For sure! Grace is unimaginably awesome. What I love the best about His Grace is that it will ALWAYS be so much bigger than any sin I could commit. God knows who has a repentant heart, and He knows who does not. It is funny how man, still today, as in Adam's day will think they can hide from God.

I think this explains Jesus telling us that everyone is guilty of sin. Therefore, we should not judge our neighbors - we are all guilty of loving imperfectly - everyone except Jesus. It also explains Jesus’ call for us to be perfect like Him. We are called to love perfectly and this takes practice and help from the Holy Spirit who sanctifies us. Perfection occurs in Heaven of course, but it begins here on Earth

And the word Love in English is vague as. but other languages have many names for what type of Love they are on about. Latin is a good start on that point on Love and I think India has many more forms but Latin is the best to describe what is truly needed as a foundation.

I wish I could explain the conviction God laid upon me at that time. I'm amazed at those who make a simple confession of faith, walk down the church aisle, sign the book and shake the preacher's hand. How nice! How easy.

God reminded me of every rotten thing I'd ever done. Though not customary I suppose it seemed I had to go through a long long process of conviction and repentance before the Lord took me off of the Holy Spirit rack.

Over weeks of weejing and repentance He finally took away the horrible pressure and gave me newfound liberty. I can't even tell you what day or month I was saved. I thought I was flipping out since suddenly I didn't want to do all the things I'd done before. It's still a mystery after forty plus years.

Sin is a mystery and the washing away of those sins an even greater one!

1 Timothy 3:16 KJVS
And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

Ezekiel 34 tells me that God tiring of waiting upon the churches of men to head out into the hills to gather abandoned sheep, just gets up and goes Himself. Thank God for the hardest conviction.

After God applies His pressure you begin the transformation from lump of coal to diamond.

I enjoyed reading about your misery, kidding :-). What it did was cause me to revisit my own conversion years ago and my own misery. You said something that I thought was a good thought when you said "the mystery of sin and the washing away of it even a greater mystery" so true, it brought tears to my eyes thinking back when I walked down that long isle to confess my sin as a blown out young man, to God be the Glory, who could do such a thing I'm still amazed.

But, I find peace in knowing that God gave the law to Israel which they could not keep...so He gave them the blood of bulls and goats and a Day Of Atonement for them to get free of sin each year...foreshadowing The Lamb who was to come..'.once and for ALL. '

Therefore with this love thing...I have peace in being aware that none of us can keep it or attain to it ...not many see that what is called " The Sermon On The Mount " is an unreachable standard. ( yet they demand that it is the "Christian standard" )
Jesus even lifted the Law HIGHER that the Ten Commandments ..." If a man thinks it.." Jesus moved it from doing, to thinking or looking!!!!!!
Yet how many ( foolish) christians parrot- " But we must obey Jesus and keep His commands here."
They believe the Sermon is our standard to live by!!!!
Christ is our ONLY Standard to live by...and we cannot do it...it cannot be done! God knows that very well...
So 'us loving perfectly' ...yes, is not attainable within ourselves...but only credited to us, as we remain hidden in Him..who is our life.

And, just think...on top of that God gives US a reward of faithful service!! :)
That which we cannot do in our own strength... yet He blesses us as if we did!
But as Paul could say:-
" I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:....Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love His appearing."
Do we have The Faith? YES!! :)

Jesus did not do away with the Commandments at all he said, not one iota, but came to fulfil the Law, Grace overshadows the Law and it is not the Letter of the Law now, like it was before.
The Letter of the Law is like to dictate.
The Law was to bring the people to God and Holy Moses said of him to come.

So when Political Correctness comes into it's power totally and we have Socialism then Grace will be gone and the Letter of the Law comes into effect and we will have communism all mans works.
Under Political Correctness it becomes the god of mans works and no Grace but just depravity and madness.

All sin is not intentional!

Certainly every Christian has done and said things that afterwards horrified them. Why dido do that? Brother Paul had wrestlings just as we do. All sin is not premeditated, our flesh rises us we stumble upon the corpse we carry with us as Nahum says.

It is only those alive to Gods purposes who align themselves with God's standard. The desire to and the ability to keep them is given by God. It is the carnal man that is at enmity with God's Commandments.

There was no 'law' around when this occurred, he transgressed against God because he is the law, the law itself being spiritual in nature as Paul once stated. And no, I don't believe the law was "nailed to the cross" or done away with like many believe. Jesus Christ made it very clear that not one iota of the law passes away until heaven and earth passes away, which is the moment that sin itself and the knowledge of it (of "good and evil") will be "remembered no more".

I get what you are saying. I see the law as a written version of the nature of God, therefore synonymous. As to being no law when Lucifer first rebelled, don't forget that Christ said that Satan was a murderer from the beginning and the father of lies.
