I "bit" because it my Thread....

So...Paul has the final say.
So, if at some point you are sitting in a church of 5,000, and you are the only person in it, who suddenly understands that the blood of Jesus that saved you, keeps you saved, and the other 4,999 people, including the Pope, and the Pastor, all keep telling you that you have to do and do and do and dont do and dont do and dont do, and if you DO and DONT DO all THAT, you might make it to heaven..

So, if you become that enlightened one, then you'll understand what im doing here, vs, what most others are doing here.

IF YOU SEE THIS, and when you do, you wont be one of the 5,000.
And hopefully, you are not....
Jay.... Are you born again.. ??? If so....Do you believe you can lose your salvation?
?

I had an uncle by marriage who was a reverend gentleman who would act "god" like from the pulpit and miss use the parable of the Talents to ginger up his congregation to bring about "the time of the end" through attempting to have a great revival. When challenged about who had the lead role in this parable, he complained about the fact that I had torn out his basis for his salvation because he had the wrong understanding of the parable.

As for your question of, "Jay....Are you born again.. ???" What do you mean? Do I conform to your understanding of Scripture and what it means to have "Salvation?"

It is a question that I never ask.

What I prefer asking, is: "How is your relationship with the "God/god" that you are worshipping at the moment?"

The problem I see is that too many people are playing at being "god" rather than being in relationship with God where grace and legalism have no part to play.

So they are the only ones with the "divine nature" as well???

Gotta go to the doctor, but let's talk about this.
Paul is the one who said, "we have the mind of Christ" and he was talking about himself and his fellow apostles. What he means is that he and the other apostles had first hand knowledge of what Jesus taught, and they alone have the authority to speak on his behalf. In the context, 1 Corinthians 2, Paul is comparing his "wisdom" with that of the leaders of this world. He claims to have direct revelation from God, while the other leaders are speculating.

Peter talks about participating in the divine nature (2 Peter 1:4) and in that context he lists several things that sound a lot like the fruit of the Spirit: excellence, perseverance, self-control, godliness, etc. If such things are yours and increasing, then you will not stumble into sin, come to know the Lord more intimately, and gain an entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord.

Sorry to hear about your uncle.

And you are on a Christian forum, .....on a Thread that is discussing Grace vs Legalism.
An unbeliever would not be interested in this topic, but a believer would..
However, because your original comment was not related to the Thread's topic, i assumed you came here to just give opinion and offer nothing of value.

So dont worry, im not going to ask you again, if you are born again, i'll just let you dodge that question, because you are obviously so very clever.
We get a lot of novice types through here who just come by to park and judge.

And if you like this Thread...... then if you have time, go and pull up my 50+ other Thread's Ive created here, as their is a lot to learn.

Peter, when talking about PAUL's Letters, said they can be difficult to understand and defined them as Scripture.
He said this only about Paul's letters.
And now ive told you 3 times.

Peter substantiated Paul's letters as scripture, in 2 Peter 3:15-16.

Then, Paul substantiated the rest of scripture in the Bible as being holy in 2 Timothy 3:16.

First off, us gentiles are and where never under the law,

You have Gentiles being saved because they are Gentiles. Because what it means to not be under the law is that it means that we are forgiven of all of our sins and therefore our relationship to the law has changed. Gentiles are not forgiven because they are Gentiles; the law declares them to be guilty before God (Romans 3:19-20). Also, in Galatians 3:23, we find that we who are saved were kept under the law before we were saved. In context, Paul is talking to Gentile Christians when he says this; encouraging them not to fall for the Judaizing that was coming from certain people in the church.

The Heretics list to try to keep themselves saved includes...

2. Abiding

Unfortunately for you, you are teaching against holy scripture and the anointing of the Lord:

Jo 2:27, But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
1Jo 2:28, And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.

I do not here say that we must abide in order to keep ourselves saved; for our position in Christ is secure in that when the Father looks down on us, He sees the blood and righteousness of Jesus Christ.

However, the anointing of God teaches us to abide according to the above verses; and I believe that our connectedness / koinoneia fellowship / relationship with God is affected by whether we abide or not.

For, in 1 John 3:22-23, our answers to prayer are dependent on whether we continue to believe on the name of Jesus Christ and love one another, as He gave us commandment. If abiding means doing these two things, then we have assurance of answered prayers when we abide in Christ, i.e. believe on His name and love one another, as He gave us commandment.

It is a relationship with Christ that we benefit from having it be unbroken by sin.

Hi JBF,

On this, if the law was never given to us, then we're not under the law, right?

