There is more than one gospel in the Bible. It is imperative to comprehend not only to whom each gospel was given, but how they differ. It is also of the upmost importance to know which gospel is for our salvation unto eternal life.

Galatians 3:8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.

The gospel was given to Abraham. A gospel is glad tidings, good news. The obligation of mankind is to believe what God said. Abraham believed that God would bless all the nations through him.

Genesis 15:5 And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.

15:6 And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.

It is always and only by faith that God saves, by believing God. It is always and only by grace that God saves in doing for us what we are incapable of in and of ourselves.

The gospel was given to Israel in the wilderness.

Hebrews 4:2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

What gospel was the writer of Hebrews referring to ?

Deuteronomy 1:8 Behold, I have set the land before you: go in and possess the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give unto them and to their seed after them.

The gospel of entering into God's rest through belief referred to above in Hebrews 4:2 is not the same gospel given to Israel in the wilderness to possess the land. It can be seen from this comparison that there is more than just one gospel.

Jesus preached the gospel of the kingdom.

Mark 1:15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

Matthew 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

The Davidic kingdom was promised to Israel, wherein, they would inherit an earthly kingdom and reign with Christ (Daniel 2:44 Revelation 20:4). Israel was to believe on the name of Jesus, that Jesus was the Son of God, the Messiah. Placing faith and trust in Jesus and his name would justify them unto eternal life (John 20:31). Obeying his commandments would physically save them to enter the kingdom (Matthew 5:20). Upon belief the kingdom would have been ushered in.

Christ began to speak of his death and resurrection, but the apostles did not understand it at that time.

Luke 18:34 And they understood none of these things: and this saying was hid from them, neither knew they the things which were spoken.

Christ commissioned the twelve to preach the kingdom of heaven, the gospel of the kingdom (Luke 9:2).

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Matthew 28:19

This is the gospel Peter preached.

Acts 2:36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Peter preached Jesus was the Son of God, the Christ. Peter preached the same baptism of John for the remission of sin, plus receiving the Holy Ghost to enter the kingdom.

Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

Peter preached that the resurrection of Christ would assure he would come and establish the kingdom on earth to believing Israel. Israel will be saved at the coming of Christ Jesus.

God promised a new covenant to Israel in Jeremiah.

Jeremiah 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

God, by his Spirit, will enable Israel to be the blessing to the Gentiles that Israel was unable to fulfill. All the Gentile nations that will enter the kingdom along with believing Israel (Matthew 25:34) will learn of God through saved Israel.

Ezekiel 36:26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

The gospel of the circumcision, preached by Peter and found in Galatians 2:7 is that Christ died and rose again to put in force the new testament. By the new testament, God will forgive Israel, and by his Spirit, enable Israel to obey his commandments and enter the kingdom to be a light to the Gentiles. Israel fell due to unbelief and rejection of this gospel; only a remnant believed, the little flock.

Paul was given the gospel of Christ. Israel was temporarily set aside and Paul became the apostle to the Gentiles. Revealed was salvation and justification given freely to all by faith alone, in Christ alone. Both Paul and Peter preached to Jews and Gentiles. Paul was given revelation by Christ and a gospel in the dispensation of grace.

1 Corinthians 9:17 For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me.

Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

This is Paul's gospel; not of his own invention but by revelation of The Lord Jesus Christ (Ephesians 3:3).

2 Timothy 2:8 Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel:

Below is Paul's gospel; the complete, finished salvation provided by Christ Jesus freely given to all who believe. This is the gospel that saves us today.

1 Corinthians 15:1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

Paul was given revelation of a mystery. Paul preached "my gospel".

Romans 16:25 Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,

The everlasting gospel will be preached during the tribulation.

Revelation 14:6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,

14:7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

The gospel of God is the progressive revelation of God's provision of salvation to mankind. It has always been by grace. It has always been by the blood of Christ, whereby God from the beginning could offer forgiveness to all. It has always been by faith, by believing God.

There is only One New Covenant and is was given to all.

