I ask because the history of motivation, perception, the limitation of our ability to conceive and stay focused is difficult.
There are so many things to discover and explore, it is often difficult to see the return on effort put in.

But some have written one book and changed the thoughts and history of man. Marx, Nitzche, Darwin.
They spot one aspect of our existence, expand it too far, and it takes over.

We live in a world of anxiety but little ambition. Most people are now medicated in one form or another.
Does Jesus have anything to say to this situation? Is a faith from the bronze age relevant to the internet age?
If we are to survive some fundamental motivational questions need to be answered.

Once saved always saved could be true if you earn it, but there are many ways to do it and self control is one. We have leaders we need to look up to, role models, and they are cool but we should try to make up to them or be on our best behavior and find what we like in them, what we're used too, and what we remember. The things we like in them. If someone obtained heaven, then why wouldn't they go there? But if one is saved, they're not reserved because.....anyway loosing salvation can and may occur.

Heros, role models? Can you name one you want to follow? I have a distinct lack of them.
One maybe Paul the apostle. Or Peter. But they were 2,000 years ago. Those I see today seem
sadly flawed.

Saved? Saved from what to what? Are we a physical manifestation with a soul and spirit, or a soul and spirit with a physical manifestation?
Is salvation about if the evil was stripped away, what would remain? Or is it we are a pure ethereal being who got a little lost?

Do you know how to progress an idea? I know one guy whose whole motivation was to pretend to hold to positions and
then let it drop to see the effect. I just like pursuing ideas, and throwing things out there. It does not matter to me if
they are picked up or not, things progress and it is amazing new insights one can get.

God is a gardener. He designed things to develop, adjust and progress. Look at life, it adjusts to pressure and
randomly tries new strategies. It is amazing how things can adapt and grow, conquer and overcome.

I love evolutionary theory, because it shows the inter-relatedness of life. It has also shown how we are the
product of our environment and also its sculptor. Our perception of God and the world is very much from where
we are, which is always biased and limited. If we are prepared to grow and change then we have hope.

No. But the question is what is purity or being clean? A lot of things make us unclean, yet equally we can also
be purified. And nothing is perfect in a static way, rather we are always changing and moving forward.
We hate the idea of insecurity and travelling but love to arrive and be safe. What if life is about the path and
change, and taking on challenges and growth is eternal?

Hmm... That's good. It's probably correct,

Well God is extraordinary.

God is beyond what I can perceive, or understand. I can begin to touch the wonder of what is.
The vastness of the universe, and how fragile 40 miles of atmosphere round a small planet circling
the sun, in a small corner of vastness beyond our imagining. And this is everything we know.
And I live in a time of talking on you over the internet. Weird. And love works. Really works.

It's always a journey and growth? So what are we, ditto from Pokemon? Do we constantly change, or as much as we want to or can?

Do you know what fractals are?
They are a mathematical equation that creates a pattern that repeats itself in the macro scale and micro scale
so they look the same.
Scripture seems to have this property also. In a few sentences the same interrelationships are expressed that
are shown in bigger stories or parables. They form a continuous whole over stories going over 2,000 years of
history. And one idea can be hidden in a sentence, yet missed time and time again.

I used to read scripture and then get bored. I know the meaning of "I am the way, the truth and the life"

Really. A declaration of total authenticity, the doorway to existence and the whole of creation. Yet it is said
in only a few words. The way, a path, a series of instructions, a life style put into action, a transformation
and growth to achieve a goal. Once you begin to unpack, the unpacking does not stop, and each time
slightly different. Jesus is eternal and extraordinary.

We change whether we like it or not. Our choice is just what we sow as we travel. Some have said we become
what we think and dwell on. It is why getting our dreams can destroy our very selves, as what we were which we
regarded of little value becomes self indulgence and privilege, rather than relationships and sharing. Wealth can
become a bigger curse than poverty.

I know he's beyond what we can perceive or understand. They are amazingly gifted. I have love for my family and relatives, and we help you. But keep in mind everyone is beautiful in some way and not everyone is a thousand year old or million year old deity and people are theirself and do what they want to do. There's a lot of fish in the sea so to speak but living is good and love is too, I know. I've experienced it and had to use it and it is good and useful at times, busy.

Amen. But which God are we discussing? To each his own.
