumption and type 2 diabetes risk, this study, which analyzed a large number of type 2 diabetes cases among participants being followed for an extended period of years, adds a greater level of certainty about the association.'

It's absurd to think the diet that has been recommended by the government and medical world for decades now is the answer. They want us to eat crickets, y'all ....while they sit at their banquet tables full of meat ...and commanding that we abstain from meats which scripturally is a doctrine of demons coming in the last days. The diet that they have pushed has done nothing but damage to diabetics while making them sicker and more dependent on drugs (and lining their pockets).

There are 3 macros .... carbs, proteins, and fats. Carbs spike insulin levels dramatically, while protein only causes a slow, small bump in insulin levels ....and fats don't cause any elevation at all in insulin levels. (I'm referring to healthy fats like animal fats and avocado, as well as coconut oil, olive oil, etc.)

The brain functions beet on ketones. And we need cholesterol for hormone production and balance.

This is not a debate thread, @Hobie. You have your own thread where you are pushing vegetarianism. This is not the place for that.

I have known vegetarians who ended up with major health issues, including loss of muscle/strength, inflammation, diabetes, hormone imbalance, etc. Two of my daughters were vegetarians for awhile and it brought their health down. They are no longer vegetarian.

This is not a debate thread. We live by every word of scripture, not just select verses in Genesis to make a doctrine of. God gave us meat to eat and Jesus also ate meat. Don't do loke the satanjc elites who are commanding people to abstain from eating meat.

I think I understand your frustration here. Forgive me if I assume too much. But your OP is fairly contentious and the thread title leaves the impression that discussion about treatment of chronic degenerative disease with diet of any kind is fair play.

With that in mind, the word βρωμάτων (brōmatōn) in 1 Timothy 4:3 means food of any kind—not just flesh food.

Also, vastly large segments of the global population maintain good health with little or no access to flesh food.

Do Not Worry

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?

I take this verse literally and I don't worry about what I eat.

My OP explains the intention of the thread, as I mentioned that there is an effort to demonize the eating of meats, and scripture says that one of the last days doctrines of demons is commanding to abstain from meats which God has created for us to receive with thanksgiving. There is no confusion if one actually READS the OP.

And I know many people, including family members whose health suffered while being vegetarians. Hormones need cholesterol to stay in balance. There have been women who lost their menstruation for years while on a vegetarian diet. Then, within a few months of going carnivore, they conceived and had children.

I explained the intention of this thread to Hobie many times, and he insisted on BEING CONTENTIOUS himself. There is the problem. I have asked him politely to take his forbidding to eat meat to his own thread.

I have always taken this verse to mean that God will always take care of us and give us sustenance. We have the means to get food for the body because He provides the means. But we choose what to put into the body. If we chose sugary carbs 24/7, we will pay for it with our health. See what I'm saying?

I have noticed more muscle endurance and strength since changing my diet to be mostly carnivore. And that js without exercise. I try doing more physical exercise, but due to so many trauma injuries, it causes severe flare-ups that make me nearly immobile for days or weeks. This diet gives my body what it needs in the quickest way possible to bring healing to my body. Inflammation is down, reflux went away very quickly ...as well as other digestive issues. Mental clarity is improving. My nerves are much calmer ...I can literally feel my brain settle down when I eat fatty meat. It's amazing. :)

I do eat some meat but just a bit now and then. It's not a planned thing it's just that I can't afford much meat as the prices are so high.

Yes, I hear you, sister. That's the same reason I didn't eat much meat for several years. But now, my grocery bill is actually less than it was when I was buying all the fruits, veggies, keto baking ingredients, etc. And my food isn't spoiling in the fridge before I can eat it all. My shopping takes maybe half an hour between 2 stores and I spend about $80-100/week on really good meats, eggs, butter, etc.

Rachel overcame multiple "incurable" chronic illnesses with a carnivore diet. She was severely underweight and close to needing a feeding tube.

*Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome
*Craniocervical Instability
*Dysautonomia
*Chari Malformation
*Chronic Lyme Disease
*Adrenal Insufficiency
*Non-epileptic seizures
*Gastroparesis
(to name a few)

Berberine is as effective for lowering blood sugar as metformin. It is effective against neuropathy. And since it helps manage blood glucose, it is also effective for weight loss. It is also anti-cancer.

I had my mother (who was diabetic and experiencing early kidney failure) on a keto diet, taking berberine and cinnamon to lower her blood sugar. She was beginning to see her creatinine levels noticeably improve and her blood sugar levels were much better. (Then she got covid and they killed her with meds in the hospital.)

Seven foods that make you live longer:
Cacao, or dark chocolate (or a keto chocolate with zero sugar)

Contains PQQ which increases the number of mitochondria and is involved in the continuous recharging and discharging of electrons in the mitochondria. Very important in the brain and cognitive function. PQQ is 10 times stronger than resveratrol. But due to high oxalates in cacao, you should moderate consumption and have a small amount with a quality cheese or grass fed milk because calcium reduces the amount of oxalates being absorbed. Cacao and dark chocolate also contain polyphenols and are very very high in magnesium. (But polyphenols are also abundant in berries, and grass fed meats, and grass fed cheese.) Polyphenols also increase the number of mitochondria. Eating grass fed animal products gives you these polyphenols indirectly without oxalates. Polyphenols reduce oxidation and inflammation. Polyphenols and other nutrients are more bioavailable in grass fed red meats and grass fed cheese, especially if your gut microbiome is compromised.

