Jezebel had already ordered all prophets to be killed.
Yes, she tried to have them all killed but failed because Obadiah hid some. What she wanted done to them is what happened to the false prophets.

1 Kings 18:4 For it was so, when Jezebel cut off the prophets of the Lord, that Obadiah took an hundred prophets, and hid them by fifty in a cave, and fed them with bread and water.)

Jezebel herself got dealt with later.

True...but the Jezebel the church today has to face is cunning and tries to usurp her authority over the head of the church claiming to be His prophet who hears from God and leads the entire congregation into sexual immorality and to eat unclean meat sacrificed to idols.
We are already seeing this take place in churches.

Hence the church that can deal with this Jezebel will be the church that honors God's prophets and heeds their warning...IMHO. The church of Power! The church of the seasoned saints!

When God gives that Power. Agreed.
I find something else interesting about Jezebel.

2 Kings 9:35 And they went to bury her: but they found no more of her than the skull, and the feet, and the palms of her hands.

Does that connect somehow with the mark of the beast? Just wondering. . . . While I don't know, I feel sure she'd be all in favor of the mark of the beast.

God has a plan to take care of it. Those who allow it to happen are told what will happen to them if they don't correct the situation.

Revelation 2:22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.
23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.

I feel it is more of symbolizing her power as becoming dry bones....her head once crowned with authority is dead, her hands that killed the prophets is dead, her feet that was swift to spread her message is dead.
And there is no rest for her because no one laid her body in a proper burial. She is exposed for the false prophet she was.
Those who listened to her will see her shame and be wrought with anguish for being seduced by her.
I just realized I wrote in present tense...the saw not will see.

Very good Barney, only one question, when did Jehovah die?

Revelation 2:8 KJV
[8] And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive;

Tecarta Bible

Revelation 2:8 is speaking of Jesus Christ The Only Begotten Son of The Only True God Jehovah. Everyone should know that The Only True God Jehovah can't die. It's impossible for The Only True God Jehovah to die. The phrase, " the first and the last" in this scriptural verse means that Jesus Christ the Only Begotten Son of The Only True God Jehovah was the first person that The Only True God Jehovah resurrected and he was also the last person The Only True God Jehovah resurrected because after Jehovah God resurrects Jesus Christ Jehovah God has given His Only Begotten Son Jesus Christ the authority to resurrect everyone else, whether they be righteous or unrighteous.

Is it that easy to understand? In most passages, we read that the Father or God raised Jesus raised up; but there are other passages that tell us it's not so easy to understand.

One passage says God will raise up the dead.

1 Corinthians 6:14 And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power.

Then there are passages that say Jesus raised himself.

John 2:19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.

John 10:18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.

And there is a passage that says the Spirit did it.

Romans 8:11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

Lastly John said something I found remarkable:

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

There may be something in what you say since I see Jesus "purifying" the feet of his Apostles when he washed them so their feet would be blessing the very ground wherever they went.

Romans 10:15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

So it is, isn't it? I had never thought of that. What a wonderful insight. Thank you.

Luke 6:27-28
[27] But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, [28] Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.

Romans 12:14
[14] Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.

Genesis 22:17-18
[17] That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; [18] And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.

“...be fruitful and multiply and replenish...”

James 3:18
[18] And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

Mark 4:8
[8] And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some an hundred.

1 Corinthians 3:6-9
[6] I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. [7] So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. [8] Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour. [9] For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.

The children of promise are a blessing not a curse...? “In blessing I will bless thee”

I think that passage connects up with what stars in Revelation mean and with the parable of the mustard seed nicely.

The small seed becomes big tree that reaches into heaven. Why did God compare the seed of Abraham to the tiniest earthly things and to magnificent stars in the sky? I didn't think of it -- someone told me -- and I thought, "Yes, that's it." God can take the smallest thing earthly thing and make it big and bright shining in Heaven. It's the same thing if the sand becomes stars -- just two ways of saying it.

If I'm right about that, the falling of one third of the stars is telling us about spiritual wickedness in high places being cast down.

