Heres an Interesting one I had today. I was in an empty classroom/auditorium and many of the desks were askew. I started arranging them and eventually there were two column's of desks on the left of the room facing the front left corner of the room. There was also a row or two facing the front but skewed slightly to the right.

By this time the class was full of people and they had started a test. I was still arranging desks, but after the test started I stopped and only arranged my own desk with the row facing the front.

I grabbed a test from a pile of other packets. Opening the test packet I was pleased to see the questions were personalized based on something I had said earlier, perhaps it was taken from my application for joining the school. I was then prepared to defend my statements from the scriptures.

It is interesting.

The "school" probably represents this site, with you arranging the chairs in an orderly fashion. We have several different doctrinal groups here, yet an "order" is kept nonetheless. The row to the left are members who espouse false doctrines. They are "facing" the left side, which equates them with being on an unjust side when judgment comes (Matthew 25:31-46). The "test" will be on what we "said"/taught in this life, and whether it can truly be backed up by scripture or not.

Well its obious the teacher of the class is Jesus, and I was trying to arrange the desks to face him. Then there is the scripture about veering to the right or the left. There is also the one about God judging people by their own words. I had also stopped arranging desks out of concern for myself, workout your own salvation with fear and trembling.

is an...interesting concept, that you might flesh out a bit more, even characterize in a word or two, maybe get some others to characterize for you; what kind of test is that iow

It was two essay questions, but unfortunately I can't remember what it said exactly. The question was to simply justify my position. What I had said was already biblical and would be easy to prove from the scriptures.

This came to mind for me as well, but it is slightly augmented by the context. It is not just what we said, but in the context of what we learned "in school."

so i'm curious if you had any other emotions besides like relief or joy going on, especially at the end?
any angst?

None, I was at first worried about the test but when I actually read the questions I was relieved to see it would be easy. I had in mind six arguements to make for the first question.

The truth is fairly easy to back up from scripture (so long as it hasn't been twisted), so there wouldn't be any anxiety involved for those who had taught it accurately.

i would describe this test scenario to others, and get feedback on what a test like this should actually be deemed, termed, whatever
even in your mind, which is what matters here i guess, what it symbolizes to you.
If i told you i was taking a test that seemed to be prepared from a thesis i had already given, how would you characterize this test?

i perceive very little anxiety however from the deceived, either, so i don't know if that is the best indicator or not. I have yet to hear a "truth" that cannot be backed up with Scripture, how bout you. Believers sing "when we all get to heaven" with much confidence, seems to me

Well, they have very little anxiety now, but they will when they have to support what they did with God's word when they stand before Him. Different matter altogether, although your point makes one think. Has me longing for judgment day, to tell you the truth. The lies are so many, and they are constantly being presented, such that it gets very distressing.

I agree. That's because the judgment hasn't come yet (i.e. they haven't had to take "the test")

Lets play a little game, to carry out the scenario like in this dream. To start let me ask you what is your purpose on this site.

This could take a lot of room so if you want to play along please make a new topic.

If I could have, I would have "liked" that one twice. I need to bounce out, but I'll be interested to read that thread later.

I had a lucid dream two nights ago and was approached by a friend who died two years ago. She didnt say anthing prophetic - she just wanted to sit with me in the grass in a sunny field - I miss her

I think houses represent people. Your house is yourself - exploring your house is a search for your True Self - expolring other people’s houses is a search for a True Self connection
