From 1966 to 1975, the Watchtower regularly implied that Armageddon would arrive in 1975. However, ask one of Jehovah's Witnesses about this date and they will invariably deny there ever being such statements.

This year marks 50 years since JWs predicted the end asxwe know it forc1975.

I don't see any JWs commenting. Weird!
And you probably won't. They no longer engage with me, preferring to ignore my posts and comments. So I'll just keep posting and commenting. They accuse me of having an agenda, as if they don’t. I mean after all, why are they here? Why is anyone here?

I heard this one old preacher on youtube once who was around back in the late 60s early 70s and and ex JW gave him a bunch of old JW magazines that spoke of all this so he has proof from their own official publications about all this.

If they deny their own publications.
Claim they didn't make these predictions.
What does that make them?

If you have studied what they believe and have a good handle on how to talk to these folks and present the real Gospel to them, then I'd think that's something the Lord is wanting you to participate in.

I've been witnessing to Witnesses for 35 years. Usually only those already questioning willlusten and dialogs. But those like Kiew are too brainwashed to see the Truth. Others like Aunty Jane have too many years invested for them to walk away.

Yep, many cannot walk away even if they figure out they are in false doctrine because they have their pride to think of and they put more value upon the people they hang out with than then do the Lord

I've seen people going to churches that teach false doctrine and they admit they know they are sitting under false doctrine but they'll say "but all my friends go here and I don't want to lose my friends" meaning their friends mean more to them than the Lord. Sad.

What publication did the excerpt originate? What was the year? Are you aware that the JW's do not use the King James Version. I suspect that this pubication was written about 100 years ago.

Should we donate to our church in lieu of sending golden 50 anniversary gifts to the Watchtower Society?

The rank and file follow the lead of the Governing Body without question. So it makes them "brainwashed" and it makes the leadership deceivers.
