Why do you quote Scripture if it has no authority?
ow many times do I have to answer,

will you listen to anything else???

Round the circle we go. When do you answer teh question, If God disagrees with the bible is God wrong??? Surely if you are right that would be an easy question to answer....

You haven't answered. Show me where you have answered.

Of course I understand you would hope that I ignore it. You would hope that you can present many posts and I might just forget it. But I won't. This is the crucial question for you. And you know it is crucial because you refuse to answer.

So again and again, why do you quote Scripture if it has no authority?

I don't know for sure your position on the elect of God. I will say this, Jesus as God the Son knows those who are His. He does grieve for those who are His, who are lost, but led away by false teachers such as the Pharisees.

But He does not grieve over those who are the Pharisees which lead His lost away from Him.

And we are not told in the passages I gave, that Jesus wept. We are shown that He was angry with the Pharisees.

I really do not believe we are disagreeing. My point essentially is that as Jesus had reason to weep, so should we.

I agree. And, the older we as believers get, the easier it is to weep. Or should I say the older we as believers get the harder it is not to weep.

So again and again, why do you quote Scripture if it has no authority?
did, you have used it with BOL did it do anything, if it had any authority, surely something would of happened, would it not. If you had authority to cast out demons surely they would leave when commanded, if the scriptures had any authority surely even BOL couldnt stand against them yet here he is still standing with a lot of dead bones of teh lords children beneath his feet whom he used scripture against. So where is the authority??

Disagreement on what the Scriptures are saying is not the same as you saying they have no authority. It is because BreadOfLife and I agree that the Scriptures have authority, that we contend over the Scriptures.

You however, view the Scriptures as having no authority, yet you always use them. Thus my question.

Why do you quote the Scriptures when they have no authority? And you have not answered that.

And on it goes......

Of course it does. It reveals the emptiness of your constant claim that the Bible is not the Word of God. It reveals the emptiness of your claim that you get what you need to know just from Jesus.

You don't answer because you can't. It reveals the emptiness of your claim. When one is brought to the place where they cannot answer the question for fear it is an admission to their emptiness, if they had any credibility at all, they would try and change their methods. But, not you. You would rather pretend your method is just fine though you cannot answer questions to defend it.

You deny the Bible the authority God gave it, as the Word of God. Yet you constantly use the Scriptures to prove your points. So, again, Why do you quote Scripture when you say it has no authority?

I have answered you countless times. but you refuse to answer "one " question, because simply you cant, You are playing games. You claim scripture has authority, well these forum are testament that they do not as do your empty words. If teh Bible was teh word of God than all christians would be walking in the truth, it would be impossible for them not to be yet here we are.... You have an Idol you need to defend, thats Ok so does our friend. I have none, Jesus is not an idol neither is God nor the Holy Spirit who agree with one another. God has set no requirements for Himself to agree with a book. That is your idea not His.

Could quote teh bible but you would just get irritated again.

I am sure that if I havnt answered you someone would pipe up in your defense..

No, you have replied several times but you have never answered my question. And, you are determined not to, as I said, because it reveals the emptiness of your position.

Not all Christians walk in the truth. Does that make Jesus an idol?

So, again, Why do you quote Scripture when you say it has no authority? And, if it has no authority why am I to believe it when you give it to me as proof?

Your position is not only ridiculous but dangerous. If you trace it back far enough you will see that it makes you the originator of what to believe. I know, I know, you say it is Jesus who tells you what to believe. But, how do I know that? How does anyone know that Jesus told you this other than you? In fact, Jesus told me that the Bible is the Word of God. What did He tell you?

even more so your claim that it is the word of God, just look at how many christians will never know God because they carry Him around in there pocket. You have absolute no proof that it is, and all the argument about it on this forum prove that it is not.

Now stop playing games and answer my question, what is it you are afraid of. If God disagrees with the bible, whos wrong God or the bible.

I am not playing your games anymore, i am not a child.

If you are not a child then quit acting like one. You see, you cannot respond to other questions I presented in my last post because they bring you to the same conclusion that your position is empty. You make yourself to be the origin of your beliefs.

And I am not playing games. What we are discussing is of first rate importance. Do you consider this a game? I don't.

There is no answer at all in the posts you give to the question I have been asking. And the questions I asked you in #212, you did not answer, though you claimed in #215 to have answered 'all' my questions.

Are you so deceived as to believe you are really answering?

Again, why do you quote the Bible if it has no authority? And review again post #212, and consider and answer those questions also.

I wouldn't expect a straight answer out of this guy. I challenged this character to discard the Bible he claims is NOT the word of God and speak the 'truth' by the power of that holy spirit he likes to boast of having, and I'm STILL waiting. He is sill using the Bible he keeps claiming isn't credible. To call this guy double minded would be an understatement. He is much more than that, but I won't even go there.

I don't. Sometimes you just need to lance the boil.
