Though many people would say that Satan could not decide for Eve or any other creature. Humans have an independent will to choose whatever they desire. And Eve had no one to blame as she freely chose to touch the fruit on the tree of the K of G and E.Satans lie got Eve to rebel.
All was well until the Tempter's advert reached its target audience.Though many people would say that Satan could not decide for Eve or any other creature. Humans have an independent will to choose whatever they desire. And Eve had no one to blame as she freely chose to touch the fruit on the tree of the K of G and E.
All was well until one of the created beings was sent to earth to tempt Eve. It would seem everything would have been perfect if the Creators didn't design, create and place a certain tree in the middle of Eve's domain. It appears the Creators can take the credit for what had and is continuing to happen as a consequence of Their actions. All was well until the Tempter's advert reached its target audience.
Where is it written that one was “sent” to tempt Eve?All was well until one of the created beings was sent to earth to tempt Eve. It appears the Creators can take the credit for what had and is continuing to happen as a consequence of Their actions.
I praise Them for Their script that is continuing to unfold under Their sovereign reign.
What do you mean, where is it written?Where is it written that one was “sent” to tempt Eve?
I have never heard this declaration…What do you mean, where is it written?
There is no implication in Scripture that God sent Satan to tempt Eve. Quite the opposite. All was well until one of the created beings was sent to earth to tempt Eve.
I have never heard this declaration…
So my questions are simple…
Who is the created being in which you speak?
Who sent this being to tempt Eve?
And where can I read of this in the Bible?
So are you saying that God won't tempt us directly? There is no implication in Scripture that God sent Satan to tempt Eve. Quite the opposite.
Jas 1:12-15 Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. (13) Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am tempted by God"; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. (14) But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. (15) Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.
No God does not tempt us….So are you saying that God won't tempt us directly?
Will He get others to tempt us for Him?
Yes she used free will. But satan lied to her and said she positively would not die.Though many people would say that Satan could not decide for Eve or any other creature. Humans have an independent will to choose whatever they desire. And Eve had no one to blame as she freely chose to touch the fruit on the tree of the K of G and E.
I appreciate the recorded story of Job where God draws Satan's attention to Job. God gives satan permission to tempt Job to curse God and die but God gives Job a way of escape . Job resists and is blessed. There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
God did not necessarily give Satan permission to tempt Job.I

Then God wanted to tempt Ahab to go against God's protection and be killed. So God has an angel go use prophets to deceive Ahab so he ends up going to his death. God blesses the angel's plan.
1 Kings 22:19 Micaiah continued, “Therefore hear the word of the Lord: I saw the Lord sitting on his throne with all the multitudes of heaven standing around him on his right and on his left. 20 And the Lord said, ‘Who will entice Ahab into attacking Ramoth Gilead and going to his death there?’
“One suggested this, and another that. 21 Finally, a spirit came forward, stood before the Lord and said, ‘I will entice him.’
22 “‘By what means?’ the Lord asked.
“‘I will go out and be a deceiving spirit in the mouths of all his prophets,’ he said.
“‘You will succeed in enticing him,’ said the Lord. ‘Go and do it.’
23 “So now the Lord has put a deceiving spirit in the mouths of all these prophets of yours. The Lord has decreed disaster for you.”
I love the wisdom and confidence of God when He arranges for people to be drawn, enticed and moved towards testing, even into temptation.
Math 4:1 Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. 2 And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry. 3 Now when the tempter came to Him, he said...
5 Then the devil took Him up into the holy city, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple.....
8 Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain.....
And after this very trying experience of being led by His Father into temptation through His means, the Spirit of God and Satan, He told His followers to pray...
Math 6:9 Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name ...13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.... of the evil one.
Jesus didn't want them to go through what He did when His Father led Him into temptation.
Told her the truth also.Yes she used free will. But satan lied to her and said she positively would not die.
No, God always wants repentance from sin.So are you saying that God won't tempt us directly?
Will He get others to tempt us for Him?
So you think God had no idea that satan would go and test Job's perfection, uprightness, fear of God and avoidance of evil when God drew Satan's attention to Job?God did not necessarily give Satan permission to tempt Job.
Look at it closely…
Verse 6
6 And the Lord said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life.
So here is where you believe Satan is given permission to temp Job.
But before verse 6, in verse 3 we see Job has already been dealing with evil.. thus temptation.
3 And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?
That would defeat his purpose. God created him for that purpose. To be the devil. Why didn't God destroy Satan at the beginning?
I think Satan was already testing Job, and felt God was helping Job… and just for clarification I think Job is the oldest book of the Bible which makes for some consideration on what is.S
So you think God had no idea that satan would go and test Job's perfection, uprightness, fear of God and avoidance of evil when God drew Satan's attention to Job?
Opposition to God's Will is inevitable, so the choice was Lucifer's to make. That would defeat his purpose. God created him for that purpose. To be the devil.
