I believe our friend mjrhealth shares the same frustration that I do. The when we read "today is the day of salvation", and that we "have become a new creation" that "old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new" - we take that to mean "It is finished."
And is saddens us that you should be caught up in a snare any longer:
You can certainly take anything to mean anything that makes you happy. Does it mean that your taking matches God's intending? God's word whether spoken or read is a snare to all who don't really care / love to be like them.
The fact that we do not see things the same way on most critical points means one of two things either you are veiled or I am veiled. Now suppose for a moment that I am not veiled and you are trying change my point of view to "save me", What in fact would you be doing If you succeeded?
Of course there is no chance at this point that you can succeed since based on past interactions you would likely be hard pressed just tell me God's first words....
