well we have an impression here, and a folklore, that likely is not even very close to reality. Imo we read "give yourself to public reading of the Scripture" but that surely meant something completely diff to Paul. For one we think "Bible" when we read "Scripture" there but that is not how Paul defined "Scripture" anyway, and that's not what the v says, it says "writing."
"All writing is profitable for" etcetc, bearing in mind that fiction was not developed nor disseminated yet, and that ppl got stoned to death for lying back then. This pov also clarifies the Exodus story, as we know that a million plus Hebrews did not literally leave Rahab. "God of the vowel people" splains better than I could tho I guess.
Anyway Paul might have been um completely diff than what we think, and there is ample reason to believe that Saul/Paul (of "Tarsus" no less lol, a big flashing neon sign) was quickly and widely disseminated among a certain let's say "underground" population. The fall of Rome was surely anticipated right, but we don't consider this either?
Paul was declared innocent of anything that deserved death even though he had committed several capitol offenses and was on the run? And there are other deliberate anomalies that bring the story together too I guess, meant to tail with the Christ story, also "guilty" but declared innocent, etc
