I never said Jesus was not fully God and fully man. But God is more than Jesus and Mary didn't give birth to God's divine nature (which was part of who Jesus was), IT ALWAYS EXISTED. Mary was not the mother of God, she bore Jesus, not the Father, and not the Spirit. "God" incorporates a lot more than just Jesus' physical being. In order to be the mother of God, she would have had to give birth to the Father, Son and Spirit and they would have had to come into existence in her womb. When my mother carried me in her womb, God formed my soul and spirit and body within her. I didn't exist before conception in any form. That is what birth entails, the creation of a complete human, body, soul and spirit. Jesus already existed for eternity in soul and spirit. They were never born or formed within Mary, because there was never a moment when they didn't exist. To believe otherwise is heresy.
Once again - Jesus is GOD.
Lrt m break it down for you again . . .

Jesus s FULLY God and FULLY Man.
Mary gave birth to Jesus, who is FULLY God and FULLY Man.
Ergo, Mary gave birth to GOD when she gave birth to Jesus.

This is how your Protestant Fathers understood it.
When did the rest of you fall off the tracks and vegin to deny what your Protestant Fathers taught??

The Reformers on Mary, the Mother of God:
Martin Luther:

"She is rightly called not only the mother of the man, but also the Mother of God ... It is certain that Mary is the Mother of the real and true God."
"St. Paul says 'God sent his Son born of a woman, ' These words which I hold for true, really sustain quite firmly that
Mary is the Mother of God."

(Martin Luther, Martin Luther's Works, vol. 7, pg 592)
"This article of faith- that Mary is the Mother of God- is present in the Church from the beginning and is not a new creation of the council but the presentation of the Gospel and the Scriptures."
(Martin Luther, Martin Luther's Works, vol. 7, pg 572)
"It is certain that Mary is the Mother of the real and true God."
(Martin Luther, Martin Luther's Works, vol. 24, pg107)

John Calvin
It cannot be denied that God in choosing and destining Mary to be the Mother of his Son, granted her the highest honor. ... Elizabeth called Mary Mother of the Lord, because the unity of the person in the two natures of Christ was such that she could have said that the mortal man engendered in the womb of Mary as at the same time the eternal God.
(Calvini Opera, Corpus Reformatorum, Braunschweig-Berlin, 1863-1900, v. 45, p. 348, 35)

John Wycliffe
"It seems to me impossible that we should obtain the reward of Heaven without the help of Mary. There is no sex or age, no rank or position, of anyone in the whole human race, which has no need to call for the help of the Holy Virgin." [Sermon on Mary]

Ulrich Zwingli
"I esteem immensely the Mother of God".
"The more the honor and love of Christ increases among men, so much the esteem and honor given to Mary should grow". [The Works of Zwingli, Corpus Reformatorum, Berlin, 1905].

Heinrich Bullinger, Ulrich Zwingli’s successor
"Nestorius, the heretic, recognized two natures in Christ, and he understood them as being TWO PERSONS. Indeed he taught that the Word had not been united in ONE PERSON with the flesh, but had only been its habitation in the flesh: that is why he would not admit that the Blessed Virgin Mary was called “Theotokos” or “Mother of God.”

Charles Drelincourt, the French Reformed pastor, 1633
"On account of this close and unaccountable union (of the natures of Christ), what belonged to one of those natures can be attributed generally to the PERSON. Hence just as the Apostle, St. Paul, said that the Jews crucified the Lord of Glory (1 Cor 2)...we find no difficulty in saying with the Ancients, that the VIRGIN MARY IS THE MOTHER OF GOD; for he whom she bore is GOD above all else, eternally blest (Rom 9)."

Mary didn't give birth to ANYBODY other than Jesus.

That was not the question.

The question said nothing about Mary giving birth.

The question was:
Mary was NOT the Mother to anyone else?

Is that correct?

Mary gave birth to the GOD-Man (Theanthropos) - NOT simply a man.

No.
Mary gave birth to Gods Son, not God.

Not once was God the Father ever said to be IN Mary's Womb, or Born out of Mary.

Not once was it taught by the Apostles, that Mary was the "Mother of God".

Do you have ONE Scripture that says Mary gave birth to God?

Gosh - you're FULL of heresies today . . .

Heresy #1: "Jesus was NOT fully God when Mary Gave Birth to Jesus."
Heresy #2: "Mary gave birth to Gods Son, not God."

Jesus IS God incarnate.
Isaiah 9:6
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Matt. 4:7
Jesus said to him, “Again it is written, ‘You shall not put the Lord your God to the test.’”

