I just finished a new study on why I believe the second coming of the Messiah is just under 8 years away from today. Although no one knows the day nor the hour, we can come to know the year, just as the Israelites knew the year of their own deliverance, since Abraham was told "your descendants shall be afflicted 400 years". My research is based on counting the known genealogies beginning from Adam, also certain timelines of the scriptures, like the entrance of the Israelites into Egypt, and their exodus (taking into account several misconceptions of when the 430 and 400 year timelines to the exodus of Israel from Egypt actually began), also when the first temple was constructed, then the timelines of the kings of Judah (taking into account coregencies), then the 490 years prophecy of Daniel, then the timeline from the baptism of the Messiah to today, also the Jubilee cycles of the Torah, also the 1,290+1335 years of Daniel and how they relate to the Dome of the Rock and the time of the end, and ultimately, why the Messiah would indeed come on a Year 6000 and why his rulership is one thousand years on earth. I have also converted the calculated years since the beginning into Gregorian years, where it can be seen that the calculated Gregorian year of those events do indeed line up with the approximate known year of those events by experts. When the Year of the Second Coming Will Be, the Millennial Shabbat of the Year 6000 YB, Jubilees, and the 1290+1335 Days of Daniel | Wisdom of God .
biloqewu,

Has the Lord not come to you, and is He not now with you?

If you say, Yes, and know the day and the hour...your witness is good. But if you say, Yes, but I believe a day some eight years in the future is a better day than the day He came to you...your witness is false. For, if you say that He has first gone to the Father and has since come to you, He has indeed returned, but you have denied Him in spirit - which is His only return, for He Himself said, "the world will see me no more."

But if you will not deny Him, understand: The only day and hour that no man knows, is that day and hour of his own death. But some will say, that a condemned man indeed knows, and according to the dead, they are correct. However, God is not the god of the dead, but of the living. Thus, the day and hour is not that day of physical death, but that day and hour which no one knows is rather when one is born again of the spirit of God.

Therefore, it is for this reason that I have asked you if He has come to you. That you might change course and give a good and faithful witness to the truth.

You can keep repeating the same old line but that does not make it right.

Biblical account.

Genesis 11:26: - When Terah had lived seventy years, he became the father of Abram, Nahor, and Haran.

The Book of jasher’s account

Jasher 7:50-51: - 50And Terah took a wife and her name was Amthelo the daughter of Cornebo; and the wife of Terah conceived and bare him a son in those days. 51Terah was seventy years old when he begat him, and Terah called the name of his son that was born to him Abram, because the king had raised him in those days, and dignified him above all his princes that were with him.

Jasher 8: - 1And it was in the night that Abram was born, that all the servants of Terah, and all the wise men of Nimrod, and his conjurors came and ate and drank in the house of Terah, and they rejoiced with him on that night. 2And when all the wise men and conjurors went out from the house of Terah, they lifted up their eyes toward heaven that night to look at the stars, and they saw, and behold one very large star came from the east and ran in the heavens, and he swallowed up the four stars from the four sides of the heavens.

3And all the wise men of the king and his conjurors were astonished at the sight, and the sages understood this matter, and they knew its import. 4And they said to each other, “This only betokens the child that has been born to Terah this night, who will grow up and be fruitful, and multiply, and possess all the earth, he and his children for ever, and he and his seed will slay great kings, and inherit their lands.”

5And the wise men and conjurors went home that night, and in the morning all these wise men and conjurors rose up early and assembled in an appointed house. 6And they spoke and said to each other, “Behold the sight that we saw last night is hidden from the king, it has not been made known to him. 7And should this thing get known to the king in the latter days, he will say to us, ‘Why have you concealed this matter from me,’ and then we shall all suffer death; therefore, now let us go and tell the king the sight which we saw, and the interpretation thereof, and we shall then remain clear.”

