I am a she (just so you know)Never mind me. Follow @Truly He knows it all.
I am a she (just so you know)
and I am asking you to point out
how you recconcile what you state
versus what scripture states.
Quote what it is that I posted that you have a problem with, I quoted you.Why does Jesus torture people forever?
If you mean by forever as without end then the great news is that God will not. Those in the lake of fire will repent and will be reconciled to their loving Creator. Why does Jesus torture people forever?

We have come to know the scriptures are very beneficial as they contain some of God's expressed thoughts. Yet we also know from experiencing a person relationship with Christ that He continues to reveal His (our) Father's thoughts to us directly. You mean the scriptures I posted?
Until God gave me a personal direct revelation of this part of His plan I did not believe this truth. I was taught from human teachers that we can only be reconciled to God in this life. Quoting, it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.@Truly teaches otherwise.
What has your response have to do with that?We have come to know the scriptures are very beneficial as they contain some of God's expressed thoughts. Yet we also know from experiencing a person relationship with Christ that He continues to reveal His (our) Father's thoughts to us directly.
It's great to receive direct revelation, to hear our Shepherd's voice hey. Most don't. But one day we all will see, hear and know our loving Creator personally. This is awesome hope we have in our heart. I think about it every day and praise Him for His irresistible love.
you need to learn the Bible (His WORDs) from the Bible itself. My bad. I now realize that your understanding is complete and infallible. I'll be quiet going forward and learn everything about God from you.
He is just trying to divert answering to the scriptures posted to his own words by whistling to others on this thread concerning me to take up what was posted to him (with whomever will rescue him from that task). Not following anyone....but I doubt that @Truly knows either.
I would like to point out that the new Jerusalem comes to the earth, the wicked are then raised to face their final judgement. They are the ones outside the gates. On earth. When the investigation is over, the evidence presented, and the sentence passed... The second death... Fire comes down from heaven and ask the wicked are destroyed. Not by the fire, but by their own guilt in the presence of an holy Almighty God. That same fire that destroys sin and the collateral damage of those who refused to let it go, also cleanses the earth of all the pollutants and destruction that had taken place a1000 years previously at the second coming when Jesus took His bride home to His Father. Then, a new heaven and a new earth. No sin or sinners, devil or demons, to mar the pristine universe. No death, sickness, hell, suffering, pain or sorrow. Only peace and joy forever more.
Universalism is a dangerous doctrine.
All the focus is on - Jesus saving everyone at the end. Doesn't matter what kind of life a person lived. Doesn't matter if they worshiped idols, or anything like that. Doesn't matter if they ever believed there was a God that was mighty than them. Jesus is just gonna save everyone in the end. Now, while I believe in Universal salvation (Jesus saved everyone since his victory - from Satan, his angels, death, hades, the wrath of God that came on Jerusalem, and of course sin has been paid for (it was paid for already) There is no such thing as "All way lead to heaven" which is basically what universalism is.There is only one way to heaven, that is through Christ Jesus. He is the truth, the way, the life and no one gets to the Father except through Him.
While I do believe the Lake of fire still exist it comes from God, and John the beloved - states there are people on the outside of the heavenly CITY. The city gates never close but the damage is done after this life of resurrection, without Christ. There is only the resurrection of condemnation - with a spiritual body not equipped to dwell in the light - they live outside of the Kingdom. This is good to at least know, that God doesn't destroy them because he desires none to perish - however he does get rid of everything of the prior age mentioned in the second note of (salvation).
The only way to receive deliverance is to come to Christ and die, be buried, and raise with Him being born again in newness of life. So everyone is saved from - Jesus saved everyone since his victory - from Satan, his angels, death, hades, the wrath of God that came on Jerusalem, and Sin has been paid for. Salvation to be delivered from darkness to light, and to be saved to (notice the difference) (From - To) - the Kingdom of God is to come to know the Lord Jesus Christ, and the one whom he had sent which is eternal life, and to believe on them.
There is no "all ways lead to heaven" which is Universalism which says - all are going straight into the Kingdom of God.
I do believe people will come to know Christ in the afterlife but the damage they did to themselves is permanent, and coming through the lake of fire - perhaps it gets rid of all the darkness and what little is left of them remains compared to those who choose to have faith and build spiritual treasures in heaven, following Christ. Those in the darkness, have to make the choice to come and walk towards God going through "the fire and flames" - does it burn like normal fire? IDK but it will be tough to deny oneself to get through. Reconciliationism. God is good. He has a purpose but it's not like some think, especially in the realm of "universalism."
Why are faithless people claimed to be outside of the gates of the city in heaven?
With what in particular my friend? What has your response have to do with that?
When Jesus comes, He brings His reward with Him. Sinners die and the redeemed are taken as the Bride to meet the Father. The judgement has already taken place by the time the Lord returns else how else will the angels know who to take and who to leave behind?Amen.....Ezekiel 18 is a witness of this truth and edifying to read and be reminded. And the whole book of Jude also. It's such a deception not to take the clear warnings of scripture seriously....written for our good.....we need them. God is not mocked. I pray that those who need to will open their eyes. It's appointed unto man but once to die and after that JUDGMENT.....physical death clearly is the demarcation line.
Yes, what a hope we have in God's plan for His creations. With your focus on this creation when King Jesus restores and renews this planet over 1000 years. When we redeemed one's rule as kings and priests with KING OF KINGS and the GREAT HIGH PRIEST ensuring this objective is completed. I'm not sure about you but my hope and anticipation grows by the day.I would like to point out that the new Jerusalem comes to the earth, the wicked are then raised to face their final judgement. They are the ones outside the gates. On earth. When the investigation is over, the evidence presented, and the sentence passed... The second death... Fire comes down from heaven and ask the wicked are destroyed. Not by the fire, but by their own guilt in the presence of an holy Almighty God. How is your response related to the post you had quoted (post #547)With what in particular my friend?
What a fantastic hope we have hey. A reward for what God does in and through us in this life. As Jesus encouraged us, build up for yourself treasure in heaven. When Jesus comes, He brings His reward with Him.
Yay! To be married to our Jesus.Sinners die and the redeemed are taken as the Bride to meet the Father.
Yes, when the wheat and tares are fully grown then they will be distinguishable from one another. Easy to separate. Like the mark of the beast will make it clear. Those who gather around the saints in Jerusalem will make it clear. The sheep and the goats will be seen for who they are.The judgement has already taken place by the time the Lord returns else how else will the angels know who to take and who to leave behind?
Great question. Why does Jesus torture people forever?
