The SDA do away with the Millennial Kingdom.
I am surprised that while the SDA church rejects Catholic teaching and most of Protestant teaching, they go along with this nonsense about the papacy as the Antichrist (Protestant) and Amillennialism (Catholic).

SSDAs are not amills. In fact, at a time in the 19th century when everyone else was expecting a 1000 years of peace and prosperity as a direct result of the industrial revolution, Adventists were pretty much on their own denying such a possibility teaching that there is only one place for the millennium to begin... At the second coming. The difference is that we accept scripture which teaches we meet the Lord in the air at the second coming, and return with Him at the end of the 1000 years.

And we don't teach either of those things because summertime else happens to, like protestants or Catholics, or EGW, regardless of what topic we are talking about. Our pioneers were Bible students. And all our beliefs are based on scripture... Even the investigative judgement/2300 year/1844 teaching. Scripture. And if people truly wanted to criticise that doctrine, they would at the very least learn what we actually base it on rather than parroting ad hominens. Like CI does constantly repeating mindless accusations re EGW.

The SDA do away with the Millennial Kingdom. They do not believe in the literal rule of Christ on the earth in Jerusalem.
Correct. Sort of. We do away with the idea that anyone could successfully eke out a lifestyle of any lasting quality and substance in an environment totally devoid of life giving sustaining essentials. Such as where would you grow food on a planet devastated by nuclear war and nuclear waste from destroyed nuclear power plants?
The kingdom we are very much a part of.. It simply isn't here.

that is a deflection and a way to avoid CI, not an answer
or lemme rephrase, that is a fabulous answer, but not the way you mean it
feel free to just ignore this post too if you like, i would much rather not get tagged ty

and a nice eve to you too ok
I find nothing in the Bible to say I am not.
not...having a nice evening? Sorry? Not tagging me? Not...ignoring my post? what?

oh, do you mean "not saved?" I guess. hmm, funny little deflection there, too, don't you think?
Don't you have any little kids, to hear what worm sounds like, CI?
or wait, nevermind that one, but earlier, a post or two ago, when I suggested you were avoiding answering, did you agree? at the time? oh duh, there it is in the top quote lol. Um, a point being that how do you know if you are not just avoiding or going deaf at those places in the Bible, like you are doing here with me, cherry-picking replies, avoiding all the pertinent ones I am asking imo, in order to fwd your opinion, which don't get me wrong no sin in that ok, you don't owe me anything, even a simple explanation of how you came to believe that you are irrevocably "saved," by which you mean "going to become an immortal bc I said the right spell," right, even though you would put it diff I guess. but you don't find anything in the Bible that suggests you might not be lol, I forgot. Not be putting it differently, I mean. Bc testifying of ourself is what we Christians are even encouraged to do huh. Ok, so you are sayed then, fine i won't argue. Um, OSAS i guess too right? Keep Looking Up i already saw i think, last night? That kingdom better come by observation and right quick, or God will have some splaining to do huh?

Anyway, one thing for sure, yesterday was much better than today, and tomorrow will be much better than today too, right.
Today is basically the only part that sucks, huh?

one thing i'm pretty sure of, you can hide in a bellcurve, but you cant hide a spike I guess, we have reporters scouring the globe looking for them.
anyway, I guess at least that hope of salvation one, you don't have to read that one any more I guess, you're over that hump whew

That reference to the elect must not be confused with the truth that they can still fall into sin, return to the world, the vomit, and the mire, and lose their salvation as a result of renewed evil habits and thence to unbelief. The above reference relates to deception from false teachers. There will come a time I believe when a small remnant of God's people are so united in and with Christ, the Way, Truth, and Life, that they can not be deceived, so long as they continue to trust only in God's word as the foundation of their faith and practice. In other words, I see that word if/whether being conditional on faith in God's promises and His word. If isn't saying it is not possible...it is saying it is possible, unless...
Now that being said, I am not offering a translation or lexicon explanation of that verse...it is my own understanding based on my knowledge of how God works...how He has worked in my life and what I understand re His character and His purposes for man. We are ultimately saved by faith...and only faith...and the just (elect) shall live by faith. God places His word above every other consideration. If His word isn't believed...His promises not trusted...we fall. By not believing and trusting in His word, we call Him a liar and question His character. Those wholly and fully relying on , believing in, trusting in, depending on, the word/promises of God will never be deceived.

2Pe 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
2Pe 3:12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

Isa51:6 Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished.

Isa 34:4 And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll: and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falleth off from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree.

Revel.20:7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.

I am willing to be corrected on this, but I see in the above two separate events. The first at Christ's coming at the time of the general resurrection, the second (the verses in Revelations) referring to the repopulation of the earth at the close of the 1000 years. I am sure you will find plenty in that to disagree with. Everyone else does. I mean, for a start you have difficulty with the second coming at all huh.
ok, ty

I honestly have on idea what you're talking about. Any of this. And believe me, I tried...read it several times.
no prob, i'll pull out some pertinent ones, and you can tell me what you are not understanding I guess, no biggie, no hurry,
who is "we" there, Naomi? This is not a rhetorical Q

am i in that we

so then many will cry LordLord et al, i know you're going to get infested with wolves as soon as i leave, you make them twice the sons of hell you are, these are all just bogus, or what?

See i mean those too are Biblical teachings right?

So what does that do to your belief up there? How does that change that belief, what i just Quoted. Again, this is not a rhetorical Q, if we are having a convo i need a reply to that.