Well this I do understand...but I think we can even determine that all 7 churches are now completed as far as judgment....except the 2....judgment first begins at the house of the Lord is how I perceive what this is all about.

Not sure what you mean about all 7 Churches are now completed as far as judgment. It's actually apparent from His Messages that they are not yet completed as to judgment yet, but are still pending, all the way up to His return. Just because those Messages were given to those 7 Churches back in history, and some of them no longer exist in those lands anymore, that does not mean what He gave in those no longer are in effect. The 7 Churches represent a Heavenly pattern for the 7 candlesticks John saw. And only Jesus can remove those candlesticks.

Look at His Message to the Church at Sardis. He linked His judgment with them to His coming "as a thief". Our Lord Jesus has not yet returned today, but He will, and He will come upon many "as a thief" like He warned on the 6th Vial in Rev.16. So that Message is still in effect for today, and all the way up to His return. Likewise with each of the other 7 Messages.

Have you ever considered the flying roll in Zechariah 5:1? See it “this is the curse” enter into a house and begin to eat and consume the stone and wood until the house falls to the ground “and great was its fall”?

Zechariah 5:3-4
[3] Then said he unto me, This is the curse that goeth forth over the face of the whole earth: for every one that stealeth shall be cut off as on this side according to it; and every one that sweareth shall be cut off as on that side according to it. [4] I will bring it forth, saith the Lord of hosts, and it shall enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of him that sweareth falsely by my name: and it shall remain in the midst of his house, and shall consume it with the timber thereof and the stones thereof.

“The curse that goeth forth over the face of the whole earth...to cut off man.”

Zechariah 7:9-14
[9] Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, saying, Execute true judgment, and shew mercy and compassions every man to his brother: [10] And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart. [11] But they refused to hearken, and pulled away the shoulder, and stopped their ears, that they should not hear. [12] Yea, they made their hearts as an adamant stone, lest they should hear the law, and the words which the Lord of hosts hath sent in his spirit by the former prophets: therefore came a great wrath from the Lord of hosts. [13] Therefore it is come to pass, that as he cried, and they would not hear; so they cried, and I would not hear, saith the Lord of hosts: [14] But I scattered them with a whirlwind among all the nations whom they knew not. Thus the land was desolate after them, that no man passed through nor returned: for they laid the pleasant land desolate.

Malachi 4:5-6
[5] Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord : [6] And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

A consumption determined on the whole earth....Isaiah 10:22 For though thy people Israel be as the sand of the sea, yet a remnant of them shall return: the consumption decreed shall overflow with righteousness.

“Consumption” looked it up once...can’t remember the whole definition but think it was “consume” or “lay waste”. Good news is “...shall overflow with righteousness”

Recommend regarding the Revelation of Jesus Christ: (Zechariah 5:7-11), (Zechariah 6:18). (imo) The Revelation of Jesus Christ whereby Paul said he received of God the gospel preached unto you...is the healing of a curse. We can read the Revelation of Jesus Christ as a curse and drink it in as so and apply it upon others as so... “this is the curse that enters a house and consumes wood and stone.” Or as Paul was taught of the gospel by the Revelation of Jesus Christ ...see the one who hears is truly blessed indeed. All the weapons ...those horses sent out are either a curse already gone out...or healed. “Any weapon formed against you will not prosper. THIS is the heritage of the saints.” Can’t remember them all right now...but a few ...death becomes “blessed are those that die in the Lord’s name from hereforth”. The arrow of God ...the bow...is filled with children of promise ...happy is He with His quiver full. As arrows in the hands of a mighty warrior. blood takes peace from the earth (a curse), HIS blood (Spirit) restores peace. The sword either is used to take a life, or give it. The Revelation of Jesus Christ is either a curse that enters a house and consumes the wood and stone. Or a blessing to him who hears and is build up Anew by the Revelation of Jesus Christ, restorer of the breach.

Revelation 6:13
[13] And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.

He blew with His breath. As promised:
Malachi 3:11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts.
