Kind of sounds like "safe, legal" abortions. :(
Abortion is MURDER!
Some things are just bad for us, period. Why do any Christians want to take mind-bending drugs? What's the point?
I wasn't recommending for anyone to use weed. I was simply saying it would have to be much safer if legal.
The second article I posted addresses some of the reasons pot is more dangerous than alcohol. I think we need to heed the warnings that the medical profession is putting out there. They are the frontline workers who see the REAL detrimental effects of this drug on people and on society.
Back in the 70's booze was clearly much more dangerous, VIOLENCE! I never heard of anyone on weed being violent.

Well I only tried the dope because I could not stand my work anymore, I thought if this is my lot I may as well be in jail or dead, so I thought to hell with it a mate was into it, so I went out with him. the reason why I drank on the weekend was the same thing so you had something to look forward to that was not hell. I was a slave and treated like such. good times drinking and smoking was the best times looking back.

I know miserable people who are in the dumps 24/7 even nowadays and I was like what the hell is your problem, your a bludger you have nothing to complain about, when I had time to myself I would sit back and look at the clouds, I loved seeing them and not have to work, it was valued time for me and I was so happy just not to slave all day. so being whipped all day and then having a brake from that was bliss.
People would say it's a nice day and I was like I have not even had time to look I am run off my feet going for it all day, no lunch brake you eat and drink when you can and get back into it. things are curing so you must act within it's time span.

I have seen lowlife's all they do is take advantage of all who are around them 24/7 it does not matter if they are rich or poor or whatever, it's the same. being punched in the face is the best thing for such people to snap them out of such a stupid outlook on life in taking advantage of people. you can not do such nowadays but you once could because it was man to man them days. it was like oh you want to play it that way do ya, well bang it's on. and he could go to the police and the police would disregard that person and say he got what was coming to him, he is a man and he will have to face up to such things like a man. put it down to experience and grow up and stop taking people like that. but nowadays it's not men it's queers and boys they are degenerate low life, not a man among them. cunning with no virtue. little boys brats playing games priding themselves on their malice using standover tactics as to the law, it's the same with criminals. there is no honour among such people, they sit back laughing when they have you legally over a barrel, they have set you up. I say one day you are going to come across the wrong man and they say directly back no I won't ! they know it could, just like a drug addict knows the game he is playing, so I say to people dealing in drugs, oh well you are in that game but you took it on, so what ever happens to you. don't think I will be sorry for you. If you want to run across the highway without looking so be it.
Now I feel sorry for them that they are possessed but noting I can do about such people, they are set in their ways, they are what's called winning getting on a high regardless of being on a drug or ripping off people, money for nothing is a high and once hooked. but I have no regard for Satanist I am not going to indorse them. they are marked men.
Some people can be nasty because of inner pain, but some people are bad people. bullies, often, taking advantage of those weaker than themselves. Masculinity isn't toxic, it's rare.
Actually, I see masculinity all the time...in women! It seems that many women have lost their glory, what it is to be a woman. When women act like men, we all suffer. We can thank Marxism in the classroom for screwing up kids.
Biden supports sex changes for 8-year-olds. Freaking perverts! All the idiot left leadership is like this. Satanic pedivores who think the laws of nature don't apply to them.
Now what I am understanding here, you are against smoking pot.
Now put it in your own words, if I am wrong.
Now if you are talking to a Christian brother or sister what scripture are you going to site as to say that smoking pot is wrong or a sin.
People need to deal with their inner issues, not smooth them over through addictive behavior (alcohol or other drugs, sex, gambling, exercise, fishing, etc). Not a good idea since rust never sleeps.
I don't look down on someone who smokes a joint. I'd much rather that than being prescribed oxycodone or antidepressants.
I'd use cannabis myself for chronic pain if it agreed with me, but it doesn't so I don't. I've tried.
If someone likes to smoke a doobie after work to unwind, and it doesn't cause them or others' problems, it's their life. And it's not Fentanyl. Thankfully. Shalom.

I am interested in hearing from those that use it, what kind of lifestyle it produces.
Are you talking about regular users? Do you think they're going to pooh-pooh doobies?

I think you need to keep in mind that pot use is still illegal in many states. Do you really want people promoting an illegal activity on a Christian forum? I would think this is against TOS.

Good post. But what are your thoughts on the why'z of it all. Why are people turning to it? Why are people having so much trouble with coping? Why the frequency of mental illness...weakness....emotional troubles....sadness....boredom?

Yes, I know, but I was pointing out that you were using similar bad reasoning that abortion proponents use.

I wasn't recommending for anyone to use weed. I was simply saying it would have to be much safer if legal.

Statistics in Colorado, where pot was legalized several years ago, do not support what you're saying.