Which an aside here if you believe Scripture at few there are then assuming you are acquainted with roughly a million ppl, you will be acquainted with approx one of the other "we" right, one

What? Who on earth is Dr Scribe, or Lex? Once again...I have no clue.....
ah, then they are not important for you I think, which is a lot of the reason I write that way tbh. You have um children, might be saved in childbirth, might be an anus talking to a hand here too, so to speak right? :D
anyway, Dr Scribe is the guy who makes translations, and Lex is their accuser I guess, lexicon.

but let's get one thing straight anyway imo; none of that will change the fact that you are going up to heaven after you have died, right?
more knowledge or special knowledge or secret knowledge is not part of the program I guess, at least that's my understanding
little kids understand it better than I do, that's for sure

IDK. Is the Bible filled with examples of a singular man used to represent a multitude of people?
  • "Jacob" referring to God's chosen
  • "Israel" referring to God's chosen
  • "Judah" referring to the southern kingdom
  • "Dan", "Ephraim", "Gad", etc. referring to entire tribes
  • "Edom" and "Moab" referring to entire kingdoms
But let Paul say "man of sin" or "he" when talking about the Antichrist and the Restrainer and Biblical precedent gets tossed out the window. If it's true that the Antichrist had to arise among the Ten Horns as the "Little Horn", that means the timing of the Antichrist HAD to have taken place way back in history, which means whatever was restraining the rise of it had to be back in history. But thanks to the proliferation of Jesuit Futurism, people allow a couple of references like "man" and "he" to force the Antichrist into the future and thus "gap" theories and the like have to be invented to accommodate things.

I have no problem with people saying they disagree, but to say Historicism is not Biblical is just plain "ignant" as we say in the South LOL

And, during John's time, I tend to believe Caesar Nero was the "restrainer"...spoken as such by John perhaps to avoid persecution if he uses Nero's name outright? So, could there be a connection between the office, or title of "Caesar" and Bishop of Rome, or the papacy?
This is what the Jesuits had to say about the Bible during the Reformation when the great Protestant Reformers were using it to expose the papacy as the Antichrist to the entire Christian world:

"Then the Bible, that serpent which - with head erect and eyes flashing with fire - threatens us with its venom as it trails upon the ground, shall be changed into a rod as soon as we are able to seize it. For three centuries past, this cruel asp has left us no repose; you well know with what folds it entwines us adn with what fangs it gnaws us."
The Protestant Textus Receptus Greek NT Bible had wreaked havoc against the false MSS of the papacy and for "three centuries" - from the 1500s to the 1800s - the papacy was continuously on the ropes with people continuing to abandon the "Church" for the light of Protestantism. But, the mid-1800s saw the "discovery" of the "Codex Sinaiticus", a totally corrupt Greek MSS believed by many scholars who haven't drunk the Koolaid to be a surviving copy of Constantine's "Ecumenical Bible" which was commissioned as a means to unite his empire of Christians and pagans into one ecumenical soup - these Bibles repeatedly attacked the Divinity of Christ, the necessity of blood atonement, etc.
This Codex, along with a handful of other really old MSS, was used to bring about what the Jesuits had hoped for (and actually helped to create): a rival to the Textus Receptus known as the "Critical Text", which became a major foundational pillar for just about every single NT English translation after the 20th century. The papacy BANNED the Bible in the past by penalty of death, but now is perfectly happy for people to read anything based on the Critical Text.

Not saying Christ can't be found in the newer translatoins, but there's def a safer alternative.

I can (sadly) picture a day when the governments seizes all of our bibles and replaces them with the "Codex Sinaiticus".
Went to a bible study years back and it was on Ecumenism. As the years have passed, I see it coming on the horizon more and more. And, I know Christians who just love to watch some of these charlatans on TV...they will follow them right over a cliff as, they too are all over this kumbaya religion...how can anyone think we serve the same God as these other false religions? SMH

That to puzzle me until I learned to speak of a descendent ruling on the throne of an ancestor was to say the ancestor was ruling.

Yes, there will be others assisting a government, the Bible identifies them as the 144,000, resurrected martyrs of the tribulation and the bride of Christ.

It takes a lot of people to run the planet politically and religiously.

Yes. Jeremiah 23:5 speaks of a righteous descendant of David ruling over the future Kingdom (also, see Jeremiah 30:9 which speaks of God raising David as their King). Ezekiel 37:24 states: "My servant David will be king over them..." It is not clear whether it is Jesus who is being referenced or another of David's descendants (or possibly even a raised David himself in a literal reading). Even at the Jerusalem council, James quotes Amos 9:11-12 (see Acts 15:16-18) which speaks of the restoration of the "fallen house of David"--that He would "rebuild its ruins...so that the rest of humanity might seek the Lord..." It is clear that the rule of Christ will replace all of the previous ungodly empires of the Babylonians, the Medo-Persians, the Greeks and the Romans.

In my opinion, the entire world is still being ruled by the "Roman Empire" through the RCC. I believe that is what JFK was speaking of when he made his famous speech about "being opposed around the world" by a covert and ruthless international conspiracy. Some commenters have said, in response to that conjecture, that JFK was speaking of the Communists but if you listen to the full speech, it sounds like JFK was speaking of much more than the Communists. Both JFK and RFK saw certain individuals and groups within Washington as enemies of a sovereign U. S. Lincoln feared the machinations of the RCC which has, down through the centuries, always opposed the freedom of mankind. JFK was an excellent student of history.

Those enemies of a sovereign US, are the liberal minded thinkers, starting with the populace, the "demon-crats", working your way up to the free-masons, the UN, the Jesuits, and then the Illuminati, who are the Elite Bankers, that founded the UN.
The US is being used by the Illuminati as the " "Hammer" of their god Lucifer, to bring the world by force into subjection, for their form of World Peace.

The only answer I can offer is like most other cults, they mix different religious beliefs together, kick in their own false prophet declare it the truth.

Over decades of debating and discussing I've seen it happen time and time again.

They're not interested in the truth, but being the source of all truth that everyone should follow.
