Yes. The Bible is quite clear on the matter of Spirit baptism--born not of corruptible seed--Adam's--but of incorruptible--the seed of God. A baby or young child is incapable of the faith that is required for Spirit baptism. We are converted through the word of God which would be babble to a baby. "Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God." (Romans 10:17)
I Jn 4:7: “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God” He who is a friend to the world is an enemy of God's and, in fact, hates God. But those who love God love what He loves.
I Jn 5:1: “Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ [Messiah] is born of God, and everyone who loves Him who begot also loves him who is begotten of Him.” Whoever believes that Jesus is the Messiah of Israel, is born of God, and if you love God, you will love Jesus. Jesus told the Pharisees and Sadducees that if they really WERE children of Abraham, they would know who He was.
I Jn 5:4: “ For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world-- our faith” The new godly nature, born from the spirit of God causes our affections to change toward God. We now love Him.
I Jn 3:9 Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God. ” Whoever has been born of God does not live a life of sin--how can he? His old nature, which delighted in sin, has been replaced by a new nature which despises sin--just as God does. I once heard the testimony of a man who had been into gambling and drinking before his conversion. He said that even though he knew it was sinful, he had no intention of quitting either sin when he gave his life to Christ. But, he laughed that God had other plans for him and caused him to view both vices as distasteful. He said he felt he had been on the verge of alcoholism and his wife had left him because he lost their house through his gambling debts. But now he was sober and in his right mind and praised God for changing him. (His wife came back to him when she realized he really had changed through the power of God.)
I Jn 5:18: “We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him.” We are no longer slaves to sin but now servants of righteousness.
