The psalm obviously isn’t about David. The psalm is about the Messiah.

The NT writers used it - the most frequently quoted / alluded to OT text in the NT - to support their belief and the preaching of the apostles that Jesus of Nazareth is the Messiah, Son of God.
Of course its about MESSIAH and HIS FATHER

34“For David did not ascend into the heavens, but he says himself:

‘The Lord said to my Lord,
“Sit at My right hand,
35Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.” ’
36“Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.

Just as the pre-incarnate JESUS was saying to David so the FATHER says to His only begotten SON = LORD JESUS CHRIST

Precisely what I’ve been saying the whole time. I don’t know what flipped the switch for you and it doesn’t matter. This is a Messianic psalm. (It doesn’t take an army of trinitarian theologians to know that - though such an army exists.) The Father (Yahweh) is speaking prophetically to the Son (Jesus of Nazareth.)

Yeah, what would Jews know about their own Tanakh.
What do unredeemed Jews know about their Messiah YEHSUA HaMashiach???

So you believe with those who had their own prophets and Messiah killed???

JESUS was wrong in saying this???

Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you build the tombs of the prophets and adorn the monuments of the righteous, 30and say, ‘If we had lived in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.’

31“Therefore you are witnesses against yourselves that you are sons of those who murdered the prophets. 32Fill up, then, the measure of your fathers’ guilt. 33Serpents, brood of vipers! How can you escape the condemnation of hell? 34Therefore, indeed, I send you prophets, wise men, and scribes: some of them you will kill and crucify, and some of them you will scourge in your synagogues and persecute from city to city, 35that on you may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah, son of Berechiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar. 36Assuredly, I say to you, all these things will come upon this generation.

The pre-incarnate JESUS/LORD is speaking prophetically to David of HIS relationship to His FATHER

As the LORD is to David so also is the FATHER to the LORD

THE LORD said to my lord/David

34“For David did not ascend into the heavens, but he says himself:

‘The Lord said to my Lord,
“Sit at My right hand,

36“Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.

Just as the pre-incarnate JESUS was saying to David so the FATHER says to His only begotten SON = LORD JESUS CHRIST

Notice that Peter, by the Holy Spirit, does not call God - the LORD - but instead calls Jesus the LORD

The pre-incarnate JESUS/LORD is speaking prophetically to David of HIS relationship to His FATHER

It’s the Father himself who is the speaker.

Do you even acknowledge that the Father himself speaks anywhere in the Hebrew Bible? Do you acknowledge that God didn’t speak through his Son until “these last days” (Hebrews 1:1)?

As the LORD is to David so also is the FATHER to the LORD

THE LORD said to my lord/David

34“For David did not ascend into the heavens, but he says himself:

‘The Lord said to my Lord,
“Sit at My right hand,

Now you're diverging from the original topic we were discussing.

Your comments about the Jews is quite something..

There's nothing more to discuss.

My wife is Jewish and my children are Jewish and i have Chabad rabbis who are my friends, one of which who my wife and i were witnessing to received JESUS as His Messiah and Savior.

This SAVED Jewish rabbi said this to me: "the rabbis are WRONG and they do not know Scripture"

Your comments about GENESIS and the jewish rabbis who hate CHRIST are on the WRONG side of TRUTH.

It’s the Father himself who is the speaker.
Nope

Do you believe JESUS or not???

the LORD Jesus Christ Says:
"But I have a greater witness than John’s; for the works which the Father has given Me to finish—the very works that I do—bear witness of Me, that the Father has sent Me. And the Father Himself, who sent Me, has testified of Me.
You have neither heard His voice at any time, nor seen His form." -
John 5:37

Hebrews 1:1
God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son,

John 1:1
In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God

The Word, who was God in the beginning, spoke to the prophets.

When the Word became flesh, then the FATHER spoke thru the SON = John 5:37

You’ve completely misunderstood the psalm.

Do you believe JESUS or not???

I do. It’s you and your theology that I don’t believe.

the LORD Jesus Christ Says:
"But I have a greater witness than John’s; for the works which the Father has given Me to finish—the very works that I do—bear witness of Me, that the Father has sent Me. And the Father Himself, who sent Me, has testified of Me.

John 5:37

John 1:1
In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God

The Word who was God in the beginning spoke to the prophets.

When the Word became flesh, then the FATHER spoke thru the SON

The specific Jews whom Jesus was addressing - not every person who has ever lived - hadn’t heard his voice. Jesus isn’t even speaking literally about them not hearing the Father himself. Their ears were not receptive to what the Father said to them. The Father put his words in Jesus’ mouth to speak. They didn’t hear the Father. They should have. Jesus is the form of the Father. He was standing right in front of them and they couldn’t see. They should have seen the Father.

The Father himself speaks constantly in the Hebrew Bible. The Father himself speaks in the Son in the New Testament, and occasionally does himself.

JESUS is misinformed according to you.

Listen again to JESUS - "You have neither heard His voice at any time, nor seen His form."

at any time =
goes all the way back to Genesis
nor seen His form = goes all the way back to Genesis

Abraham saw My Day and rejoiced
Moses saw the "Form of the LORD" = the pre-incarnate JESUS
Isaiah saw the LORD = the pre-incarnate JESUS
Ezekiel saw the LORD = the pre-incarnate JESUS

Do you believe JESUS = John 14:6
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through Me"

When a person rejects the Scriptures they falsely accuse = they did it to the Prophets and to JESUS all the time

Since no one can come to the FATHER except thru the JESUS/The WORD, then no one has heard the FATHER's voice or seen His Form

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me"

John 1:1 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Yes.

No. Moses saw his the Father’s backside. You’ve muted the Father. You haven’t heard his voice.

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me"

Yes.

Yes.
So you again deny CHRIST as speaking TRUTH = "no one has seen the FATHER's form at any time" = John 5:37

JESUS Says:
"No one, (including Moses) can come to the FATHER except thru ME"

The FATHER never allowed any man to approach HIM = except His SON

I don’t ever deny the Messiah as speaking truth.

You’ve testified of yourself that you’ve neither seen nor heard the Father. That’s the truth. It puts you in the same position as the unbelieving Jews.
