Hi there,
So I have gone in and out of understanding 'Evolution', I have turned the whole thing on its head and what I can't stand is the idea that it somehow does away with the need of a relationship with Christ. Before Evolution was coined, Creationists vouched that "God had created the Universe" - not everyone believed the Creationists, but that was the offer: an offer of relationship with Christ. But then Evolution came along and as Dawkins put it "people were able to be intellectually fulfilled atheists" (exact quote unknown). This is wrong!
The Devil has effectively wounded himself, by denigrating his need of worship to chance, and used the injury and what caused it to attempt to wound God (which in and of itself, also wounds God, not because He is vulnerable, but because He is sensitive). The problem with this is that there is no way to "wound the Devil back". The most people can do, is go their separate ways. What a shame!
The thing is, I am still in the world (though I am not of it) and it makes me angry that people fall for the Devil's cunning. In my heart I mock the Devil, saying "yes! this is preposterous! you ought to believe it more than you do!" - which soothes the wound a little, but still. Jesus said there was a snare coming on those who dwell on the face of the Earth, He never suggested we would have to put up with it 'day in and day out'. I mean really: someone pray for these people who are coming in to the snare. And let us get help, letting it go!
The power of prayer in this regard, is that it is an anchor for the soul. Prayer ties us together with scripture, and causes living water to quench our thirst. Whenever I think of Creationists, I am comforted, that they have not let go of their faith in God, the Creator. Soundly, they will tell you "there is one Creator, and God is He" - they are not downtrodden, they are not snared, and if they are bitter about it, its not because they are bitter about you not believing the choice they have given you. Far from it!
I guess what I am learning, in putting all this down, is that even if I did come up with a world beating argument against "Evolution", at some point, I would have to let that go too. God would reward me, but He is going to reward me anyway. So I guess I should have a measure of solace, either way!
I hope this has been of some encouragement. Please pray.

Perhaps what mankind calls evolution, is actually the outcome of living in a fallen world.