Back in the 70's booze was clearly much more dangerous, VIOLENCE! I never heard of anyone on weed being violent.
How was booze more dangerous back in the 70s? In what way? They have been measuring the alcohol content in booze longer than we've been alive.

You need to do some reading, my friend. Violence has often been linked to marijuana use. Educate yourself! Read the articles I posted.

People have turned away from God. They don't have an anchor for their souls. They need Jesus!

Instead of promoting pot, we need to be telling people about Jesus. And instead of devouring each other on Christian forums, we need to be encouraging one another and praying for one another!!!

Pray for one another....Good advise. I think the Apostle James touched on this. The Apostle James certainly believed in praying for one another and loving one another but in his example ~~ If you run acrossed an person and he is naked, cold, and hungry. And you say, Bless you and say you will pray for him....and walk away, is that the application of the Christian way. We talk about the compassion for others, but can you show compassion and judgmental or condemnation at the same time? My questions, that I asked more than once, why are people hurting.

Hurting, it would do no good for me to try to deceive people on this forum. Too many that know me, as I thought you did. Any question anyone on this forum would ask me, most likely there would be people on this forum that could answer for me. I am not a pacifist, and I will hurt people, believer in the righteous butt kicking. But that it not like the hurt that life can give and hurt that judgmental people can render. When it comes to certain drug events, and pushers, and traffickers I can go from zero to ballistic in a nano second....fierce lion. But there is no necessity for that in this thread.

I am out to share some understanding of all the why's Christians turn to pot...why? What is causing all this stress. Christians that have read the Bible, believe in Christ, go to church, have been baptized, I don't believe they just went through the motions. I don't believe that they are not real Christians. But why? Something they missed in the Bible? Something they justified? A pressure that they could not cope with? Why? What is that pressure? And that is what I am out for....a discussion on the topic.

Yeshua is our Savior, our hope, and our light. Do you think that the Christians that smoke pot do not know that? Can we shed some of that Divine light on the topic.

You don't have to tell me about judgmental Christians, as you know. I have found that many Christians automatically judge a fellow Christian who is dealing with big problems. It's called shooting our wounded. We like to assume that they did something bad to deserve those big problems. That way, we think if we avoid their "sins," we won't have big problems ourselves. I have found this to be true of many Christians I have met--even those who preach against being judgy. They are some of the worst. :(

But Jesus said that in this world we will have problems. What makes a difference for Christians is that our Lord has overcome the world! We need to help each other to keep our minds set on this truth....

I was going by what I know personally. Booze has killed and abused an ocean of people.

People are dying like flies from illegal drugs. I say legalize them. Put the drug dealers out of business. Stop the drug wars.

Car wrecks, violence, wife abuse, etc.

Like I said, maybe the weed today is much worse than in my weed days. That's why I say legalize it. Maybe even legalize all drugs. Drug abuse is a plague making wicked drug lords filthy rich. Put them out of business!

I understand what you're saying, but based on the facts, what certain cities are dealing with, I say that legalizing it is a bad idea.

I do agree that there are way too many non-violent drug-related offenders filling the prisons. But that's mostly a problem with the way our prison system is being operated. They've built way too many prisons, and now they try to keep them at a certain level of occupancy. Like so many other institutions in American, this has become a big money maker for some companies through privatization.... A whole other topic.

Yep, people have been in prison for weed for years. So sad! And what's worse, those in government are as bad or worse.

Our local Prosecutor owns a used gun shop. How convenient is that? Government is as bad or worse than those in prison. And they have access to FORTUNES of hard earned taxpayer money. Pelosi is worth over $100 million, not counting her stash.

Because they don't know how to live. They have no absolutes, or, "reference points." The word leads its readers into the pathway of life.
"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the way that leads to life, and only a few find it. Beware of false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves..." When women act like men? What do you mean?
I spend hours in parking lots of stores while waiting for my people to shop. I have nerve damage in my feet and I find it exhausting wearing a mask having COPD so I stay in the car. I watch people.
Many women don't seem to have much femininity to them. They are sloppy about their appearance. They love to fight and swear. Their body language is of young men looking to prove a point. We used to call it machismo. They have lost their glory.
Men, on the other hand, are too often effeminate. Like they have been robbed of their masculinity, which they have. They no longer lead or even know how to.
I view all of this as Divine judgment that has narrowly been avoided by all those who humbled themselves, repented, and cried out to God for mercy on behalf of their country and themselves. To them, I say, "Thank you."
We are in a spiritual fight for our lives and though the tide is turning, our enemy is not about to quit and won't stop until he is bound.
I believe Trump will win on Tuesday. This will happen by Jesus working through us. Which means the battle is raging like never before.
Victory or defeat will happen on Tuesday. Complacency is the enemy here. Make sure you get out and vote. Shalom.
