It's not over yet. But, personally this crisis is what the Democrats and other treasonist groups within the USA have created, I hope you see that. They want to destroy America and I got to say too many Canadians have been grossly uninformed ,not just about US politics but current world events, and naively still maintained a 'we hate the arrogant Americans' attitude' because of some false sense of moral superiority. But Trump has not only failed to keep his promise to build a border wall,
Nehemiah built a wall as God directed to separate God's people from the heathen [gentiles]. No matter what any one may say the majority of people in the USA are NOT God's people. What is it we are keeping out and what is it we are keeping in?Nehemiah rebuilt a wall for a temple of God. How much more should we have protection for an entire country? Even God gives the ten commandments and laws for protection. Grace doesn't mean we should not protect ourselves. This is a corrupt world. Our houses have a fence. It isnt because we don't care about our neighbors.

Consider the hedge/wall around Job that was taken down to allow satan access. Why did that hedge/wall need to come down rather than be built up?
Saying that we should have protection presumes that we are in some sense better than those on the other side of the wall. Are we really? If we are of Christ, are all of those on the other side of the wall NOT of Christ? Are all of the ones on the inside of the wall of Christ? Who should be drawing a line?
"There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus." Gal 3:28
One of the problems is we don't know who is on the other side of the wall do we? Non-vetted demanding entry, but stats show and increase in drug trafficking , gang violence, and violent crime. Is that a good thing for a country?Nehemiah built a wall as God directed to separate God's people from the heathen [gentiles]. One thing man gained [if we can call it that]in the Garden of Eden with that first disobedience was recognition that they were naked and a resulting shame. They tried to cover themselves with fig leaves but God recognized that was inadequate and then for a while so He gave them skins. But the skins were insufficient for the long run, so Jesus was sent with a better covering.God was testing Job, was he not? We would all be in trouble without God's hedge of protection over us.
And no, I definitely agree with you that America is not a Christian nation and we are no better then any other race or people.
But the drug epidemic has already killed many Americans. And gangs run rampant in South America and Mexico. With open borders, how can anyone be helped? And if America has become a non Christian nation, the country as a whole cannot help. America has lost its identity. Men identify as women as children. Women as men. Human trafficking is a norm...and the blood of innocent children are on America's hands. God allowed a king even though he warned the people there would be consequences. With a human king you need walls. And we will need weapons and walls until the return of Christ, because this is a sin sick world.
Is it good for a world to have walls? In the eyes of man, it is a stop-gap measure but certainly in the long not a solution. The problem is in people's hearts. Who is able to fix a person's heart but God?One of the problems is we don't know who is on the other side of the wall do we? I thought this was about the southern border crisis? Is it good for a world to have walls? In the eyes of man, it is a stop-gap measure but certainly in the long not a solution. The problem is in people's hearts. Who is able to fix a person's heart but God?

But many or even most want no part of the covering Jesus brought. Some have wanted certain parts of it [the parts appearing "good" to them] but they want to straddle the fence so as to get the "best" of both sides. Recall then this verse:
"I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth." Rev 3:15-16
For what Jesus thought about it consider the parable of the sower [Mark 4:3-9].
Did Job lose or gain from his experiences in the Book of Job? He lost his material goods but regained as much or more. He lost 10 children, but received 10 more children? If we lose a child we love, can the birth of another child we love make us completely forget the love we had for the first one?
All of this pain is pain for God and as we see things with His eyes, for us. Was it better in the past? Has it been better anywhere in the world of men on planet Earth? The only real solution to any of it, is God. We should not expect Him to fix all of man's troubles and that man caused by his own decisions. He won't. For you or me or the other guy there is hope when we really look to Him, but when you talk to God about this be careful about what you ask of Him...especially if you have any doubts about what He should do. Some people are certain they know what is needed. Do they really?
Remember how Jesus prayed:
"And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt." Matt 26:39
It is not a crisis for me. Whatever they do or don't do with that wall will ultimately have no effect on me if I continue to trust God to the end of my course. The details matter to whom and for how long? How is it different from the Mason-Dixon Line?I thought this was about the southern border crisis?
At some point the too many overwhelm the system and when the whole thing falls apart it won't do them any good to be here.
Yes, they had to leave and in the leaving they lost the possibility of accessing and partaking of that other tree, the Tree of Life, but then remember what Jesus said? When a Christian covered by the blood of Jesus sins, is there no consequence for that sin? Of course we are covered by the blood of Jesus when we fall. Our souls are saved from Hell. But Adam and Eve still had to leave the Garden of Eden for disobedience
Especially I guess after meeting Jesus and laying claim to the Life He has brought our consequences could be severe. We will stumble but many times this occurs because of our ignorance of what He requires rather than a purposeful disregard for what God thinks about it. God is able to properly judge all such distinctions, is He not? With Job, he did not sin. God allowed Satan to test him and as you said, he got so much back. But after he was tested, wasn't that hedge of protection back over him? God protects our family/friends/blesses us. If we are living in sin, we may be saved, but we have to deal with those consequences.
So I guess writing through that I see your point that it is a spiritual protection... For spiritual protection, a physical wall does nothing. I think a physical wall can help with physical protection though. When I pray, I pray for God's will to be done and for wisdom concerning how and when I should vote for those regarding this.
It is not a crisis for me. Whatever they do or don't do with that wall will ultimately have no effect on me if I continue to trust God to the end of my course. The details matter to whom and for how long? How is it different from the Mason-Dixon Line?
Give God the glory!Praise God for that!!!! I think I need to remember this more myself and leave it in God's hands more. I just get angry that President Trump is attacked and blamed for everything. I may dislike his personality, but he has exposed the elephant in the room. Or the donkey in this case...whatever he does or does not get done concerning the border crisis and any other issue, he has surely woken people up to the issues. And he is our president. We need to pray for him. Not counter his every move.
I agree with what you are saying, and I reject the phony superior attitude of many Canadians (particularly from Ontario and Quebec) who also happen to be liberal and live in fantasyland. I do follow American conservative reports on what is happening in the States, since I have a vested interest in the USA. And this is not misinformation:...too many Canadians have been grossly uninformed ,not just about US politics but current world events, and naively still maintained a 'we hate the arrogant Americans' attitude' because of some false sense of moral superiority.
Yes, they had to leave and in the leaving they lost the possibility of accessing and partaking of that other tree, the Tree of Life, but then remember what Jesus said?
"The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." John 10:10
Jesus renewed man's access to the Tree of Life!
The consequence for the sin of a man who has already really met the Master is more complicated because he has quenched the Spirit of God within... but is he then without hope?
"For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame." Heb 6:4-6
"My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:" I John 2;1
For judgment God is bound by this verse... but consider also what remains when a person has returned to partake of his own cast aside vomit?
"But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more." Luke 12:48

We will stumble but many times this occurs because of our ignorance of what He requires rather than a purposeful disregard for what God thinks about it. We cannot help in some measure to focus upon the material world of planet Earth around us, especially when we understand little about our ultimate end with God [if we have such], but as we grow toward God [and we must do this to please Him] what happens to us and even those around us while in this veil of flesh should diminish while the Life Jesus brought should increase:
"He [the new man of me] must increase, but I [the old man of me] must decrease." John 3:30
President of the United States as well as existing immigration laws, neither the Senate, nor Congress, nor the courts had any constitutional right to interfere with the President's plan for a border wall.
And why have the Democrats not been charged for attempting to violate immigration laws?
Because the swamp is bigger than anyone realized. There is also the peer pressure among political colleagues that keeps even the well meaning official in-line with the elitist status quo.
Invasion want everyone to call it, the situation is a threat