8And they did so, and they all went to the king and bowed down to him to the ground, and they said, “May the king live, may the king live. 9We heard that a son was born to Terah the son of Nahor, the prince of thy host, and we yesternight came to his house, and we ate and drank and rejoiced with him that night. 10And when thy servants went out from the house of Terah, to go to our respective homes to abide there for the night, we lifted up our eyes to heaven, and we saw a great star coming from the east, and the same star ran with great speed, and swallowed up four great stars, from the four sides of the heavens. 11And thy servants were astonished at the sight which we saw, and were greatly terrified, and we made our judgment upon the sight, and knew by our wisdom the proper interpretation thereof, that this thing applies to the child that is born to Terah, who will grow up and multiply greatly, and become powerful, and kill all the kings of the earth, and inherit all their lands, he and his seed forever.

“12And now our lord and king, behold we have truly acquainted thee with what we have seen concerning this child. 13If it seemeth good to the king to give his father value for this child, we will slay him before he shall grow up and increase in the land, and his evil increase against us, that we and our children perish through his evil.”

14And the king heard their words and they seemed good in his sight, and he sent and called for Terah, and Terah came before the king. 15And the king said to Terah, “I have been told that a son was yesternight born to thee, and after this manner was observed in the heavens at his birth. 16And now therefore give me the child, that we may slay him before his evil springs up against us, and I will give thee for his value, thy house full of silver and gold.”

17And Terah answered the king and said to him: “My Lord and king, I have heard thy words, and thy servant shall do all that his king desireth. 18But my lord and king, I will tell thee what happened to me yesternight, that I may see what advice the king will give his servant, and then I will answer the king upon what he has just spoken;” and the king said, “Speak.”

19And Terah said to the king, “Ayon, son of Mored, came to me yesternight, saying, ‘20Give unto me the great and beautiful horse that the king gave thee, and I will give thee silver and gold, and straw and provender for its value;’ and I said to him, ‘Wait till I see the king concerning thy words, and behold whatever the king saith, that will I do.’ 21And now my lord and king, behold I have made this thing known to thee, and the advice which my king will give unto his servant, that will I follow.”

22And the king heard the words of Terah, and his anger was kindled, and he considered him in the light of a fool. 23And the king answered Terah, and he said to him, “Art thou so silly, ignorant, or deficient in understanding, to do this thing, to give thy beautiful horse for silver and gold or even for straw and provender? 24Art thou so short of silver and gold, that thou shouldst do this thing, because thou canst not obtain straw and provender to feed thy horse? and what is silver and gold to thee, or straw and provender, that thou shouldst give away that fine horse which I gave thee, like which there is none to be had on the whole earth?”

25And the king left off speaking, and Terah answered the king, saying, “Like unto this has the king spoken to his servant; 26I beseech thee, my lord and king, what is this which thou didst say unto me, saying, Give thy son that we may slay him, and I will give thee silver and gold for his value; what shall I do with silver and gold after the death of my son? Who shall inherit me? Surely then at my death, the silver and gold will return to my king who gave it.”

27And when the king heard the words of Terah, and the parable which he brought concerning the king, it grieved him greatly and he was vexed at this thing, and his anger burned within him.

28And Terah saw that the anger of the king was kindled against him, and he answered the king, saying, “All that I have is in the king's power; whatever the king desireth to do to his servant, that let him do, yea, even my son, he is in the king's power, without value in exchange, he and his two brothers that are older than he.”

29And the king said to Terah, “No, but I will purchase thy younger son for a price.”

30And Terah answered the king, saying, “I beseech thee my lord and king to let thy servant speak a word before thee, and let the king hear the word of his servant,” and Terah said, “Let my king give me three days' time till I consider this matter within myself, and consult with my family concerning the words of my king;” and he pressed the king greatly to agree to this. 31And the king hearkened to Terah, and he did so and he gave him three days' time, and Terah went out from the king's presence, and he came home to his family and spoke to them all the words of the king; and the people were greatly afraid.