Coenzyme Q10. Statins block Coenzyme Q10. If you're on statins, you should be taking Coenzyme Q10 to combat the muscle side effects of statins. CoQ10 increases the antioxidant capacity in the body. It is used as a therapy for mitochondrial diseases. CoQ10 is in liver, red meats, and fatty fish.
L-carnitine
. It helps you burn fat. When you exercise, l-carnitine helps preserve muscle protein, and helps you recover after exercise. L-carnitine is very high in red meats.
Carnosine
. Restores mitochondrial damage. It buffers the pH, reduces inflammation, gets rid of oxidative stress, and decreases glycation (which diabetics deal with a lot and is caused by sugars). Glycation from sugars binds up proteins. But carnosine helps stop this. Carnosine delays aging. Carnosine is in red meats.
Phycocyanin
. This is contained in spirulina. It is an algae that improves oxidative stress, and improves and increases mitochondrial biogenesis, meaning it increases the number of mitochondria. It helps protect and repair the DNA.

EPA & DHA. These Omega-3 fatty acids help improve mitochondrial function, decrease oxidative stress, improve insulin sensitivity, and reduce inflammation. These are found in salmon, sardines, and most abundant in cod liver. Or you can take cod liver oil as a supplement.

Let's see you start crossing streets without looking and see how that works out for ya! laughing.gif

There are in fact things we need to do as we have a part to play in what happens to us... eating garbage will eventually produce bad health as it's side effect and health will be elusive which you'll probably believe God wanted it to be that way, or it's his will to teach you something or He's testing you, or some other nonsense.

It's in your best long term interest eat well.

I'm seeing people speak negatively about eating meats and fats which God created for us to eat. We are not in the garden anymore. The atmosphere has changed. God gave meats after the flood. And in the world we're living in today, we need even more healthy protein and fats to maintain health. One of the doctrines of demons that scripture says will mark the last days is commanding people to abstain from meats.

Many people are overcoming autoimmune conditions, thyroid dysfunction, obesity, diabetes (I & II), inflammation, and even cancer by going keto, ketovore, or carnivore. The lower the carbs, the better.

And there are those who become ill by following these diet plans.

Weight and BMI are usually the result of genetics and available food supply.
Not necessarily because people eat candy bars and potatoes and drink sodas.

I fully disagree. Candy, potato chips, and sodas aren't food. The scientific studies are being done showing that the DNA can repair itself given the adequate amount of right nutrients. You should look into the research.

You seem to be active in promoting things that are detrimental to life and health.

Too much of anything is detrimental to your health.
We are omnivores. We eat everything. Not strictly meat and not strictly vegetables.

A diet of strictly highly processed foods is likely not good for you. Nor is a completely natural food diet.

We need sugars, starches, proteins, tubers, legumes, protiens and various fats. Where monosodium glutamate is probably not great....it's inconsequential.

"Salt is good" was said by Jesus. You gonna argue with the literal Creator of the Universe? I'm not so full of hubris. They also called Jesus a drunk because he drank alcoholic wine. I'm not sure that was a good idea either.

Eating a variety of foods is the best idea ever given. And I eat a wide wide range. Rice, potatoes, pasta, bread...especially bread. As in "Give us this day our daily bread"

Where did I say that salt was bad? lol I eat Redmond's salt, pink Himalayan salt, and sea salt. And I never said plants were the devil. My body doesn't thrive on them ...at this time. Once my body has had time to heal by giving it densely nutritious food, I plan to try different foods again. I love sweet potatoes, cucumbers, onions, tomatoes, bok choy, romaine lettuce, squash, zucchini. But right now, I can't eat them. One day, I may be able to eat them again.

Most people today eat an inordinate amount of bread (as well as non-foods and empty calories like candy bars, cakes, and soda). And as a result, a huge percentage of those people are either diabetic or prediabetic , and suffer severe brain fog, then go on to develop dementia (which doctors have called "Type III diabetes"). And no one eats the good bread that was available before men began tampering with the things God created.

I get ill, bloated, acid reflux, and heart palpitations when I eat potatoes and anything containing wheat ...even "organic, non-gmo." I am thriving eating mostly animal products with a few exceptions ...herbs (including herb teas with monk fruit or stevia), spices, and supplements. When I eat veggies, it causes severe stomach issues. And I only eat organic, non-gmo.

I'll eat what agrees with my body. I've been eating this way for 9 months. My hair isn't falling out any more from low thyroid, my hair is growing like crazy and getting thicker. My muscle strength is increasing. Inflammation is down significantly. My vision is improving. Reflux is down by 90% or more. I have ZERO bloating. I sleep better, and feel calmer. No fog ... more motivation. My skin is smoother. lol

I could go on and on. I'm grateful for the good food God has provided. I probably won't eat this way forever. I plan to re-introduce a few foods at a time as my body heals to see what I can tolerate.

You do you ... I'll do me. I'll keep sharing my experience and testimonies of many many others who have overcome health issues through healthy eating.

1 Timothy 4:1-6
[1]Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
[2]Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
[3]Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
[4]For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
[5]For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
[6]If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.

Colossians 2:16
[16]Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