There is only one New Covenant gospel.
100% correct.

just to touch on a few points,
What gospel was the writer of Hebrews referring to ?
answer, Mark 1:1 "The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God;"
The gospel was given to Israel in the wilderness.
answer, 1 Corinthians 10:2 "And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;"1 Corinthians 10:3 "And did all eat the same spiritual meat;"1 Corinthians 10:4 "And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ."
the ROCK is God, Deuteronomy 32:3 "Because I will publish the name of the LORD: ascribe ye greatness unto our God."Deuteronomy 32:4 "He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he."
The gospel of entering into God's rest through belief referred to above in Hebrews 4:2 is not the same gospel given to Israel in the wilderness to possess the land. It can be seen from this comparison that there is more than just one gospel.
nope one gospel, our rest or sabbath is in the Lord Jesus, Matthew 11:28 "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." see Mark 1:1 agaain.
The Davidic kingdom was promised to Israel
nope all peoples, for the apostle Peter got is right after God got him right, Acts 10:34 "Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:"Acts 10:35 "But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him."

Just a few pointers, for the covenant is to the "HOUSE" and not tribes.

The gospel is mentioned as "the" gospel in holy scripture...how then can there be more than one?

Another false and heretical statement from Doug.

THERE IS ONLY ONE GOSPEL, AND IT IS AN EVERLASTING GOSPEL.
There are many facets to the gospel from OT-NT. But it all pointed to Christ in whom is the fulfillment through His life, death,burial and bodily Resurrection/Ascension scene by many witnesses.

Just like there are facets to salvation- we have been saved, being saved and a future aspect to our salvation in the Resurrection.

And yes there is one Gospel which is an everlasting gospel.

Would you agree ?

There is more than one gospel in the Bible. It is imperative to comprehend not only to whom each gospel was given, but how they differ. It is also of the upmost importance to know which gospel is for our salvation unto eternal life.

Galatians 3:8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.

Although the Gospel was perceived differently from OT to NT I believe Paul was just relaying the fact the NT Gospel was embedded in the original Abrahamic Covenant. That Gospel was the coming of Christ to provide not temporal redemption, as under the Law, but much more, eternal redemption.

This eternal redemption would be manifested by the expansion from only Abraham's descendants to include the whole world. The NT Gospel today includes all races, and not just Jews. Therefore, the original promise to Abraham incorporated this hope, and thus presents the Gospel *in advance.*

Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

1 Corinthians 15:1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

I don’t care if there are 50 “ gospels “........ This side of the Cross , there is only ONE GOSPEL that will bring about Salvation, and there us only ONE GOSPEL that God will Judge you by .....Paul calls it “ My Gospel” and you will find it in 1Cor15:1-4......God declares in Hebrews 3 and 4 that if you do not REST in this Gospel you are in a state of “ Disobedience and Unbelief”—— Serious accusations, for sure.REST in the Finished Work Of The Cross or find yourself in a heap of trouble .....

This was your response to me saying:
What gospel was the writer of Hebrews referring to ?

I agree as far as this was the gospel the writer of Hebrews said was to be believed by those he was writing to.
However the topic was rest and the Jews would have entered into rest by believing God and entering the land as can be seen in Hebrews chapter 3.....they would there fore wander in the wilderness.

The revelations given to Paul were mystery (Ephesians 3:9). Our gospel preached by Paul could not then be embedded in the old testament writings. Belief in the gospel that Paul preaches places us in the body of Christ. The body of Christ was a mystery.

the same gospel to Abraham who Israel that was in his loins at the time, by them came the "SEED", not seed(s) as in many, but one.. SEED, who is JESUS the Christ.
this same Gospel was preached from the beginning. listen, Genesis 1:26 "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth."
Genesis 1:27 "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them."

God, who is the first PROPHET in the bible prophesied his coming in flesh, his OWN image to come. this is why he said "us", and "our", which was to come. and he came.... again Mark 1:1.... John 1:1. what was recorded in Mark 1:1 was foretold in Genesis 1:26... (smile). ain't' the bible good, and complete.

so Doug, with that info, add God as the first TRUE prophet in the bible. for what he said all is came true, and will come true....

he said that he was coming, the "US" and the OUR, his diversified state, fulfilled, Romans 5:14 "Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come." again Mark 1:1 John 1:1 and to suppoet God comming in Flesh 1 John 1:1-4.