32And it was in the third day that the king sent to Terah, saying, “Send me thy son for a price as I spoke to thee; and shouldst thou not do this, I will send and slay all thou hast in thy house, so that thou shalt not even have a dog remaining.’

33And Terah hastened, (as the thing was urgent from the king), and he took a child from one of his servants, which his handmaid had born to him that day, and Terah brought the child to the king and received value for him. 34And the Lord was with Terah in this matter, that Nimrod might not cause Abram's death, and the king took the child from Terah and with all his might dashed his head to the ground, for he thought it had been Abram; and this was concealed from him from that day, and it was forgotten by the king, as it was the will of Providence not to suffer Abram's death.

35And Terah took Abram his son secretly, together with his mother and nurse, and he concealed them in a cave, and he brought them their provisions monthly. 36And the Lord was with Abram in the cave and he grew up, and Abram was in the cave ten years, and the king and his princes, soothsayers and sages, thought that the king had killed Abram

Now I am not saying that the Book of Jasher is better than the Bible. What I am saying is that the Book of Jasher confirms how old Terah was when Abram was born.

The book of Jasher is NOT correct, the Torah is correct, AGAIN, I WILL REPEAT,

Terah took Abram his son and Lot the son of Haran, his grandson, and Sarai his daughter-in-law, his son Abram’s wife, and they went forth together from Ur of the Chaldeans to go into the land of Canaan, but when they came to Haran, they settled there.
The days of Terah were 205 years, and Terah died in Haran
. (Genesis 11:31-32)

So Abram went, as Yehovah had told him, and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran. (Genesis 12:4)

Why are you so stubborn and reject what the Torah says?

The Book of Jasher also provides the following information: -

The book of Jasher 22: 31- 34: - 31And Terah, father of Nahor and Abraham, went and took another wife in his old age, and her name was Pelilah, and she conceived and bare him a son and he called his name Zoba. 32And Terah lived twenty-five years after he begat Zoba. 33And Terah died in that year, that is in the thirty-fifth year of the birth of Isaac son of Abraham. 34And the days of Terah were two hundred and five years, and he was buried in Haran.

This information is in line with the Biblical Account. Strange that.

Nope. Impossible. This is what the Torah says,

Do you people not understand that 205 - 75 = 130? There is a reason why the Book of Jasher is not included in the canon of the scriptures. What the Torah says is the truth, not what the Book of Jasher says.

One cannot arbitrarily replace days with years. The days mentioned by Daniel are days, and there is sufficient evidence to confirm this.

And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; [literally "evenings and mornings"] then shall the sanctuary be cleansed. (Dan 8:14).

And the vision of the evening and the morning which was told is true: wherefore shut thou up the vision; for it shall be for many days. [לְיָמִ֥ים
(le·ya·mim) = days]
(Dan 8:26)

And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days. (Dan 12:11) [יָמִ֕ים אֶ֖לֶף מָאתַ֥יִם וְתִשְׁעִֽים׃
= yamim elep matayim wetisim]

Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.

Just as each of the days of the 70 weeks of Daniel were literal years, 490 literal years, so were the other prophetic days. This is obvious.

If I can read the Torah and come to the same conclusion that Terah died 60 years after Abram left Haran when he was 75 years old, then I can demonstrate that the Book of Jasher is in agreement with the Bible on these issues. With that being said, the Book of Jasher is not always in agreement with the bible. For that matter you are not in agreement with all of the Bible, because you pick and chose which parts of the Bible you accept as being true. You and the 1874 harvest guy have much in common in that you both have strange beliefs and und,

But Terah did not die after Abraham left Haran, Terah died in Haran, AND THEN Abraham left Haran after his father died,

