For those who say: If one wants to prostitute its OK with me. I think it's OK for people to do anything they wish as long as it doesn't effect myself. Or for those who have nothing to say of these Judges who pollute our society with such rulings. I say you and your Judges have fallen away from our Fathers teachings.

When we pass judgment on others, we pass judgment on ourselves.

Matthew 7
1 “Judge not, that you be not judged.
2 For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.

Your post is a good example of that passage from Matthew.

so then, you are Anarchist? You don't vote, etc?

I say who is really Judging who here. Do you know what it is to Judge. Do you feel it to be OK with what is happening in our Country or have an opinion of these things. Or just sit back and say Oh well it's Ok with me. I myself am here to see what others have to say and possible learn. Not so much to find Fault with others. But then if you are a learned Christian think of how they treated Jesus.

You are. When you made this comment. See the portion that's highlighted in red? That's you passing judgment on all the posters of this thread that didn't respond to the article the way you thought they should. In fact you have yet to put in your 2 cents regarding those Judges from the article. So in essence you also passed judgment on yourself.
Or for those who have nothing to say of these Judges who pollute our society with such rulings.I say you and your Judges have fallen away from our Fathers teachings.

Yes. Your post is a perfect example.

The world is gonna do what the world does. All I can do is observe from a distance. If they want to legalize prostitution, who am I to say they can't. Prostitution is still going to exist whether it's legalized or not, so talking smack about those involved accomplishes nothing. We're accountable for every idle word we speak. Rambling on about things that have nothing to do with the kingdom of God just adds to the things we're accountable for. I have enough on my plate as it is, I don't need to add to it.

I myself am here to see what others have to say and possible learn. Not so much to find Fault with others.

But you do find fault in others and that's where it all went south. Your thread wasn't moving in the direction you wanted it to, so you lash out and claim we have all fallen away from the truth.

But then if you are a learned Christian think of how they treated Jesus.

You're not Jesus and if you see me as unlearned in the ways of the truth, I'm ok with that. You're not the first to call me stupid and I doubt you'll be the last.

You have a nice day buddy...

Do you believe in the scriptures that plainly calls two individuals of the same gender banging each other an abomination?
Sure. But I don't believe that fanatical and extremist Christians are the best ones to teach on the topic. Jesus was neither fanatical or extremist. He told his Diciples upon preparing them for their missionary tour through the cities of Isreal, in Matthew that if those who were to hear their words on the message of Salvation did not hear their words, then the cities and villages in question would recieve a judgement more severe then what Sodom and Gomorrah would recieve. This is not at all as Fanatic or extremist as the Conservative churches want to be. Jesus is not extremist or fanatic. So why are you who participated in an election that enabled an alledged pedophile to become President of the USA today? Looks like you have need to take the log out of your eye before putting all homosexuals in the same boat ,calling them all deviant and sending them to Hell while the USA president lives worry free of his alledged crime of pedophile sexuality.

he makes a valid point, even if the semantics could have been better.
I have to ask. Are you gay?
You aren't able to read my last response about not trusting people to not give me AIDS? What part of that do you not understand?

Job, I avoid asking the question that you felt obliged to ask ,because here sexual orientation is protected by confidentiality law. I shall take another similar piece of information and not answer that question because it seems I'd be setting setting pearls before swine. It is enough to say that I have achieved more then 16 years of sexual abstinance, And instead of being congratulatory you are getting ready to argue symantics. I'm not biting. You haven't told me what your sex life was like twenty years ago after all.

I understand completely. I just didn't want to make assumptions about your sexual preference since you hadn't made that clear. I asked that question to see if you were honest enough to admit your faults. Whether you are or not is no business of mine but if you're gonna to breach the issue, why not come clean?

Because Job there are those who are GAY who will make fun of GAYS,their own kind, just to maintain an image of being hetrosexual. How do I know you are not of that kind and are protecting others from finding out YOU are a homosexual? Considering your coldness towards GLBT persons, your double standard of what constitutes right behavior based on sexual orientation you have left me to be open to the possibility that you are GAY yourself. And IF you are you will not admit it . Will you?

Oh my goodness you two @Job and @DicipleofJesus are unbelievable. :D :D

A son of one of our friends, is gay,.... it broke our friends heart...the son ( adult) lives in our city...we have him at our house for Christmas every year.
He is a great lad...he still goes to Church etc. (I just can't wrap my head around it...but, that is between him and God)...we treat him like any other young man.

I said all that to say...if either of you are...I will still be your friend. :D

You have both now painted yourselves into a corner....now what?
Who's move?

You are doing as you ought to be doing with this son of your friend by accepting him as he is. I applaud you for that. But I doubt that Job would be like you for an instant for whatever reason. I won't say more here But when I was a Christian I experienced an existance of shame. Now if I go back to church it won,t be a Conservative Protestant church just because of the bigotry towards people like your son and the cruelty some of them performed, because loving Christians would not be that cruel. Yeah yeah. Been there. Thanks for the word though. It is like a breath of fresh air. :)

If you wish to consider me gay, I don't care. I've already stated that I'm a heterosexual, but if you want to call me a liar, I'm ok with that. Your opinion of me has no bearing on the final outcome of my journey with the Lord. He knows the real story.

If you're ashamed of who you are, you should ask yourself why. When I was sexually active, I was ashamed. I approached the Lord over and over and over again until He answered. He saw a repentant heart and fixed what was broken. I was a sex addict for almost 40 years. It started with abuse I suffered as a child and grew in intensity as the years went by.

I know who I am and I'm not ashamed of who I was. Without those failures and shortcomings I wouldn't be who I am today.

Believe me or don't believe me, I'm ok with either side of the coin you choose.

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" Rom 3:23

The problem of course that in man's eye some sins are worse than others. But Paul also wrote under inspiration, I believe:

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Rom 6:23

But what is past, is past. A person may as part of his testimony admit to certain specific sins, but the specifics are usually between him and God.
So long as they are past and they have been wiped away God won't bring up the subject again,

"This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more." Heb 10:16-17

So then how would this verse relate to us?

"Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is." I John 3:2

Is not now the time to start at least trying to be like Him and not remembering or asking about sins already not remembered by God?

I have a cousin that's gay, so I'm no stranger to this issue. I had friends in the military that were gay. We were still friends.

People call me homophobic because I'm not afraid to speak out on the issue.

As I said, I really don't care what people think or say about me. God knows the real story and He's the one I answer to.

The problem of course that in man's eye some sins are worse than others.

I've stated many times in these forums, "Sin is sin and the wages of sin is death". The only sin that is unlike any other is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.

There are no different degrees of sin.
