Supposedly, Akiba knew who Jesus was, and rightfully it is a crock. After the second coming, and post temple, Bar Kochba was confused with Jesus. But a witness about the original LXX is not worth ignoring. Even when talking about the tower of Babel, God says, "Let me..."
It is not to think Jesus is not God. The problem was that the Arians/Origenists turned the raising of the dead into a farce.
When the LORD says, LET US go down (In Genesis 5-8) how is that supposedly worded in it? Does it say, curious
Because the LORD appeared to Abraham as three men here
Gen 18:1
And the LORD (JEHOVAH 3068)
appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day;
Gen 18:2
And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door,
and bowed himself toward the ground,
And called JEHOVAH
'adown
Gen 18:3
And said, My Lord (
'adown H113), if now I have found favour in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant:
Then up further...
Gen 18:20
And the LORD (JEHOVAH 3068) said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous;
Gen 18:21
I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto me; and if not, I will know.
And then here we see
Gen 18:22
And the men (which are two)
turned their faces from thence, and went toward Sodom:
but Abraham stood yet before the LORD (JEHOVAH 3068).
But then here (after the two men are removed) Abraham adresses the LORD (JEHOVAH) as Lord
'Adonay
Gen 18:27 And Abraham answered and said,
Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord (
'Adonay H 136), which am but dust and ashes:
The men turning from where Abraham was (where it says JEHOVAH remained) would be two men
But when
the two men arrived at Sodom, and Lot adresses them as
'adown there also
Gen 19:2
And he (Lot) said,
Behold now, my lords (
'adown H113), turn in, I pray you, into your servant's house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night.
And here in Moses it says,
Exodus 6:3
And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by
the name of God Almighty, but
by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.
That is interesting to me
Which ofcourse (as pertaining to Exodus 6:3) would be referring to these, even as the one prior to the above.
Gen 17:1
And when Abram was ninety years old and nine,
the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.
Gen.28
[3]
And God Almighty bless thee, and make thee fruitful, and multiply thee, that thou mayest be a multitude of people;
Gen.35
[11]
And God said unto him, I am God Almighty: be fruitful and multiply; a nation and a company of nations shall be of thee, and kings shall come out of thy loins;
Gen.48
[3]
And Jacob said unto Joseph, God Almighty appeared unto me at Luz in the land of Canaan, and blessed me,
Gen.49
[25]
Even by the God of thy father, who shall help thee; and by the Almighty, who shall bless thee with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lieth under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb:
Any thoughts or corrections on the switch in how that adress between the the pictures there? Its been awhile since I looked at this again.