But just the same, that doesn't mean we're not guilt, as we all fall short of God's glory, and all are born from Adam, dead in sin.

Much love!

Unfortunately for you, you are teaching against holy scripture and the anointing of the Lord:

.

No, im just rebuking your legalism, again.
See, you teach that abiding is a SELF EFFORT.
All Self effort to stay "in Christ" is being performed to try to "stay saved". This is Legalism.
That is you, that is charismaticlady, and others.
You are a self effort abider, who is a self saver, as proven by why you are trying to Abide.
So, you have no idea about the anointing of the Lord, as you don't have this in your teaching.

Now let me help.
To "abide" is to be put into "One" with God, by God's holy Spirit.
That is how you abide and why.
Abiding, Mr self anointed, is a SPIRITUAL SITUATION, that you can't control or cause, even tho you teach that you can.
So, your teaching is false, your understanding is dark, and you like to hear yourself talk.

But just the same, that doesn't mean we're not guilt, as we all fall short of God's glory, and all are born from Adam, dead in sin.

Even if the law was never given to us we are still under it; for Jesus said that the word that He spoke would judge every person on the last day. I would say that the word that Jesus spoke includes the law of the Old Testament; since He is the God of the Old and New Testaments.

Gentiles obey the law even though they do not have it because the law is written on their conscience; they are law unto themselves. Therefore, the law as it pertains to their conscience will be their judge on the last day.

For example, we don't like it if someone steals from us; and the golden rule is generally accepted among the Gentiles as being what the law requires of us in a nutshell. So, the fact that we don't want to be stolen from tells us that it would be wrong for us to steal from others. Our conscience tells us this; and this is the law.

So I am coming from the perspective that the law is an eternal standard in the heavenlies and that people died because they sinned even before the law as given; while sin, in 1 John 3:4, is defined as the transgression of the law.

So then, even though Gentiles were not given the law, they are still under it. They will be found guilty before the Lord with the law as the standard by which they shall be judged (see Romans 3:19-20).

You do not even understand my teaching; or you would know that I don't teach that abiding is self-effort..

1) I am not self-anointed. Prophecies were laid out concerning me and by them I wage the good warfare.

2) I am not the one who posts a multitude of threads here because I like to hear myself talk. When I speak, it is for a purpose and not to stroke my own ego. Those among us who are more astute would think of Matthew 7:1-5 and Luke 6:41-42 at the hearing of your statements that I like to hear myself talk. That is clearly you more than it is me. It is my proverbial speck to the beam in your own eye.

You just denied Paul, again.
Your verse is Paul talking to people who are under the law, = the UNBELIEVERS.
Paul said that no flesh can be justified by the LAW, and that is why God came here to remove it.. God himself "found fault with the Law".
Paul told you that you are not under the law. Paul told you this.."Christ came to redeem us from the Curse of the Law".
Paul told you that you are "NOT UNDER THE LAW BUT UNDER GRACE"..

"justbyfaith" replies......"see there, we are still under the law".

What is wrong with you?
Have you never read a NT?

The prophets who laid out your anointing are not real....they are false.
Prophets do not call people to the Call of God.
God calls you.
You have been deceived by, probably tongue talkers who have you as their conquest.

And the "speck" that is in my eye, is generally the finger pointing of the self anointed like you.
That would be you, or charismatic lady, as only you two fakirs live on my Threads. as "self anointed".
Others who live there, do not attempt to fake a call of God, and they are generally just trying to figure it all out.
Some are hostile, but at least they are honest.

Paul told you that you are not under the law.

But not because I am a Gentile. Because I am a member of the church.

You have been deceived by, probably tongue talkers who have you as their conquest.

Yes, my original salvation came out of Pentecostal preaching.

And it was a Pentecostal environment where I received the prophecies that were laid over me.

I take it that you are attempting to divide people here, getting people to follow you and reject my teaching, who have a predisposition against tongues.

I consider that if they believed Jesus' words, they will believe my words; and if they persecuted Jesus, they will persecute me; and if they rejected Jesus' words, they will reject my words.

This is written unto me:

1Jo 4:4, Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
1Jo 4:5, They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
1Jo 4:6, We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

And how would i know that about you?
I've never met you.
Its because I can SEE you.
You need to LISTEN mr self self self abiding.
You have been faith destroyed by a fringe cult and by the epistle to the Hebrews.
And who was writing about this Epistle destroying believers, before you told me it happened to you?
So, how would i know that??

You need to LISTEN.

I have not pointed the finger at you; while I have pointed out that there were three fingers pointing back at you when you did so to me.