Luke 1:43
And how does this happen to me, that the
mother of my LORD should come to me?

John 1:1
In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God.

And just for the record - NOBODY ever said that Mary gave birth to the Father, Einstein.
In fact - I made it perfectly clear that she gave birth to the Son and NOT the Trinity.

God always was, Einstein. Nobody gave birth to God. Do you deny the pre existence of Christ? God created Mary. Can someone give birth to their Creator? Of course, there is a great mystery here as to whether Jesus was fully aware of his God hood as a baby and etc and so on, but the point is, Mary was just a human woman. Nobody special. She was chosen for a task, but so were lots of others. We don't pray to Abraham or Moses, even though they were chosen instruments of God and we should not pray to a human women, just because she bore Jesus in the flesh.

Catholicism has never taught that Mary is the mother of God the Father. That is a heresy. The title "Theotokos" was chosen over the title "Christotokos' because the Church Fathers were concerned about future confusion of Christ's identity as being 2 persons as opposed to ONE Person. This mess got straightened out at the Council of Ephesus convened in 431 AD to address the Nestorian heresy. The doctrine of the Trinity was under attack! Jesus is God! Mary is the mother of Jesus, Who is God! Yet Nestorian Protestants are offended by the title "Mother of God" out of complete ignorance of the origin of the term.

Before spouting off name-calling should examine the Contradictions you are Full Of...

She gave birth to the Son, is what I said, you called a heresy.

Then you claim, she gave birth to the Son, not the Trinity.

Wiggle out of that!

The Fullness of God has No Mother, No Father, No Ancestors. He is Without Beginning.

Why do you teach a contradiction of Scripture, calling Mary the Mother of God...?
Nothing in Scripture makes that Claim...

I've seen your list of men, making that claim...WHOM do you follow...men or the Truth of God?

It's looking pretty obvious...but you can answer the question.

Typical Catholic BOL!

You dodge my Question.
You make a claim For me, I never Made.
Then based on what you say For me...You call me names.

A real example of how Catholics are taught to lie, deceive and call names.

Too bad you have more pride in Catholicism than spreading the TRUTH of God.

Hello Renniks,

Mary was just a human woman. Nobody special.

Nobody special?! Only the woman whom God chose to be His mother.

Man, I'd get offended if you said my mother was nothing special... Happily Jesus is much more forgiving about that than I would be...

She was chosen for a task, but so were lots of others. We don't pray to Abraham or Moses, even though they were chosen instruments of God

Why not?

"He is not God of the dead but of the living. You are greatly misled."

Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The fervent prayer of a righteous person is very powerful.

This we call the communion of the saints. We are all in this together, and we help each other with our prayers!

You too! Are welcome to come to the wedding feast of the Lamb of God!

Peace be with you!

LIE
much??

As to your question - I didn't answer it because it's invalid:

Mary gave birth to Jesus - and Jesus is GOD,according to the Bible . . .
Isaiah 7:14, Isaiah 9:6, Matt. 4:7, John 1:1, John 1:3, John 8:58, John 10:30, John 15:9, John 20:28, Acts 5:3-4, 2 Cor. 4:4, Phil. 2:6, Col. 2:9, 1 Tim. 3:16, Heb. 1:8, Titus 2:13

Ergo, Mary is the Mother of GOD.
Pretty simple, really . . .

Hello Renniks,

Nobody special?! Only the woman whom God chose to be His mother.

Mary's Virgin Womb was chosen.
Why Mary? (Her specialty)?
A Virgin Female.
A Jew.
A Faithful believer IN God and the Jewish Messiah.
Betrothed to a Jew, of the House of David.
Once married, (Espoused), any legal offspring of Mary, would legally (according TO man's law) be, of the House of David.

Why is the House of Davids, offspring, Important?
Because David was given a kingship and an EVER- LASTING THRONE, and that THRONE has not been occupied, since king David, and will legally Be Occupied BY Jesus, (the legal (according to man's law) offspring, when He sets up His Kingdom on Earth.

Because Jesus is the only Begotton, Son of God, Jesus is entitled to Receive, what is Gods.

Because Jesus, was on Earth, as a Jew, And legal son, Of king David...and also a legal son of Abraham, Jesus is legally (By Gods Promise), entitled To Abraham's LAND, which is where Jesus' Earthly Kingdom shall be...and all the occupants...Saved, Quickened, Raised Immortal bodies.

There is no such thing as a Mother of God, except in the Carnal minds of men, who carnally teach what is false.

Glory to God,
Taken

LOL...

A human CREATED woman is the Mother of The UnCreated Everlasting God who has neither a Mother or Father...

