Buddha never heard about Jesus. He left his palace to live in poverty, meditation, fasting, self-discipline, and seeking knowledge, understanding and truth. He sat beneath the Bodhi Tree defiantly determined to receive understanding and vowed that he would let his flesh and bones waste away and welcome that and death but not leave that spot until he found enlightenment. He did the best with what he had.

Buddha preached non-violence, gentleness, charity, self-discipline, detachment from possessions, detachment from materialism, and worldliness, humility, meekness and many of the virtues that Jesus preached. But he didn't accept Christ because he had never heard of the man, and wasn't a Jew, so didn't know about the God of Abraham. You seriously think he went to Hell??

Jesus said
  • Blessed are the meek: for they shall possess the land.
  • Blessed are they who mourn: for they shall be comforted.
  • Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall have their fill.
  • Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
  • Blessed are the clean of heart: for they shall see God.
  • Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

Buddha was poor in spirit, meek, he hungered and thirsted for righteousness, he was merciful, clean of heart, and a peacemaker. You seriously think he went to hell? What kind of God would be that cruel and unjust? So, if he didn't go to hell, that leaves only one option. He converted after death. If Buddha can convert after death, what makes you think Ghandi and so many other non-Christians can't?

Sister Faustina Kowalska claims she was told by Jesus that at the moment when a spirit leaves the body, there is a final illumination and spiritual awakening and the soul is given understanding and then the free option to accept or reject Christ. She said there are people who die seemingly unrepentant and non-Christian, and to the naked eye it seems all is lost, but unknownst to us, the soul goes through a final illumination, complete enlightenment, and accepts Jesus as Lord and savior.

I am 100% convinced that if Buddha met Christ they would see eye to eye. Buddha preached a lot of what Christ preached with a different choice of words and extolled many of the same virtues. I have no doubt that Buddha is in Heaven, which only leaves one option, he had a full conversion after death. If Buddha can have a conversion after death, what makes you think others can't??

You are assuming Buddha made a conversion after death, but it doesn't work that way.

All that is in the world is manifest from on high, both the good and the evil, both truth and untruth. Thus good without God after death, is still good, but also still without God...and therefore not in heaven. But good without God is not evil, and therefore does not go to hell. You see, lack of knowledge, whether good or evil, does not condemn. But it is knowledge that both saves and condemns, for which God has proclaimed, "My people perish for lack of knowledge." Nonetheless, those without knowledge perish.

But do not consider this a curse, for as you have quoted Christ: "Blessed are the meek", etc.. All life is a gift and a blessing from God, and it is the meek who embrace it with grace. But eternal live is the greater gift, and yet it only comes to those who are called.

So then, do not cures God for giving gifts whether large or small, but do as the meek do with thanksgiving.

You are basing buddha having a conversion after death on your words alone. The 'beattitudes' are not the way to be saved. Only faith in Christ will get you saved. Sister Kowalska can claim whatever she wants. If what the sister says goes against the Bible, then sister is wrong.

You are 100% full of bs. if you think buddha and Christ would agree. My how far Christianity has fallen to even ponder such a thought.

buddha can't have a conversion after death so your question is meaningless. And so is your testimony.

Since Buddha was not a Jew or a Christian, he will participate in none of the 3 Callings of God - The New Earth and the created New Heavens (New Jerusalem) are both Callings of Israel, only, and the 3rd is the Calling to the uncreated Heavenly Places, where Christ now sits at the right hand of God, which will be the abode of the saved Gentiles and those Jews today who believe in Jesus Christ - only - Compare Eph 1:20 (Christ), with Eph 2:6 (Us). Buddha will, therefore, be raised, although still dead, and go through the White Throne Judgment. If he passes, he'll be made alive and will spend eternity in a human body on the New Earth. If he doesn't pass, his dead body will be tossed into the lake of fire. Rev 20:11-15.

The New Earth will be occupied by those with a Calling (the Nation Israel) plus all that had no Calling, but passed the White Throne Judgment. The New Jerusalem by all those faithful OT saints, the 12, Abraham, Moses, and the all-Jewish church during Acts, plus those few Gentiles in the Acts church who were grafted into Israel and were therefore part of Israel. Heavenly Places (Heaven of Heavens, the Highest Heavens, Far Above All Heavens) will be occupied only by those Gentiles and Jews saved since about 63AD, when Israel ceased to exist, in God's eyes. This present day Gentile church will be resurrected directly into Heavenly Places in about 2063 and this parenthetical 2000 year period that never happened, as far as Israel is concerned, will be over. After that, Elijah will come and restore all things back to the time of Acts. Israel will be back on the scene and prophecy will once again be fulfilled.

Good points. God is merciful and He will have mercy on whom He wills. He doesn't need our approval for such. He IS sovereign. God is Lord over all peoples.

"For God so loved the world".

Since hell is a fake pagan concept unknown in the Biblical texts, Buddha certainly didn't go to that fake, non-existent place. He's still in the grave, along with everyone else that has ever died. No one has ever ascended into Heaven, except Christ - Jn 3:13. Buddha won't be in any of the 3 Calling resurrections, because he wasn't a Jew or a believer in Jesus Christ. Being good won't buy anyone anything. He'll go through the White Throne Judgment like everyone else that has no Calling of God.