Man this bible is full circle, and true, and on point.

The new covenant was promised only to Israel See Jeremiah 31:31

You are mistaken. Please follow this explanation carefully

Hebrews quotes Jeremiah who prophesied a New Covenant (Jer 31:31)
Heb 8:8
The days will come, says the Lord,
when I will establish a new covenant with the house of Israel
and with the house of Judah

Some say this New Covenant was only made with the Jews (the house of Israel and the house of Judah) and not for gentiles. Others say that the Church is the new Israel and therefore includes gentiles.

However there is another way of understanding this that avoids these arguments.
Note that both of these quotes refer to the HOUSE of Israel and the HOUSE of Judah.

What, or who, is the house of Israel and the house of Judah?

I think the answer is the king.
In 2Sam 12:8 the Lord (via Nathan) says to David "I..... gave you the house of Israel and of Judah..."
The king represents in himself the house of Israel and the house of Judah.

Another example of the king personifying the whole house is given in Isaiah 7:13 where Isaiah calls king Ahaz the house of David.
Now who became the King?
Who was promised the throne of David?
Answer: Jesus: "He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Most High;
and the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David,
and he will reign over the house of Jacob for ever;
and of his kingdom there will be no end.”
(Lk 1:32-33).

Jesus is the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah; he embodies the Covenant in himself.

In Isaiah, God speaks about the coming Messiah in several "Servant" passages
Is 42:6-7 I have given you as a covenant to the people, a light to the nations, to open the eyes that are blind, to bring out the prisoners from the dungeon, from the prison those who sit in darkness. This is very similar to what Jesus says about himself in Lk 4:18

Is 49:8 I have kept you and given you as a covenant to the people,
The implications are that Jesus is a living embodiment of the Covenant

The Messiah is given as a Covenant to the people, an embodiment of the covenant. And note he is to be a "light to the nations". He is not just for the Jews.

3. The Mosaic/Sinai Covenant could be, and was, broken. But if Jesus is the embodiment of the Covenant it can never be broken. That is why it is an everlasting covenant .

God says to Ezekial (and note this is long after David is dead)
My servant David shall be king over them; and they shall all have one shepherd. They shall follow my ordinances and be careful to observe my statutes. They shall dwell in the land where your fathers dwelt that I gave to my servant Jacob; they and their children and their children’s children shall dwell there for ever; and David my servant shall be their prince for ever. I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them (Ez 37:24-26).

Anyone can come into this Covenant. Since the Covenant is Christ, if we are "in Christ", a phrase Paul used often, we are in the Covenant.

Baptism is how we become "in Christ.".
For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. (Gal 3:27). In baptism we clothe ourselves with Christ. This is being saved and also being part of the body of Christ

As a body is one though it has many parts, and all the parts of the body, though many, are one body, so also Christ. For in one Spirit we were all baptised into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, slaves or free persons, and we were all given to drink of one Spirit. (1Cor 12:12-13). Baptism brings us into the body of Christ (the Church).

Through baptism we are brought into the New Covenant “In him also you were circumcised with a spiritual circumcision, by putting off the body of the flesh in the circumcision of Christ; when you were buried with him in baptism, you were also raised with him through faith in the power of God, who raised him from the dead.” (Col 2:11-12)

There is more than one gospel in the Bible. It is imperative to comprehend not only to whom each gospel was given, but how they differ. It is also of the upmost importance to know which gospel is for our salvation unto eternal life.
....

There is ONLY ONE Gospel of Jesus Christ. All others are false gospels of men, like men's Hyper-Grace doctrine that falsely teaches that Apostle Paul had a different gospel than Christ and His Apostles.

I do see what you are saying.
The new covenant however will cause Israel to keep his commandments in the kingdom as seen in Jeremiah 31:33 Ezekiel 36:27

Through faith we are justified (Romans 3:28). Being justified in this dispensation all are in the body of Christ. We are not partakers of the covenants.

I do see, but you can not say something given to Israel can be applied to us as far as the covenants go.....Paul said we were strangers to the covenants as Gentiles (Ephesians 2:12).