And Stephen said: “Brothers and fathers, hear me. The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham when he was in Mesopotamia, before he lived in Haran, and said to him, ‘Go out from your land and from your kindred and go into the land that I will show you.’ THEN HE WENT OUT FROM THE LAND OF THE CHALDEANS AND LIVED IN HARAN. AND AFTER HIS FATHER DIED, GOD REMOVED HIM FROM THERE into this land in which you are now living. Yet he gave him no inheritance in it, not even a foot’s length, but promised to give it to him as a possession and to his seed after him, though he had no child. And God spoke to this effect—that his seed would be sojourners in a land belonging to others, would be enslaved and afflicted four hundred years. (Acts 7:2-6)

No...it is based on your interpretation of the scriptures which are riddled in parables. Which I have explained as the perspective of the dead verses the living, which are gravely different. But I have given you the meaning in spirit from the living God...if you can receive it.

And Stephen said: “Brothers and fathers, hear me. As such, Terah died in Haran when he was 205, which is when Abraham was 75, when is then when he left Haran after the death of his father,

Terah took Abram his son and Lot the son of Haran, his grandson, and Sarai his daughter-in-law, his son Abram’s wife, and they went forth together from Ur of the Chaldeans to go into the land of Canaan, but when they came to Haran, they settled there.
The days of Terah were 205 years, and Terah died in Haran. (Genesis 11:31-32)

So Abram went, as Yehovah had told him, and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran. (Genesis 12:4)

You're ignoring what the Torah and the apostles said, because you have your own suppositions contrary to what they said.

So, if we consider Genesis 11:31-32, as you suggest there is no connecting information as to when Abram left Haran. What we are told is that Terah died in Haran. That is to say, Terah did not travel down to Abram to be with his son and to live with him.

You also reference Genesis 12:1-9 which is contain within the information of the story of Abram and Lot leaving Haran with their flocks, herds and individual house hold and servants. In this account there is no mention of Terah having died, only that Abram was to get of from his father's house. To fulfil this portion of God's words to Abram, then Abram had to leave Haran while Terah was still alive, otherwise he would not have left his father's house, it would have become Nahor's house through inheritance because as you suggest, Nahor was the oldest living son.

In the Acts 7 account as told by Stephen, we are told that Abraham left Haran after his father, and by custom that would have included Noah, Noah had died. Now, which portion of the scriptures should we believe, should I say you believe. Do we discount both as they both what Stephen said and what is recorded in Genesis seem to contradict each other. If we believe that the Genesis genealogy and chronology is correct, then
the following patriarchs after Noah had died before Abram had left Ur, Peleg and Nahor, who both died a year or two before Abram had left Ur.
Then if we consider the time that Abram lived in Haran, only one patriarch died while Abram was living in Haran, and that was Noah. Noah was by the cultural norms considered to be the Father of Abraham.

With Reu dying around 2 years after Abram had left Haran and Serug dying shortly after Isaac was born. Terah died 60 years after Abraham had left Haran and Arachshad died 74 after but before Jacob was born to Isaac.

Abraham, Shelak, Shem and Eber all died after the birth of Jacob 100, 104, 136, and 165 years respectively after Abraham had left Haran.

Now you can dispute the above facts because of the manner in which you are understanding the scriptures with your claim that Terah had died before Abraham had left Haran, but that is the manner in which you are choosing to force the Bible to match your understanding.

Now the question is what parts of the Bible do I have to discount as being "discredited" because of your method of interpretation.

Shalom

What of it? Do you see anyone who is able stand against the Lamb?
My point was that when He returns, every eye shall see Him (Revelation 1:7). Therefore the scripture that was quoted was taken out of context (I went back and put the thing in question in larger print in his quote for you).

Indeed, every eye will see Him.

But what exactly are you trying to say...that Jesus misspoke in saying "the world will see me no more?"

My point, is that both passages are true, but his understanding of them (and apparently your's) cannot be reconciled by using the one passage to prove your misinterpretation of them.

as you suggest there is no connecting information as to when Abram left Haran. What we are told is that Terah died in Haran. That is to say, Terah did not travel down to Abram to be with his son and to live with him.

Did you not read Genesis 11:31 carefully?