The last statement you made is true. All who have no calling in Christ will go to the GWT judgment. But your premise is that there is no one written in the book of life on that day. Those whose names are written in the book of life on that day are the saved of the nations.

Did Jesus only die for the called in Christ....or the whole world?

It is appointed for man to die once, and then comes the judgement.
Hebrews 9:27

All mankind has been made known of the existence of God, from the beginning of time, before Jesus.
Romans 1:19-20

There is but one God.
Deuteronomy 6:4

Everyone who believes in the path that leads to God is saved.
Were not the o.t. Hebrews that had faith saved?

God has revealed Himself to all mankind.

P.S.

The bible does not teach any coversion after death.
TODAY is the day of salvation.
Choose ye whom you will serve.

After death it's too late.
What IDIOT wouldn't choose Jesus after death?
I could just see th scenario.

One dies that didn't believe. He wakes up again. He sees God and God asks him..."well, do you want to go to heaven and be saved?" And the nutjob says NO, I'd rather go to hell.
LOL

Buddha never heard about Jesus.

Neither did Abraham know of Gods Word, by the name Jesus.

Buddha preached non-violence, gentleness, charity, self-discipline, detachment from possessions, detachment from materialism, and worldliness, humility, meekness and many of the virtues that Jesus preached.

Many people do the same thing.

But he didn't accept Christ because he had never heard of the man, and wasn't a Jew, so didn't know about the God of Abraham. You seriously think he went to Hell??

Disagree with your premise.
Early men;
...Some regarded their EXISTANCE because of a higher power...Some did not...SAME today.

Time passing, men on earth for generations;
...Some regared their EXISTANCE by Particular higher powers...Some did not..SAME today.

Buddha did not believe mans EXISTANCE was caused by a higher power.

I do not believe a man could Reject "a particular" higher power, without having First heard of such particular higher power.

Your premise is, Buddha had not heard of Jesus. Again, neither did many early men.

Point being, had Buddha "heard of thee Almighty God"? Maybe, maybe not, I do not know, what his ears heard....however it is apparent IF he "Heard", he did not Accept.

Buddha, was a Philoshopher, teaching, his philosophy of what he believed, and WAY he lived (practicing his own philosophy) of HOW a man could reach perfection, via, His philosophy.

Jesus said
This Applies specifically To;
People WHO have Never "heard".
(NOT...heard and rejected...
NOT...heard, learned some, followed for awhile, Then REJECTED.)

That ^^Use to be very applicable world wide ... UNTIL Jesus sent men out To Spread His Word... To All the World.... for men To Hear...
And exercise their own Freewill to ACCEPT His Word or not.
... Today (as always), that verse Applies to babies/wee children Not given His Word. They are not held accountable for Not Accepting what they have not heard/ been told.
  • Buddha was poor in spirit, meek, he hungered and thirsted for righteousness, he was merciful, clean of heart, and a peacemaker. You seriously think he went to hell? To my knowledge Buddha preached no indication of God Almighty being "his" or other men's Creator, and taught and promoted to other men "His SAME " philosophical MIND-set.

Buddha, may have very well have been passive, promoting one to reach perfection through lifestyle.....and may very well have received blessings from God...as God Himself blesses men on this earth, who are with Him AND Against Him.

However, FOREVER Spiritual Life with the Lord God...IS a preparation made While a man IS still living ON this earth....Not After his body has accomplished its required Earthly death.

Again the Exception....If one has Not Heard...
That man IS "poor" In spirit, and not accountable.

Does that apply to Buddha?
Who Knows what a mans ears heard 2,000 + years ago?

God Bless,
Taken

Through Christ...not us deciding who Jesus died for.
To me it is elementary if you take these verses at face value...IMO

(1Ti 2:4-6) Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

(2Pe 3:9) The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

(2Co 5:14-15) For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.

(1Co 15:22) For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

Seems to me, that we accept this awesome FREE gift from our Creators hand, giving us the ability to "choose this day whom you will serve". Why do men have to complicate the simple?

We have to ask ourselves...what is God looking for? Some will say that good character is meaningless...since God is a religious God and wants us to get His name right or He will throw us in the fires of hell. ??

Jesus called sinners to repentance, not they who were doing well already. Jesus gets the lost sheep first.

God is indeed looking for good character. In fact the word faith..means "faithfulness" as well as what we understand to be faith (or don't quite understand yet).

So then the righteous live in their faithfulness.

Or..

The righteous (in God) live by HIS faith. (the faith of Jesus)

But either way we need to be faithful. Notice this..

It isn't enough to be just called and chosen...but ALSO to be faithful.

Rev. 17:14 "These will wage war against the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, because He is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those who are with Him are the called and chosen and faithful."

Of course we have to have faith, or all is for naught. God always looks for the faithful, because without it, it is impossible to please Him. Yes, Jesus died for all sinners-but if one thinks they have it all, and do not NEED a saviour because of their own works, then His sacrifice is not accepted by them, like the pharisees. One needs to repent, agree with God they are sinners in need of His Son and a changed heart. As long as one has breath left in them, they can be saved...once their carnal body takes its last breath...that person remains unsaved forever...this is what I have come to believe. :)

We must make a distinction between those who have heard the gospel and rejected it...and those who haven't yet heard it.

Once we become aware of something then it becomes our responsibility...but not before.
