It DOES NOT say anything about their eternal salvation now does it?
Deliverance from the flood represents eternal salvation in that scripture.

It DOES NOT say anything about their eternal salvation now does it?
Whose eternal salvation IS discussed in the Old Testament? It DOES NOT say anything about their eternal salvation now does it?
Who is born walking with God?You are misusing this passage like everyone else.
You brought up Noah. Does the Bible describe Noah like you just did above?
No! Here is how it describes him....
“Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.”
Genesis 6:9
I could show you others that were also described as righteous.
Nobody is righteous without God. Nobody is righteous in and of themselves. Why was Noah just? He walked with God. Why is anybody described as righteous? It’s because they are obedient servants. Not because they have never sinned.
No. He is using a physical salvation in verse 20 to describe eternal salvation in vs 21.Deliverance from the flood represents eternal salvation in that scripture.
Eternal salvation? Salvation in the Bible is determined by context.Whose eternal salvation IS discussed in the Old Testament?
Enoch? Maybe.
Job? Maybe.
Abraham? Maybe.
All three require a lot of reading into the verses what is not there.
I don’t think your argument about the eternal salvation of the “evil” (God’s judgement, not mine) children of Noah’s generation really holds water.
Nobody is born walking with God. They are too young to make that choice just like they are not born a sinner. They are too young to make that choice as well.Who is born walking with God?
King David, a man after God’s heart, was not (by his own words).
So EVERYONE is born starting out in a Romans 3 condition and that is why God needs to do what Ephesians 2 describes to make us righteous.
You say no outwardly and then proceed to explain how the answer is yes.
Obeying the Gospel Of 1cor15:1-4 is what gaurantees Salvation....
Let me explain these things to you. Faith is the work of God for the old man. And by this faith we are baptized by the Spirit of God and not man, into the Son of God: the new man. Then being in Christ, we do his commandments, which are done not by the old man but by the new one and so Christ gets the praise.“And we know that God causes everything to work together
for the good of those who love God and are called
according to his purpose for them.” (Romans 8:28)
These were predestined, called, justified, and glorified (8:29-30).
Those who truly love God obey Him by resisting temptations to sin!
“God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation.
Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God
has promised to those who love Him.” (James 1:12)
Believers who endure temptation:
● love God
● chose to be obedient to Jesus (see below)
● will receive the crown of (eternal) life
“Temptation comes from our own desires,
which entice us and drag us away.
These desires give birth to sinful actions.
And when sin is allowed to grow, it gives birth to death.
So, don’t be misled, my dear brothers and sisters.” (James 1:14-16)
Believers who do NOT endure temptation:
● will fall into habitual sin
● will receive spiritual (eternal) death …
UNLESS they sincerely repent (stop their habitual sinning).
Those who really love Jesus obey Him
“Those who accept My commandments and obey them
are the ones who love Me.” (John 14:21)
“All who love Me will do what I say.” (John 14:23)
“Anyone who doesn’t love me will not obey me.” (John 14:24)
“When you obey my commandments, you remain in my love” (John 15:10)
“You are my friends, if you do what I command.” (John 15:14)
Who gets to heaven who does not love Jesus,
who is not His friend,
and who does not obey His commandments?
Slaves of sin -- OR -- slaves of obedience
“… if you present yourselves to anyone as as obedient slaves,
you are slaves of the one whom you obey,
either (slaves) of sin which leads to (eternal) death,
OR (slaves) of obedience leading too righteousness?”
(Romans 6:16)
“… anyone who obeys my teachings will never die!” (John 8:51)
“if you want to receive eternal life,
keep the commandments.” (Matthew 19:17)
“So, you must live as God’s obedient children.” (1 Peter 1:14)
“Only those who fear the Lord and keep His commandments
have life with God. But there is NO (eternal) life in those
who do not keep His commandments.”
(from “The Shepherd of Hermas”, which was quoted as Scripture by early
Christian leaders such as Irenaeus, Origen, and Clement of Alexandria)
.
not the ritual though, but ya!No. He is using a physical salvation in verse 20 to describe eternal salvation in vs 21.
Vs 21 says....THE LIKE FIGURE whereunto baptism doth also now save us.
What is the “like figure”? Salvation through water.
What was the dividing line between death and life in the flood? Water
What is the dividing line today between spiritual death and life? Water. Baptism!
you hope anyway lol. i think ill go and do likewise myselfBut can obedience begin the salvation journey? The answer is no, so there's no Gospel to obey and no guarantee.
Example: try sending Ford motor credit a car payment without ever making a contract to buy a car. They can't accept it! Neither will God. Your obedience is not worth enough to purchase Salvation. Only Christ's obedience was worth enough. We receive Christ by the contract, the covenant of Faith.
Nobody is born walking with God. They are too young to make that choice just like they are not born a sinner
No ... the Gospel is an invitation. To “obey” the Gospel is to simply believe it.That will save us— right?
Please excuse me for a moment ... Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha!Let me explain these things to you.