TERAH TOOK ABRAM his son and Lot the son of Haran, his grandson, and Sarai his daughter-in-law, his son Abram’s wife, AND THEY WENT FORTH TOGETHER FROM UR OF THE CHALDEANS to go into the land of Canaan, BUT WHEN THEY CAME TO HARAN, THEY SETTLED THERE. (Genesis 11:32)

TERAH AND ABRAM WENT TO HARAN TOGETHER. Then, Terah died in Haran after they settled in Haran, which is when Terah was 205,

The days of Terah were 205 years, and Terah died in Haran. (Genesis 11:32)

Which was when Abram was 75,

So Abram went, as the LORD had told him, and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran. (Genesis 12:4)

Which is when Abram then departed from Haran, AFTER HIS FATHER DIED THERE,

As such, the 430 year countdown did not begin when Jacob entered Egypt, nor when Isaac was born, nor when Abram lived in Haran, but when Abram lived in Ur of the Chaldeans, which is when the promise was first made to Abram,

Now Yehovah had said to Abram, “Go from your country and your kindred and your father’s house to the land that I will show you. And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and him who curses you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” (Genesis 12:1-6)

And he said to him, “I am Yehovah who brought you out from Ur of the Chaldeans to give you this land to possess.” (Genesis 15:7)

You are Yehovah, the God who chose Abram and brought him out of Ur of the Chaldeans and gave him the name Abraham. (Nehemiah 9:7)

Now the promises were made to Abraham and to his seed. It does not say, “And to seeds,” referring to many, but referring to one, “And to your seed,” who is the Messiah. This is what I mean: the law, which came 430 years afterward, does not annul a covenant previously ratified by God, so as to make the promise void.
(Galatians 3:16-17)

And the sojourning of the children of Israel, who lived in Egypt and Canaan, was four hundred and thirty years. (Exodus 12:40)

Which implies the 430 year countdown began when he was 70 years old, before his departure from Haran at age 75. How do we know this? Because the 400 year countdown began when Abraham was 100, when Isaac was born, who was the first descendant of Abraham to be a sojourner, leading up to the same year of the exodus of Israel that the 430 countdown goes to, which implies the 430 year countdown began when Abram was 70, 5 years prior to when they were living in Haran, temporarily, until his father died, to then fulfill "leave your father's house", and that is the year that Abram then departed to Canaan.

What I have done is taken every scripture on this topic and harmonized everything. You, on the other hand, have presuppositions contrary to scripture, and refuse to understand, because you don't want to, for whatever reasons. It is obvious that I am right, because it is the only logical explanation to explain every passage about this matter. I have no problem believing yay or nay, it makes no difference to me, but what I care about is knowing the actual truth. What I am telling you is the truth.

So if someone else has taken every scripture on this topic and harmonized everything, (which is a very new age world type of thing to do), and they come to a very different conclusion, then because their conclusion is different to yours and does not discredit any portion of the scriptures by ignoring any passages that does not fit your scenario of what happened, then they are automatically wrong, because you say so and believe that you are telling "God's" truth.

So far I am seeing that you have picked and chosen the portions of the scriptures that you will believe and also those passages you do not believe because those passages do not fit your understanding of the events and life of Terah, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob as well as their descendants.

Have you not read in the bible that there were ten descendant generations of Israelites born in Egypt as recorded for one of the tribes of Israel? How do you harmonize this scriptural passage to fit your understanding of the story of Israel?

I can only tell you the truth of the matter. I cannot force you to change your mind as to what is true. May the Lord reveal to you His truth in this matter.

I am right because everything I said is backed by scripture and does not contradict scripture....... so....... I am right. You can choose to believe me, or not. The choice is yours.

If you are right then you would not substitute years for days. BIG DIFFERENCE. I already showed you that the Hebrew text of Daniel does not allow you to take such liberties.

The 490 weeks prophecy proves days are literal years. There is no denying it.
