Why? What's your point? That is interesting how you brought up
1 Corinthians 2:13-16 13This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words. 14The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit. 15The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments, 16for, "Who has known the mind of the LORD so as to instruct him?" But we have the mind of Christ.
Ask a mentally ill person how they can have such a mind while mentally ill.
Close enough. If you're saying that our life here continues to the other side, I agree.
As to hell, which I don't really like to discuss, I don't know for sure what it's like except for some few things Jesus said, but I think the evil spirits there are causing the torment to persons... not other persons. This is what I was referring to in my question. Sounds like you agree.
My point is that I never qualified for the mind of Christ, and there was no renewal of my broken psychotic mind. I could believe in Jesus as much as I liked, but it didn't give me a sound mind, in fact the reverse happened. Why? What's your point?
I, nor Paul, said it pertained to all who are of the Spirit. God has appointed each to His own purpose.
The actual Jesus portrayed in the Bible? Not really. Other than the Bible there's nothing much outside of it to corroborate it's stories. Also it's noteworthy to point out that the New Testament letter's rarely embellished on the 4 gospel accounts.djstav, Do you believe Jesus existed? The apostles?

I know where you're going here. But let me say that writer's lost in antiquity who we assume to be real, are not threatening us with some punishment for not believing in their philosophy.Do you believe that Abe Lincoln, Nietzsche, Shakespere etc. existed? Cesar Agustus? Nero? I could go on but, I think you get the idea.
Call it what you want, you still have to believe on some level. It's not hard to see that there is some major confusion as to what "believing in Christ" means.
It doesn't mean to even believe He existed as a man some years ago. It means to TRUST ourselves, our lives and our futures to Him, NOW, and TRUST that He is going to be able to orchestrate our lives for us.... rather than us doing it for ourselves.
Unfortunately, "at some level " is not what God asks of us. Remember that the Bible says even the Demons believe "at some level."Call it what you want, you still have to believe on some level.

OK, what does God ask concerning belief.Unfortunately, "at some level " is not what God asks of us. Remember that the Bible says even the Demons believe "at some level."
That is one of the things we have the Bible for..... to read it for a few years, and begin to see. Don't be so hard on yourself, Peter was with Jesus, day and night, for three years, and had still not come to a full understanding.OK, what does God ask concerning belief.

I've read the Bible over the last 19 year's, it doesn't help, it doesn't mend my mind. That is one of the things we have the Bible for..... to read it for a few years, and begin to see. Actually it's very hard to sustain belief without evidence to follow it.He asks that you believe. Not hard.

That would be stupid to believe what I've said without looking at the fact's first.Sounds impressive, yet is here say evidence. Like everyone is supposed to believe you who rejects God and Jesus Christ. Sounds good though.
