We are talking about praying to Mary, not all sin, just this one. Are you denying that Catholics pray to Mary, or other saints?
Thank you.

I would like to be fair here and take the focus off "Catholics". There are some Protestant denominations that hold the same/similar Marian doctrines/thoughts etc. that the Catholic Church does. To be fair we should say that it appears some Christians pray to Mary.

For those Christians that pray "to" Mary (if that is what they are in fact doing) with the expectation that she has the ability to grant their prayers; they are wrong. Church doctrine does not condone that.

Those Christians should be asking Mary to pray with them 'to God' since only he can grant those prayers. Just like when I ask you to pray to God with me or I put in a prayer request on this forum under the "Prayer forum". When I do that I am asking everyone here to pray with me to God.

Sincerely, Mary

To all reading this thread, people study the life of Apostle Paul, they study the life of Peter, so I don't see a problem with studying what the Bible has to say about Mary the Mother of Jesus.

The problem is what the Bible does not say About Mary.

I'm pretty sure what @Heart2Soul was referring to was, not just being Jewish but which tribe Mary descended from ...Jesus needed to be via Rahab and Boaz , and of David's seed... of Judah....
Yes that is exactly my point....and He also comes on the scene at the time John the Baptist was baptizing and preparing the way for His appearance....as prophesied.....so therefore everything was in His perfect timing.....John the Baptist came first then Jesus....and Mary was predestined before she was even born to be the mother of Jesus.

Yes, I recently learned that the Orthodox religion conceived at the same time as the Catholic religion also pray to Mary. For a long time, I thought that was a major difference. Now the only thing I see that is different between the two is the pope.

You are assuming that she can hear you and the billion others. The New Covenant provides that we are no longer separated from God, and can pray to Him directly through Jesus Christ, the one and ONLY mediator. The false belief that a dead human can hear you is straight from paganism and a sin.

This topic never has a conclusion....ugh....well my last 2 cents worth and Imaouttahere...lol.....I don't agree with the Catholic's doctrine on praying to Mary or saying Hail Mary's to her....for one reason Mary doesn't answer my prayers and secondly why go through her when I can go straight to the source which is my Father?
But do I admire her? Yes, I admire her faithfulness and willingness to be obedient to the Holy Spirit to conceive and give birth to the Messiah.

Rev 21:27 says no such thing!

Uh oh...
Does that mean God chose the Virgin Womb of an "unrighteousness" Jewish woman, to Reveal Gods OWN Word?

Interesting.

Does that also blow out of the water, Catholic teaching...Mary was without Sin, and Unrighteous?

Oxymoron.

BTW- Rev 21:27 is about:
IT
IT is The Holy CITY of Jerusalem!
IT is brought down FROM Heaven and Located ON Earth.
Rev 21:2

And...

A person's Whose "NAME" Is recorded IN the Lambs Book of Life, shall Enter into "IT" (The Holy City of Jerusalem)!

And FYI...
The Lambs Book of Life, IS IN Heaven.

Rev 21
[27] And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.

It is Obvious WHY you simply (reference) a Scripture opposed to QUOTING a Scripture...

QUOTING would reveal, what you reference, does NOT verify your claim.

Your Tactic is well known on this forum, as is your Deflection when challenged.
Pay attention:

Rev. 21:27 is about the New Jerusalem – that comes down from HEAVEN. NOTHING impure or imperfect can enter it (Heaven OR the New Jerusalem).

Those in Heaven have been PERFECTED in Christ – and that was my point.

I didn’t think you would understand . . .

To be honest, my views on these 2 topics are probably at odds with some of the staff. And the majority of members on these forums are from protestant denominations, so you will definitely find some other threads you agree with. My views on word of faith are also at odds with many of the members in these forums.

I find that many here are vehemently against and outright hateful against original Traditional Christianity as if the new brand is the only one exist. So when talk of Traditional Christianity comes the hate comes out full strength. I almost left because of the hatred of Traditional Christianity here and felt like people here treated people like me like a leper and still do.

So . . .you are saying that apart from Scripture, you have an oral statement or letter from the Apostles! Which Apostles wrote to you! I would like to see them sometime.
Nope – I didn’t say that.

What I AM saying is that NOWHERE in Scripture does it say that EVERYTHING the Apostles taught was written down.
That’s what 2 Thess. 2:15 is ALL about – and there is NO expiration date on 2 Thess. 2:15 . . .

Ahhhh, but Christ’s Church, which is the pillar and foundation of truth (1 Tim. 2:15) and the FULLNESS of Christ (Eph. 1:22-23) fills in the blanks.

What neither His Church NOR the Scriptures say anything about is Sola Scriptura or Sola Fide – and that should really concern you . . .

A Saint is a person who HAS been MADE:
Forgiven, soul Saved and spirit Quickened.

Saints in Heaven...ARE Forgiven, soul Saved, spirit Quickened.
Their physical dead body is in the grave, waiting to be Bodily Resurrected.

Saints on Earth...ARE Forgiven, soul Saved, spirit Quickened.
Their physical body is walking about on Earth...yet spiritually they are Bodily Crucified with Christ, and spiritually living IN Christ's living RISEN Body.
They also are waiting to be Bodily ressurected.

Bodily Living men (who are Saints), "Supernaturally" by their spirit Communicate TO Gods Spirit.

Bodily Living men (who are Saints) communicate NATURALLY (speaking, looks, gestures) with their Body, to Other Bodily Alive men.

A Saint on Earth can ask another Saint on Earth...to pray for them, with them.

"All Saints" already have Direction from God, to pray For all Others.

How exactly does a Bodily ALIVE Saint PRAY "to" a Heavenly Saint to ask "them" to Pray "for" the person asking?

Why is a person ON Earth...asking Heavenly Saints "to DO", what they are Already Doing?

How are the Two...one Bodily ALIVE...and one Bodily Dead...Communicating?

Where IS any Scriptural Verification for Saints "ON Earth" directed to "ASK" Saints "IN Heaven"....anything?

Anyone whose Does pray to Heavenly Saints have ANY Scripturally Quoted Verification?

Glory to God,
Taken