Nothing more than religious catholic doctrine brainwashing.

You were "supposed" to learn "to submit" to Jesus' Spiritual Doctrine, Truth, Spiritual Church and Christ Jesus Himself...
NOT men, NOT Doctrines of men, NOT mens Truths and NOT Churches built with men's hands.

Ah but they got you from the Cradle...and have been THINKING for you and DICATING your Beliefs TO YOU for how many years now?

Obviously a long time...since you MIMIC what you were taught...pretending you are Qualified to "Think and Speak" for others... and then pretending you are Qualified...to Dictate "your thoughts and speaking for others"...are Wrong....LOL...
What a Twisted Lot you are Yoked with!

And the most amusing part...
Is the ONLY source of Verification you can present ... for your teaching of:

"Mary, Mother of God"
"Mary, perpetual Virgin"
"Mary, sinless"
"Mary, passing her Human DNA, to Jesus"
"Mary, having NEVER, married Joseph."

Is but from Doctrines of men.

Which comically, has A Betrothed Jewish woman, Traveling and Living for Years with a man.

LOL...ya sure, Jewish Custom for Betrothed women... to travel with and live with the man she is Betrothed to!
LOL...NOT!

Your manmade False Doctrine...is what Men IN Christ Jesus were warned About...

UGH!

Does not compute. Mary gave birth to a baby, not a man, BTW. Jesus didn't claim Mary as his heavenly mother. He said he did the will of his Father in heaven. He even asked who his mother and brother were. Do you know the answer?

Let me explain to you WHY it's important - as ALL types and fulfillments in Scripture are important.

In the OT, there was the Ark of the Covenant, which held the symbols of Gods power and mercy within it.
In the NT, Mary is the Ark of the NEW Covenant, Jesus - who IS God's power and mercy itself.

Here is a short list of Scriptural comparisons of the ot Type that was the Ark of the New Covenant - and the NT fulfillment that is Mary, Ark of the NEW Covenant:

OT - "Who am I that the Ark of my Lord should come to me?" (2 Sam. 6:9)
NT - "Who am I that the mother of my Lord should come to me?" (Luke 1:43)

OT - The When the Ark carrying the Word of God returned “David was leaping and dancing before the Lord” (2 Sam. 6:14)
NT - When Mary came into Elizabeth's presence carrying the word of God, the baby “leaped for joy” in Elizabeth's womb (Luke 2:38)

OT - The Ark carrying the Word of God is brought to the house of Obed-Edom in the hill country of Judea for 3 months, where it was a blessing. (2 Sam. 6:11)
NT - Mary (the new Ark) carrying the Word of God goes to Elizabeth's house in the hill country of Judea for 3 months, where she is a blessing (Luke 1:56)

OT - The Ark is captured (1 Sam 4:11) and brought to a foreign land and later returns (1 Sam 6:13)
NT - Mary (the new Ark) is exiled to a foreign land (Egypt) and later returns (Matt. 2:14)

OT - The On the Day of the Dedication of the Temple which Solomon built, there were 120 priests present (2 Chron. 5:11). The Ark of the Covenant was carried into the Temple (2 Chron. 5:7) and fire came down from Heaven to consume the burnt offering (2 Chron. 7:7).
NT - The On the Day of Pentecost, there were 120 disciples of Jesus present in the Upper Room (Acts 1:15). Mary, the Mother of Jesus and the Ark of the NEW Covenant was also present while the Holy Spirit came down as tongues of fire (Acts 2:3).

It's also important to remember that chapter and verse were not added by the Church until the Middle Ages. Before this, ALL of the Books of Scripture were read as one long letter with no breaks.

That being said - in the Book of Revelation, we see the Ark of the Covenant in Heaven being spoken of at the very end of Chapter 11, verse 19: Then God's temple in heaven was opened, and the ark of his covenant could be seen in the temple. There were flashes of lightning, rumblings, and peals of thunder, an earthquake, and a violent hailstorm.

The very next verse is in Chapter 12 (Rev 12:1): A great sign appeared in the sky, a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars.

Verse 2 says: She was with child and wailed aloud in pain as she labored to give birth.

We know that this child is Jesus because in verse 4, we read: She gave birth to a son, a male child, destined to rule all the nations with an iron rod.

There is simply no getting around the fact that the Woman here in Revelation 12 is Mary.
It also symbolizes Israel in another sense. This is knows as polyvalent symbolism.
Anyone can cobble a collection of verses together to make the Bible say what they want it to say. It is called handling the Word of God deceitfully (2 Corinthians 4:2).
