And if the hearing one gets contradict Scripture in any way shape or form- it is a revalation not from god. It is that simple. the Spirit would never contradict or alter Scripture. It is impossible for Him to do so!
That is absolutely correct.

But then if there is any issue, it shows a departure from scriptures--which works BOTH ways. The matter simply remains one of understanding, and the examples are many BOTH ways. Many have been right, and also wrong--BOTH ways. Meaning, it is all still under the care of the Spirit to reveal where and when He wills, where no man of his own knowledge is qualified to say one way or the other; and there is no actual contest, only the age-old spiritual war.

Well there is much truth to what you say.

but there is also a grave danger as well! for many have used "understanding" to bring in many pernicious and destructive heresies. God wrote teh Scriptures for thoise with the faith of a child can grow.

There are no hidden meanings. There are symbols and apocalyptic language but Scripture defines these as well so we do not have to rely on dreams and "new revelations" or "higher spiritual meanings". These are dangerous red flag words and all should approach those using them armed with Scripture. It is through these types of "understandings" that teh cults have been born and prosper preying on the vulnerable .

BTW: I am still sincerely interested in what you would answer a person if they asked you " What must I do tyo be saved"?

What you describe was no issue for Daniel, why is it an issue for you?

The point is--No--your idea of no "higher spiritual meaning" is against a lot of what is in the scriptures. Meaning, you have made yourself a rule. Well, good luck with that--but it's not going to work with God, or His word, or His ongoing plans.

On the contrary, the Word of God is alive and full of meaning no one person (except Christ) could even name...and He reveals it "precept upon precept, line upon line, here a little there a little" until "all truth" is known.

So you have appointed yourself the revealer of these "higher spiritual meanings". that is what all cult leaders have said and done in the past.

The lines and precepts are the lines and precepts of the written word- not some secrets God reveals to the "adept intiates"

Once again any application, vision, revelation or "higher spiritual meaning" that contradicts, reinterprets, or alters a passage of Scripture is not from God!

“You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears! You always resist the Holy Spirit!"

You speak against God and the Word of God which is spirit, and His servants the prophets--and "every scribe instructed concerning the kingdom of heaven [who] is like a householder who brings out of his treasure things new and old.”

You are a troubled man.

That is a lie.
Well you claim to have gone to the third heaven and seen and heard things we do not know!

You are the one who talk about higher spiritual meanings.

You are the one who has claimed the church has been deceived since the apostles but do not cite these errors. So like it or not you have appointed yourself one who reveals these "higher spiritual meanings" to us who you called carnal for relying on teh written word as the ultimate source.

So now you call yourself a prophet! Wow! No I speak against you and your slandering the written word of God which is our guide, and source of all things God demands of us.

16 For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.

17 For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

18 And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.

19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:

20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

Peter saw the glorified Jesus and moses and Elijah. He heard the voice of god the father from heaven and He declares the written word of God a more sure word.

It is you who slander the written word which points directly to the living word.

2 Timothy 3:16
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Scripture is the written word of god- not some secret "higher spiritual meaning". Once again if any vision, voice, dream, or "higher spiritual meaning" alters, reinterprets, contradicts or change teh written word in any way- it is not from god!

After all this time...you still get it wrong.

I have cited the errors of the church--and if you take that out of your above post--you should be looking at me and what I have said completely different (even as you might do with Paul). Which means we have not yet got past your errors, and that is why.

No...you speak out of your own pride, unwilling to hear "the written word of God" come to fruition, choosing rather to slander a brother and a servant of God. And I tell you by the word of Christ--you will have your portion with the hypocrites.

If you cited them, it was not on any of the threads I have interacted with you. You have repeatedly said the church has been in error since the apostles, and when I ask, you have supplied just 2 issues.

Well I would love to hear your hypotheses of what you think my errors are.

Yes, I hope for your sake, you realize that about yourself someday.
I have been a child of god for 52+ years now thank you very much. but as you have given a wrong answer as to how one gets saved, I am deeply deeply concerned about yours.

Wow, how does your head fit through an airplane hangar door? Now you presume to know my salvation or lack thereof? What boundless hubris you have! You are not god nor would God tell a false prophet like you the state of any mans soul.

I listen intently to the Word of God-But I do not listen to your reinterpretations from your "higher spiritual meanings". If you were a brother and a servant of the Most HIgh God and the Lord Jesus Christ, you would easily know what a person must do to be saved. You answered wrongly on that which explains why you rely on your higher spiritual meanings than the inspired written word of god which is the only source for doctrine, reproof, correction and instruction in righteousness that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished for all good works.

@ScottA, your teaching is false, and your claims of receiving higher spiritual revelation do not give you authority to contradict God's written Word!

You keep suggesting that Christians who rely on Scripture are somehow resisting the Holy Spirit. That is nonsense! The Holy Spirit inspired Scripture! Second Peter 1:21 declares that holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. Second Timothy 3:16-17 declares that Scripture is God-given and sufficient to equip us for every good work.

Stop pretending that your private interpretations carry the authority of the Holy Spirit! First John 4:1 commands us to test the spirits, not blindly accept anyone claiming to speak for God.

You also claim Jesus has already returned spiritually through believers. That is false teaching! Acts 1:11 declares that this same Jesus will return as He ascended, and Revelation 1:7 says, "Every eye shall see him." Christ dwelling in believers does not fulfill or cancel His promised return.

When asked how someone is saved, you failed to give the plain gospel answer: "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved" (Acts 16:31). Salvation is by grace through faith, not by keeping commandments (Ephesians 2:8-9).

And stop accusing people of resisting the Holy Spirit simply because they expose your errors with Scripture. Rejecting your teaching is not rejecting God! It is obeying God.

Paul warned in Galatians 1:8 that even an angel from heaven must be rejected for preaching another gospel. You certainly have no authority to introduce teachings that contradict God's Word.

ScottA, your supposed spiritual revelations cannot overrule Scripture. Stop twisting God's Word to defend your claims.

To everyone reading this: Test what this man teaches against Scripture. Do not follow someone simply because he claims the Holy Spirit revealed something to him.

Jesus warned, "Take heed that no man deceive you." (Matthew 24:4)

God's Word judges Scott's teaching. Scott's teaching does not judge God's Word.

If you cited them, it was not on any of the threads I have interacted with you. You have repeatedly said the church has been in error since the apostles, and when I ask, you have supplied just 2 issues.

Well I would love to hear your hypotheses of what you think my errors are.
First you say I didn't cite any errors within the church, then you say, just two. Here in two sentences you show yourself to be either blind or a liar.

Meanwhile, the errors within the early church all center on "2 issues." Which you say I supplied already.

And again, you show yourself as blind or a liar--saying you would love to hear "your hypotheses"--after I have repeatedly said, it is not "my" hypotheses that I have been giving you, but His who sent me.

If you want to accomplish anything here, stop making it impossible by repeatedly going back over everything, just because you don't believe it and want to ignore it like I have not already addressed things.
